  1. Oh I believe it. Especially with how many gaming/toy stores there are in Japan. They probably put American collectors to shame lol. He's got a ton! I'd give my left and right tit to own his collection. 😄
  2. Yeah I suspect that to be the eventual outcome. I have a feeling we're going to get a tamer GTA as well, which worries me a bit for the future of gaming. We need GTA to be GTA. If they were to actually make a Manhunt 3, how pulled back do you think it'd be in terms of violence and gore? I mean, RDR2 had some gore, so for that reason, I could see them trying for a Manhunt game, but even so, I feel like they won't allow for some things. If anything though, I would take a Bully 2 at least.
  3. A hell of a collection indeed. It would be a dream come true to have a collection of this calibur. A collector named Low-san, has two houses, one for himself and one to store his gaming collection that is just across the street from him. Read more here - Kotaku And watch the tour of this collection below. (Turn on captions)
  4. Do you have those friends and family who judge you because you enjoy video games? Like the whole "eh, games are for kids, you're an adult, you should be doing adult things". I find it extremely hypocritical when people judge me for being into video games, when half the time they watch reality tv, watch sports on tv, read books, watch movies and tv, listen to music, etc. It's a hobby that I enjoy, and I see no issue with it. Anyway, do you have family and friends who're like this?
  5. Is it possible to convert an old laptop's screen into a 3rd screen? I'd like to have a 3rd screen added to my current setup, but I want to make sure it's light enough to mount above my current monitors, plus my wall sucks, so I don't want anything too heavy. I figure an older laptop screen would be possible, the only issue, is that I'd have to figure out how to mount it and wire it, and idk If I'm capable of doing all that. Do you guys know of any how-tos I can check out? I believe I mentioned a while ago, that I wanted to put up an HDTV, but I don't know if I have the space for that. So a smaller 3rd monitor would be pretty dope imo.
  6. I thought this would be a fun thing to do to get discussions going about some of our favorite games, but instead, each new day, we'll talk about another favorite game of ours. Each person can talk about any game they want, but let's stick with one favorite for each person per day. Anyway, one of my favorites that I'd like to talk about, would have to be Alan Wake. As I said previously, I got my nephew to play it recently, and he really likes it. It's cool to see him playing it. As well, he's not bad at the game either, which surprised me. Anyway, I remember my brother played it before I did, but he never finished the game. I was always scared to try it, so I put it off for a few years. When I finally did play it, I fell in love with the game, and I wouldn't really call it a scary game, the controls make it a lot easier to deal with imo. It was easy to get into and a blast to play. The story is kind of campy, but that was a part of the charm. I wish they would give us a sequel already. But I doubt that will ever happen. At least with that game Control I can play that new Alan Wake DLC. I hope it's good. Anyway, feel free to discuss whatever game you want to talk about. Just make sure it's one of your favorites. 👍
  7. I didn't notice if we had a thread devoted to gaming memes, so I figured why not start one now. So here we are. Feel free to share gaming memes in this topic area. Please don't spam or post any overly offensive content. Anyway, I'll start with some memes I have saved on my PC. 😄 Some are new, some are kind of old.
  8. Nice, thanks for sharing. I'll for sure check it out. Do you know of any that don't look like Minecraft? Nothing against minecraft, just not into the genre so much these days after playing Minecraft so much back in the day.
  9. Smart on their part, draws new people in with the show and movies. They're also working on rebooting the live action movies, and look to be going right to the original RE story. Which is wise imo. I think the TV show is going to be a continuation of the story we see in the games, while the new movie coming, is probably going to be separate. I'm excited to see how they deliver though.
  10. I guess there was going to be a Hellraiser game on the NES, but it never came out. Probably wouldn't have been good, but I could have been wrong. Anyway, I think a game today would work perfectly in that world. I imagine you would play as Kirsty or a completely new character. Probably won't get to play as Pinhead though. I could see it working. I watched it. Liked the first season but the second season was pretty forgettable imo. But, I could see the premise working as a video game, especially being able to come back in a new body. Instead, maybe it could be a game where you come back as a new person each time, but still have your skills and all that. But, maybe it would be random who your next body will be. Nice suggestion. 🙂
  11. Yeah I'll certainly keep that in mind. I will need to get some controllers for some of the games, as I need to have something that matches the real controller or it bugs me. I'll look into streamlabs and what they offer. Yeah, I figure with Skyrim, the only popular people playing it seems to be that grandma who has her own YouTube and everything. I don't know if I could bring anything new to the table. But, it could be fun.
