  1. Here we go again, just more confusion for the consumers lol. Phil Spencer has stated that they are already working on future versions of the series x, with updated hardware and such. He says this is a way to help lower costs as well. I suppose we shall see what they have in store for us down the road. But for now, it's just the Series X and Series S. I imagine down the line, we'll get some smaller versions of each console. Read more about this news here - Pure Xbox
  2. Whether it be a console, a device like a controller, or problems with video games, have you ever had to send any items in for repair? I recently had to send my nephews joy con controllers in for repair with Nintendo. Which they did for free. I also sent in my original Xbox 360 in for repair multiple times because of the dreaded red ring of death. I ended up sending it in 5 times. Yeah, it was annoying. Other than that, I haven't had to send anything else in for repair. Have you?
  3. Immediate Castlevania vibes from this one. Looks quite good. I wonder if it was made by the people who did Castlevania. The character movements are reminding me of another game, but I can't remember the name. Anyway, this looks cool. If I finally get myself a switch, I'm checking this one out for sure.
  4. You mean like studios will just start to charge for those customization options? I can see clothing items being charged for, that's kind of to be expected. But I hope they don't charge for anything else. I don't need special clothing items for my avatar. I just want to be able to make myself in game form.
  5. I'm sure we will see many open world games with VR. It's bound to happen eventually, as I suspect many people will want to live in virtual worlds anyway. I can't wait to do VR one and eventually live in a virtual world. Well not literally, but you get my point. 😄
  6. Yeah I saw that. I would love to see them do a Zelda Maker. But Final Fantasy would be even better imo. Just the idea of creating your own version, would be cool. Hmm, I could see it. It already has the options for building, so it wouldn't be hard to implement I imagine.
  7. I have a HyperX keyboard myself. Really good quality budget brand. 👍 Sennheiser is an awesome brand. Went through a couple of the HD205 DJ headsets. Sadly they broke after a certain amount of time. First pair was under warranty, but not the second pair. Sucked, because I really liked the sound quality. I also like and hate the long cords for their headsets, because it can be a pain to deal with lol. But still, I love the brand even though I had some problems in the past.
  8. Amnesia: Rebirth comes out tomorrow, and I am actually kind of interested in it. Even though I'm a wimp when it comes to horror games, I still want to give this one a go. Is anyone here picking this one up tomorrow? I might wait a little bit before I purchase it though. Check out the trailer below.
  9. 2K, becoming the new EA and Activision, how fun! So, it seems that there are now unskippable advertisements in NBA 2K21. According to a gamer, he had to sit through an ad, before starting a game of his. I suppose it could be a way to hide the loading menu and all that, but still, no one wants to be advertised to after spending $60-$70 on a new game. It's bad enough all of these 2K games are full of microtransactions. How can studios be so tone deaf these days? It's like they have to find ways for fans and gamers to just hate them. Also, it sounds like 2K has been doing this since 2K19, but fans are still annoyed by it. As they should be. Anyway, you can read about it here - Gamerant Also here's a tweet bringing it up:
  10. This console looks sexy! Analogue unveiled their new console, the Analogue Duo. This new console supports; TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine, SuperGrafx, TurboGrafx CD, PC Engine CD-ROM, and Super Arcade CD-ROM. And I'm surprised to say, it'll only cost $199.99 at release in 2021. Is this something you would buy? I don't have any games for either console/device, so I have no use for it, but if you're a collector who has alot of these games and no consoles to play them, this will be perfect for those people. Read more about this here - The Verge
  11. Wild 9 was a game I got for like $12 because I bought it from a friend of mine at the time. I had such a blast with the game, but it gets really tough. I remember the controls were kind of tough to get used to at times, but it was an inventive game for the time and was fun smashing dudes back and forth and throwing them in grinders. Does anyone here remember it? Maybe you played it? I sold it years ago and have been thinking of buying it again so I can give it another go. I think the last time I played it was before the 2000s, or maybe early 2000s. Check out some gameplay below to get an idea of it.
  12. We have never had an Assassin's Creed game that takes place solely in modern times (in terms of playing the assassin of course). I was always under the impression, that the first two games would grow Desmond Miles into a modern assassin, but it never came to be and we kind of moved on from the animus storyline for the most part, to focus on the past assassins. But, wouldn't it be cool if we were introduced to a new assassin in modern times, maybe somewhere like New York, or anywhere with many buildings. Could be quite good. What do you guys think? Could an assassin's creed game work in a modern environment?
  13. I'm thinking of going that route actually. It's way too technical for me to make a monitor out of a laptop. But, I have seen videos on YouTube of people doing it. I think you just need to use some kind of small motherboard thing and some other components. Yeah, after writing that, I'm sure you can see how awful I would be at doing this lol. But, if I find a cheap old laptop, I might actually give it a try just for the hell of it.
