To be expected, and how nice, he's only charging $925 lol. People are getting their pre-orders in, and they probably figure they could get a decent profit from selling them. I bet Ebay is full of listings for PS5 and Xbox consoles right now, some going well over $1000. It happens for every new console release sadly. 😞

Not really interested in any mobile games, but thank you for the suggestion. And by hunting, I mean animals for the most part, like hunting deers, bears, and other exotic animals, but in game form of course. I know of cabela's offerings, but I don't know of any other studio making hunting games. For some reason I'm in the mood for a hunting game.

Hands down it's a scam. That's 23 minutes of people spending their money in the hopes of getting one player, who wasn't even possible to get for the first 23 minutes. These companies are super greedy and are hoping people will spend a ton on these loot boxes. I can't wait until the US calls this what it is, which is gambling, and fines these companies for pushing it on kids and teens.

True, but even so, they would have to install the discs if they were to have those. So it's really not much of a difference. But I do agree about the storage. I heard it has 512GB of storage, which is not enough for a new gen console. It should have come with a 1TB drive at the least, not 512GB.

Do you guys consider video games to be art? I personally I do, because there are so many games one could say qualify as art. I would say stuff like Breath of the Wild, Red Dead Redemption, Okami, katamari demacy, Flower, Journey, Metal Gear Solid 3, and so much more. I think games can be an art form, just like movies, music, etc can be. What are your feelings on this? Are video games art?

Watch Dogs: Legion Is Overheating Xbox One X Consoles
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
lol, don't count on that happening anytime soon. Maybe within a year or two, but not this early in release. Though, if they did it, I would totally be happy about that. I got Watch Dogs 2 from them a while ago, so wouldn't mind getting Legion at some point as well. 😄 -
IGN Italy is reporting that the PS5 will not be supporting native 1440p resolution, as they feel it's not needed. But of course, 1440p is mainly what the PC gamers want. Does this worry you for the PS5? Are you ok with them not meeting the 1440p resolution? Do you think 1440p could be included at a later date somehow?

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. I figured the Black Hawk game was back in the PS2 days? I looked up IGI and I feel like I've heard of it before. Can't say I've ever played it though, but it's starting to jog my memory. Plus it looks to have been made by Eidos interactive, so I was familiar with them back then.

More bad news to share, as it looks like Capcom was recently hacked. Capcom is saying that some portions of their services have been compromised, but are reporting that user data doesn't look to have been breached. Of course, who know if they're telling the truth. Are you worried your data may have been accessed? Read more about this story here - The State of Security

Oh I know they won't change their ways. It's more of just a "I wish they would do this" type of topic. 😄 I'm not saying 100% free. Just free to play. These studios could then add in updated rosters, graphics and enhancements. They can charge for their special modes and for microtransactions and all that.

Not sure if anyone here really cares, but EA will be producing further UFC fighting games. It doesn't say how long the deal lasts, but it's a multi-year deal. UFC is a popular medium right now, and games seem to sell quite well. I miss the UFC games from THQ though. I think they made the better UFC games imo. Read more about this news here - BJ Penn Will you guys be buying this one? I think I'll pass, these games tend to be glitchy messes, and the fighting doesn't look as real compared to the older UFC games THQ made.

I don't think this has yet been discussed, but I think all sports games, should be free to play. With the rate each studio has to drop out a new sports title every year, I just don't see why they don't instead make their sports titles free to play, and pop in microtransactions and all that nonsense. We know they're going to do it, so why not make the base game free to play? I think releasing just one game and updating it constantly would be a lot better for all people involved. What do you guys think?

I've heard of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, but I don't recall if I played it. I played Murdered: Soul Suspect. Thought it was decent, but it was too easy of a game imo. I've heard of American Fugitive, and will gladly look into that one some further. Can't say I've heard of Earthworms, but after that trailer, I now want to know more. Thief Simulator looks like a blast to play. Played Saints Row 1-4 🙂 I wish they were making new games in the series, but I know it's been shuffled with studios for a while now, so I wonder who would be even making a new Saints Row. Anyway, I can always revisit the first game again. Haven't played it since 2010 I'd guess.

For those who don't remember, the Playdate is a new mobile handheld gaming device that will be coming out with brand new games, all of which are made on the cheap from what I'm seeing. The handheld also has a hand crank that you can use in game as a controller option. Pretty interesting. Anyway, they reported that orders for their new console will start in 2021. You can read more about this news here -Shack News And you can check out their site here to get more of an idea: https://play.date/

SimCity 2000 or 3000. I remember playing 2000 in my schools computer lab during class. I then got 3000 as a birthday gift. What I found funny, was that my dad found what looked like a used copy, as it was just the jewel case with no cover art. Always thought that was weird. Anyway, I played the hell out of that game. I especially remember using cheats to destroy my worlds. Was always a fun game to play.

Has anyone here played these series? I got all three games on the PS2 a while back from a friend, and have not even tried any of them yet. Are these games any good? Do they compare to other 3D platformers? I think one of these weekends, I'm going to play through them to see how they are. I'm going to guess they're not that great.
-
I think the series s will be just fine. It'll from my understanding still have great graphics and will play all the same games. If you want to play all your games in the best quality and with less lag, than a series x may be a better option. But, I bet your son would be happy with either.

At release, Sea of Thieves wasn't well received, in fact I don't think many really jumped into the game until later on. I hear it's done a lot of changes since release, and it's doing fairly well today. Do you think it's a good time to jump into this game? Or is it still a pass for you? I'm probably going to get game pass again and give it a try.

Same here. I grew up with the Driver series. The first one I played a ton with my brother in law, he was pretty good at the game. I then got my hands on Driver 2, which is my favorite among the original games. Driver 3 was already, but it was a glitched mess and wasn't 100% finished. But yeah, Driver is one of my favorites. But that beginning tutorial, my goodness was it annoying!

This is a nice deal for those who want to extend their PS plus subscription. Which is perfect timing with the PS5 nearly here. Well, it's just 8 days to go until the PS5 comes out. Are you going to take advantage of this offer? Find it at the link here - Twisted Voxel This deal applies to people who need to re-apply soon. I don't think anyone can take advantage of it though. 😞

Yeah, a few free to play games out there make a lot of money in return. I think he means most games that go the free to play model don't have that much success, but I could be wrong. Either way, there are some free to play games that make a ton of money.

What are some popular games that feature a president as a main character or as one of the protagonists? There was one mech game I remember that involved a US president (made up one), but I can't remember what it was called. I am mainly looking for weird games featuring presidents. And hey, it's the election, may as well discuss games featuring a president.

Twin Mirror is a psychological thriller about a man who goes back home to attend a friends funeral. While there, some mysteries are unraveled and he goes on to investigate the many mysteries of his hometown. This game looks quite appealing, and I kind of get the vibe of Alan Wake, and L.A. Noire, with a mix of Batman Arkham Series Detective mode.

When it comes to esports, I imagine for esporting events, they require all players use new controllers provided by the organization running the event. I think that's what they do these days, but I could be wrong. I think it's smart if true, because we wouldn't want some gamer to come in with a modded controller after all. I just figure that everyone is required to use the same controller. What do you guys think?

I've been wanting to play some crime based games lately, stuff where I can investigate, or be a part of the investigation. I love L.A. Noire for that reason and would love to try some other games that are similar in style and gameplay. Do you guys have any suggestions?
