When it comes to a menu for a popular console, which consoles menu do you prefer? I'm so used to Xbox's menu or shall I say, Dashboard, but I imagine the PS4 and 5 both have decent menus. I think the original Xbox 360 had the best menu. That original menu was my favorite. From the colors to the ease of use, it was perfect. But everything has to be so blah these days. What's your favorite console menu? Which one would you say has the best menu system?

Yeah it certainly does not. I think maybe what happened, was that Crystal Dynamics had a game already set up and made, and Square Enix maybe asked them to scrap some stuff and get in microtransactions. I bet that Crystal Dynamics had something special cooking, but then Square Enix got involved more and probably pushed for certain changes to be made. A good 200 million dollar game wouldn't turn out to be like this game. They could have made a quality game, but they went wrong somewhere and came up with the game we got today, and it was a disappointment for most. I would have much rather had them make a single player experience instead, where you can have the option for like 4 player co-op or something. Not this loot shooter type game.

I'm just going to get it when it gets on sale. I figure I haven't purchased a new AC game in years, so I won't be doing it anytime soon. Plus, I'm still kind of played out on the AC series. Just doing the same thing got boring after a while. And since I hear the game has kind of been a buggy mess, maybe it's best to wait on purchasing it for a bit, until they problems are ironed out abit.

I need to get Dying Light one of these days. I hear such great things about it, maybe it's time I play it. Anyway, my favorite open world games would probably be GTA Vice City, San Andreas, 5, RDR1 and 2, Just Cause 3 & 4, Sleeping Dogs, Skyrim, and so much more.

My first console was the NES, back in the early 90s. It was the console I was pretty much born with, as we had it since before I was born I'd say. Anyway, the first console I got as a kid though, was probably our first Sega Genesis. After that it was the PS1. But yeah, NES was the one that started it all for me.

I 100% agree with ya. There is more than enough games to go around for everyone. Pre-ordering was intended to be a picture of what to expect, but stores will have more than enough in stock.

May not be of interest to a lot of you, but I am super excited about this. Wrestling games haven't been the same in years, especially when it comes to the WWE games. WWE 2K is no longer worth anyone's time and the new WWE Battlegrounds game isn't faring too well either. Anyway, it looks like the wrestling organization are working on two games. One I'm suspecting is a true to form pro wrestling game, and right now we need that. I want good wrestling games again. As well, there may be a smaller, mobile like game on the horizon as well. Can't go wrong with some WWE 2K20 glitches, but the last 5 years worth of games were glithcey messes, so there's bound to be many glitch vids on them. 😄

What are some other gaming peripherals we can use on a smartphone? I figure we got the VR headsets. We also have those controller adapters and controller holders, but are there other peripherals that work on smartphones? I figure with newer phones, a lot of devices can connect to the USB C connection on the phone. Are there any cool adapters, devices that can be used for gaming means? Sadly I don't own a phone that uses USB C, but I will be upgrading my phone eventually.

I had the first Virtua Cop on the Sega Saturn years ago. Had the light gun for it too. I remember playing it a ton with my brother. Such a blast to play. As well, I remember a few other shooters like it on the Saturn and the PS1. I had a Judge Dredd game, but it wasn't good. Anyway, may as well stick to the Saturn. I also had Virtua Fighter 2. It's a really decent fighting game, but doesn't look super great on the Sega Saturn. Either way, I had a ton of fun playing it on the Saturn. I haven't really bothered much with the sequels after though.

I am part of a few discord servers that I use for gaming, and for meeting people who're also into video games. Do you guys ever use Discord for any gaming reasons? I think it's a great tool to bring gamers together. Plus I find myself doing voice chats a lot more with people because of discord, which I normally don't do otherwise. I also like to utilize it more with my close friends too, or I've been trying to get them to use it for voice chat. I prefer it to using facebook or instagram messenger like I used to use. Also, no sharing of discord servers here. I figure advertising them is against the rules, so I won't bother. This is just towards discussion of using it towards gaming means. 👍

Just got level 15 on Genshin Impact, need to get to level 16 in order to join the online portion. Which should be fun! 😄 A few of my friends are already rocking levels up in the 40s or more.