  14. Oh wow, I had no idea that was actually on mobile. Well, color me intrigued. I tried Ark on Xbox ages ago, but couldn't get into it. Maybe mobile will be a bit more appealing. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
  15. No more tailing missions (Assassin's Creed). I hate tailing missions in games, because it's just so slow. It takes me out of the game and just slows the pace down way too much. Assassin's Creed does this way too much in their games. And I think even GTA is guilty of this. I like that. Kind of what RDR2 where random enemies will come out and attack you when you decide to just ride around. I could see that being done for more games to increase random events.
  16. I always go with braided cords as those seem to last a lot longer. The headset I use now has a braided cord and its held up quite well. But yeah, I want to eventually get a wireless headset to actually get away from all the cords.
  17. Well my intention was to discuss our favorite games. This wasn't intended like a forum game if that's what you guys thought it was. I might need to change the title of the thread to "discuss a favorite of yours each day" or something along those lines, as I clearly caused some confusion with the title. When you bring up a game, let's discuss why you consider it a favorite of yours, your history with it, do you have any fond memories with it, what did you not like about it? Etc. It can be just about anything. We can also respond to each other about their favorite games, it doesn't have to revolve around just posting a favorite game for each user. If you want to say an entire series, I say go for it. This topic is really more about just discussing a favorite game of yours every day. But I'd prefer if people went into more detail as to why it's their favorite game(s) or franchises. What makes these some of your favorite video games? Seems you're really into racing games. 🙂 What makes it one of your favorites?
  18. With all the confusion around the new Xbox Series X name, it got me thinking. Instead of outright calling it the Xbox Series X, why not just go with Series Xbox or something? People are already confusing it with the Xbox One X, which is very close in name to the series X. So, instead, just call it the Series Xbox or something. Or even Xbox Series or something. Just anything besides this Xbox Series X. What do you guys think?
  19. Who wouldn't want a Dino Crisis remake? Well it looks like a fan decided to make his own concept art on what he thinks would look good for a Dino Crisis remake. This is simply just artwork, but it's really good artwork and would set a good tone for a Dino Crists Remake I think. Check the article below if you want to check the photos out: Source - Twisted Voxel
  20. Syphon Filter, the one game that had the chance to compete with the Metal Gear Solid series, and did a fairly good job at first. I sadly did not play the first game, I played a demo for it hundreds of times though lol. I think I had the second game in the series though, and I played that like crazy as a kid. Looking back, it hasn't aged super well, but I had a blast playing it. I wish they tried to make new games in the series, because this franchise could do with a reboot. What's your favorite game in the series?
  21. Does anyone play any retro games in the esports scene? I can see a lot of classic fighting games, sports games, and more that can be done as esports. Do you think anyone is doing retro game esports leagues? I'd love to play some Smackdown here comes the pain in a esports setting, as I think I could get pretty far. 😄 What retro games would you like see done in esports?
  22. I sadly have the Xbox One version of RDR2, so I can't take advantage of all the mods and fun stuff you can do in the PC version. A modder who goes by 'HermanDude' has released a mod with monsters and creates that you can take out in RDR2. The new additions are: Big Sister Bogeyman Giant Hunter Giant Prisoner House of the Damned King Bear Megalodon Snow Giant Vampires King Alligator According to the modder, there will be bugs and glitches, as these mods are fairly new and aren't 100% complete. I guess the vampires for example, do not attach with their vampire powers, but instead use pistols like any other enemy. I think the modder plans to eventually mod powers for these characters and creatures so it adds even more fun to the action. More details on this mod can be found on this article here - DSO Gaming As well, check out a video some of the mod in action. It's not in english though, but that shouldn't be a problem. They list the names of each one.
  23. When it comes to your gaming headsets, do you prefer going for the cheap headsets? Or do you go for the expensive ones with much better sound quality? Currently I am going to cheap route, as I have this cheap Onikuma gaming headset that I got on Amazon for like $25. I've had it for probably 3 years now, and I mostly use it on my PC for audio, but I'm surprised it's worked for so long. Most headsets I purchase die within a year or so. I wouldn't mind getting an expensive headset one of these days, but I see no point in it. The headset I mentioned is stereo based, so I can also hear game audio and voice chat, and it works quite well. This was the headset I bought - Amazon I kind of want one of those Razer headsets though, I hear they're really good! 🙂
  24. I'm going to start off by saying, that I don't hate or dislike the new PS5 controller. I do think it kind of looks outdated though. I feel like this would have been a controller released with an older console at some point. Plus it looks more bulky than a PS4 controller. The PS4 controller looked sleek, but this one looks like a chunky boy. idk, what do you guys think?
  25. I've been getting all EA games used anyway, so no money is going to them 😄 And, I usually get a game of theirs like 3-4 years back, so I'll be playing something like Madden 17 while Madden 21 or something is out. There's literally no point in buying any of the new ones, especially when you can get older games for like a few dollars. I've never purchased any new sports games from Madden for that reason lol. Been doing this since like Madden 07 lol.
