When it comes to esports, I imagine for esporting events, they require all players use new controllers provided by the organization running the event. I think that's what they do these days, but I could be wrong. I think it's smart if true, because we wouldn't want some gamer to come in with a modded controller after all. I just figure that everyone is required to use the same controller. What do you guys think?

I've been wanting to play some crime based games lately, stuff where I can investigate, or be a part of the investigation. I love L.A. Noire for that reason and would love to try some other games that are similar in style and gameplay. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Yeah, I played Titanfall 1 and 2. Really enjoyed them. But I haven't found interest in the series in years. I do wonder if they will ever make a 3rd game. I'd buy it. I remember Medal of Honor. It was huge on the PS1 and somewhat on the PS2, but the series sadly tanked as it continued on. Especially when EA tried to revive the franchise. It didn't work so well. But, I'm always open to playing old games again.

What company is the most corrupt in the gaming industry?
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah, Konami deserves to be on this list just from the way they treated Kojima and their other employees. They clearly didn't care about their image, because they tanked it big time. I don't think they can get back into fans hearts either. I think they blew it. The only way I'd consider respecting them again, is if they started to work on games again. If they don't plan to make anymore games, at least sell of some of those franchises. -
Top 20 worst video game controllers of all time From WatchMojo (YouTube)
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah, I kind of disagreed on the N64 controller being on the list. I know it was an odd controller and some found it hard to get used to, but I rarely had problems with them. If anything, I like the design over some controllers today. -
This is an odd story, so it seems Gamestop is doing a new contest with Tik-tok, where the prize you win, is more work. Read more on this here - WCCFTECH So this contest is interesting. It seems to be meant for store managers to do a dance to win some prizes. The prizes include: Echo 8, Echo Auto, $100 VISA gift card and...... 10 additional labor hours to use during Black Friday week! So you heard that right. They're giving the winning store, 10 additional labor hours to use during the Black Friday sales. Can you believe that? This means the manager can divy these hours up among employees so they can have a blast working on black friday lol. But the manager wins the prizes otherwise. How fun! What do you think about this? Is this dumb? Or is this extremely dumb?

Yeah I suppose it could have been a trend. But even so, I would love to have a BMX game. There was a BMX game on Xbox One, but it was a indie game where the controls weren't that good. I just miss those games. We don't see them enough these days. What I think would be cool, is if they released a compilation set with all kinds of extreme sports in one package.
-
It's possible some of the Halloween bits were added to the single player. I doubt it, but that would be cool. I haven't touched RDR2 in a while. In fact, I've been playing RDR1 Undead Nightmare as of late. Weird going back, but it's so worth it. But yeah, I heard there was corpses where the eyes still moved, but I think that was online as well.
-
Extreme sports used to be hugely popular genre, but it seems there hasn't been much going in the genre for years now. With Tony Hawk Pro Skater making a comeback with the remastered 1 & 2 set, it got me thinking, why haven't we seen more extreme sports games released? I wouldn't mind more skateboarding games, as well, BMX, snowboarding, inline skating, etc. Back in the day I remember Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, and wish there was more games like this on current consoles. What do you guys think? What other extreme sports would you like to see get games again?

Classic games from your youth that everyone has forgotten about?
Kane99 replied to DylanC's topic in Gaming Forum
Well I agree with Jak and Daxter, and somewhat on Ratchet and Clank, but Crash Bandicoot kind of had a resurgence recently. So I don't know if I'd count it. Jet Moto and Wipeout I agree with, because I don't think we'd had any recent ones. Yeah that one seems quite forgotten. I sadly never played it, but at the time or release, I remember it being quite popular. -
Does anyone here remember this game on the PS1? It was like a military strategy game, where you could play as tanks and mechs. The mechs kind of looked like the AT-ATs from Star Wars. Check out a few screenshots below for what I mean. I remember playing this game a lot when I was a kid, but never got too far in it. The enemies always found a way to defeat me. I think I mostly played the two-player mode with my brother, and we had fun playing against each other. Do you guys remember this game?

Controller is going to work wonderfully well. I just hope this doesn't break as easily like controllers often seem to do these days. Had my fair share of problems with my Xbox controllers over the years. I'm just tired of having to purchase new controllers every couple years, hopefully that changes with these new gen controllers.

I love Alan Wake. The game was something I originally was too scared to play, but when I finally did, I realized how fun it truly was. As well, it's not as scary as I originally thought it would be. Anyway, we got the American Nightmare DLC and Control has some DLC coming or already released that includes a story line with Alan Wake. But I want a full on sequel now. Alan Wake came out in 2010, one of the best years in gaming imo, and with that, I would love to see a new Alan Wake game release. I doubt it will ever happen, but I would be the happiest boy ever if it were to ever happen. If they did make a sequel, do you think it'll release on all consoles? Or will it be exclusive to the Xbox?