Did anyone here get the new Assassin's Creed game? I haven't played a game in the series since the one in London. I want to give this one a try because of the Viking setting. It looks like a lot of fun, but I'm hearing reviews are saying it's kind of a glitchy mess at times. I'm going to wait to get it until it goes on sale, or until the next AC game comes out. 😄 Anyway, if you did get it, what are your thoughts on it so far? Is it worth the buy? Or should I wait?

And the confusion continues. An Australian woman who ordered an Xbox Series X, received an Xbox One X by mistake. It was down to a retailer in Australia known as Telstra. And I guess others have been having similar issues. But, it may be in combination with poor customer support. Telstra told the customer to put in for the return process and re-order the console. Which means she has to wait yet again. I sure hope that company offers upgraded shipping for the mistake. I think that'd be fair. Read this story here - Gaming Bible It just makes me wonder, how many Xbox Series X and S purchasers will end up getting an Xbox One X instead? I bet ya it's going to be a worldwide issue. The console is out today as well, so people are getting them today and throughout the week and coming months.

I find that life tends to get in the way these days. I work most of the day, or watch youtube. I've been playing Genshin Impact the past couple nights though. I usually game during the night. But yeah, haven't felt interested in playing games too much. When I do game lately, it's maybe a couple hours. I got Control a couple weeks ago and haven't even installed it on my xbox yet. But I think that will be my next game.

Actually, I could see myself playing this for a while. Looks pretty too, so that's a plus. And if it controls well in the water, I'll be happy. 🙂 Sure, PC especially since I have a gaming PC and want to start using it more. 🙂 I heard of Hunter: Call of the Wild. It looked good, but I didn't hear much about it. I'll check it out though.

Is anyone going to pick this game up? It's coming out on the PS4, PS5 and PC on November 12th and it's already getting some great reviews. I don't know if this is a game for me, but maybe my mind can be changed.

What is your game room like? Do you have a couch or a recliner? My game room is part of my bedroom, but I have a love seat right now that I'd actually like to get rid of and replace with a recliner. Other than that, my game room isn't anything impressive. I have a section for my PC and a shelf with the majority of my video games. I would love to one day open up another room and make it just for video games, but I don't foresee that happening for a long time.

If Rocksteady ever decides to stop making Batman games, what other studios would you like to work on a future Batman game? We got a telltale game with Batman, but I want something more akin to the Arkham series. I could see Square Enix doing a good job, even with how bad the avengers game turned out to be. Maybe Naughty Dog too, I would welcome them making a Batman game. But of course, that would result in exclusivity to PlayStation, and I don't think Warner Bros would want to do that. What do you guys think?

Hey, I'd gladly take some free games during this pandemic. According to Eurogamer, the SAGE paper (The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencie) is suggesting that young people having to isolate because of Covid, that they should get some free stuff, including games and other stuff. I'm probably going to guess that this won't happen, but I think it'd be cool to offer some free stuff during these annoying times. What do you guys think?
-
I didn't know that. I guess I learned something new today. But could it still cause any damage to a PC? If it doesn't explode, could it cause a short somewhere in the PC? Just curious.

Yeah the best covers usually come from Japan or other countries. The US I think has the annoying CEOs who want to have a certain cover, so they always have a guy facing the cover with a gun. They're always just mediocre. I wish covers were like the old days of movies, where it was mostly all artistic covers.
-
Yeah I can't wait to play it, but have been waiting for it to go on sale before I pick it up. Well I wouldn't say it's an Epic Games exclusive considering it can also be purchased through the Uplay service from Ubisoft. The overheating issue has since been patched, so that should no longer be doing that.

Fallout 4 is a great game imo. I didn't play it all the way through, but the time I had with it was fun! It's probably pretty cheap at this point too, considering it's a 5 year old game. You could probably get it used for even cheaper. Anyway, it's a fun RPG/Action game, that I'd recommend playing. I don't remember there being city building. Wasn't it more like settlements you could build? I don't recall there being a full on city builder. But I could be wrong.

Recommendations For Survival Horror/Thriller Games
Kane99 replied to killamch89's topic in Video Games
Well, with the popularity of Phasmophobia, I would go with that currently. Of course any of the Resident Evil games, Silent Hill series (SH 2 and 3 mostly). I just started playing a game called In Silence which is a co-op survival game where 5 players face off against one person who plays a monster. Think Friday the 13th. The monster on the other hand can only hear you, and you in turn have to be as quiet as possible.