The Retail Boxes For The New Call Of Duty Are Seriously Confusing
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
True, but a lot of those parents grew up with video games, and even they are going to get confused by this. Plus, you gotta think of the grandparents too, because they're not going to know what the difference is. One way to solve this, is to put a cardboard sleeve over one of the versions. Maybe for the Xbox Series X version just to differentiate between the two. -
What are some good hunting games worth playing? I mostly see the stuff Cabella offers, but their newer games tend to be quite bad. I used to play one on the PS2 back in the day, but I don't recall which one it was. I know there are a lot of hunting games out there, but what would you consider to be the best of the best? What are some actually good ones worth playing though?

On the contrary, multiple people won by doing this method in the past. I think the big thing is doing it later in the night or at a certain time. But I don't know if the time has anything to do with it really. I forget what site it was, but winners reported their wins with verified proof. So people win, but it's quite rare like any other prize program similar to this. And on the plus side, you don't even have to buy anything from Taco Bell to enter. I have entered those same codes daily for the past few days. They pick winners randomly, so you could enter one of the codes and boom, you're a winner. If I happen to win, which I doubt, I will for sure update this topic with the proof of it.

Watched this earlier and felt I had to share. Do you remember using any of these controllers? I've used some, like the Powerglove for example. I only had the glove portion, and never figured how to get it to work. I idiotically cut the cord to wear as a glove when I played cops and robbers lol. Wish I didn't cut the cord on it though 😞 But oh well, can't go back in time to stop myself from doing so.

Bad news, it looks like Sony has blocked this site from selling anymore of these PS5 faceplates. Supposedly they did not get licensing and all that to be able to sell these face plates in the first place. Once they do though, they can potentially sell these fine. This company had to cancel all the orders and refund all buyers. You can read more on this here - VGC They also had to change their site, Which I figured would happen eventually with it being so close to the PlayStation name. Their new site can be found below: https://www.customizemyplates.com/ I kind of disagree with Sony on this. These guys should be able to produce 3rd party peripherals for the console, including face plates. Does each 3rd party company have to get licencing and all that to product devices for said consoles? I always was under the impression that 3rd party companies could make their own peripherals as long as it doesn't use the same exact parts and designs.

It would have to be a big discount imo. And they would have to figure out a way to make it where sand doesn't collect in the hinges and all that. But, if the product is well made and continues to get better with new updates, changes, it could be the future of mobile phones. But I just don't see it happening.

Yeah I got that wrong. It's more of a spiritual successor to the True Crime series. Square Enix purchased the rights to it, but decided to not use the True Crime title and went with Sleeping Dogs instead.

I tried this last year when they were doing a giveaway for the Xbox One X, but never won. Each day you can enter up to 3 codes a day. But you need codes from purchasing food at Taco Bell. But, there's good news on that, you don't need to spend money on Taco Bell to get a code. Taco Bell released 3 codes you can use every day to enter with. Here's the place to enter the giveaway: https://winxbox.com/ Here are the codes you can re-use each day: SX7YR97XYV96 SX7V936NBPP9 SX7NLYZNHCZ6 I found this tip here - Heavenly Steals

Does anyone remember True Crime: Streets of LA? It was one of the newer competitors to GTA that released back in 2003. I loved the game, from the fun fighting, to the driving and shooting cars to cause them to go flying. Game was a true blast to play. They had a sequel called True Crime: Streets of NY as well, but it wasn't as good as LA. The cool thing with these games, is that they eventually became the Sleeping Dogs franchise. Or it was made by the same people.

This sounds like it'd be a ton of fun! I guess we're getting a battle royale game in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. I haven't really played much of the series, but this sounds like a great idea. Vampires and battle royale! 😄 The thing I noticed, is that it's not from the same developers. It will be made by Sharkmob, and it's their debut game. So I hope it turns out to be good. You can read more about this news here - WCCFTECH

The Retail Boxes For The New Call Of Duty Are Seriously Confusing
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
They could have easily changed the case design a bit. Why not make it look like the series X logo, so an all black case with their logo? I think that would be dope and would match the new console. It would at least curb the confusion amongst consumers. -
Sometimes I take a break to take in the scope of the graphics. It's nice to go in and see a world that you might not be able to visit, but it's right there in front of you. Seeing the scope of the world helps a lot as well. Especially in games like Red Dead Redemption 2, and other games with expansive worlds that look stunning.