  12. Oh for sure. I would be making all kinds of stuff. From statues I'd put on my desk, to wearable items. I think it'd be cook to make cases for raspberry pi devices too. You can do so much with them. I bet someone already made a scouter from Dragon Ball Z. If anything, they might the 3D plans on a site somewhere for free. 🙂
  13. Do you guys ever use racing wheel peripherals? I have an old one for the PS1 that I remember stopped working at some point, and I still have it sitting in my closet. I'm thinking of finally getting rid of it, and finally getting one for my PC maybe. I'm not much into racing games, but I think it'd be worth it to use a racing wheel. Speaking of that, do you guys have any good suggestions for driving wheels for the Xbox One and PC?
  14. Do you think we could ever get a Manhunt sequel? Manhunt 2 came out in 2007 and we haven't had a new game in the series since. Do you think Rockstar would ever produce a 3rd game in the series? I would welcome it, but I suspect Rockstar wouldn't want to deal with a sequel in today's political climate, at least not yet. What do you guys think?
  15. I'm mainly asking for smartphone games, but I'm open to other games on other mobile platforms. Anyway, are there any good open world games available on mobile devices? Something that's more sandbox style, maybe with driving, or anything medieval. Just something open world where you can travel. I don't really see stuff like that on mobile much, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
  16. Lately the Xbox One has been gradually updating the dashboard look, but there is expected to be a new dashboard release this week (though some may already have it?). If you check the home menu, it now has highlights around the buttons, and shows a circle with the amount of people online. Actually looks quite nice. Anyway, not a whole lot is being changed otherwise, it'll still be the same, but with some added changes. And good news is, it's expected to run faster then past dashboards did. You can read more on this here: The Verge
  17. That's quite impressive. Call of Duty Mobile has surpassed 300 million downloads only in just one year. I wonder if we'll see an increase in more downloads. Could they maybe make it to 600 million? I downloaded it a while back and gave it a try. It was alright, but I don't think I'd be able to play it for long unless I got one of those controllers for mobile phones. Check the video out for more details on this news. \
  18. It really depends on the game for me. If it's a GTA, of course it's gotta be an open world game. But, if it's more of a story driven game, with not much to do in the world it's set in, then a linear game is totally fine imo. Sometimes games don't need to be massive open worlds, because in order to have that, it needs stuff to do. That's why games like Mafia 1 and 2 for example, are more linear games, because once you complete the stories, there isn't anything else do to. And that's ok, because sometimes, a game can rely on the story and gameplay alone to sell it. These days I prefer a mix. I like a simple game from time to time, that doesn't have a massive world to get through. But, there are games where I want exactly that, a sprawling world that you can investigate whenever you feel like it. If I had to really choose though, I'd say sandbox games, mainly because of there being a lot more to do. But, linear games have their place as well.
  19. Even so, that thing is going to take up a lot of space, even laying horizontal. According to The Verge here, the PS5 is going to be the biggest console in modern history. It is going to be 15 inches tall, so around the size of a smaller PC or so. I'm sure gamers will figure out how to place it in their entertainment center, but it's going to be a tough fit. Now imagine owning both consoles, it's going to get crammed.
  20. Yeah, Mixer was an utter failure for Microsoft, and that had to of been a major blow to them money wise. Didn't they pay him hundreds of millions? And for sure, he'd still be popular even streaming on the worst streaming platforms. And I wouldn't really say different, as he was on Twitch in the beginning and is back there again. At first I thought he'd jump to Facebook Gaming, since that's what Xbox did. But that's a good thing he didn't, because who wants to stream games on Facebook these days?
  21. I saw some gameplay of it, and it looks scary good. The gameplay I saw was alpha and looked weird, but hopefully they fixed that before release. Anyway, it kind of reminds me of a mix of RE7 with The Evil Within. I might have to get it for a Halloween stream one of these nights. 😄
  22. I have an update, so I do have a game in my collection that seems to be somewhat rare. I have the PS1 version of a game called In the Hunt. I made a topic here about the game. 👉 Here. I'm not able to find anywhere selling the game aside from Ebay, which has the same exact copy I do, going for $459.99 here. Mine looks to be in similar shape, but does have some markings and scratches, and portion of the cardboard is coming off. I decided to check the two other long box PS1 games I have, Agile Warrior F-IIIX and Warhawk, but they aren't worth much. But In The Hunt, in the long box at least, seems to be quite rare. While the jewel case is also going for like $200 or so. I also noticed some people just selling the disc for like $100+. Wish more of my games were this rare.

    In The Hunt

Does anyone here remember this game? It came out on the PS1, Sega Saturn, PC and arcades back in 1993 and again around 1995/1997 (Saturn,PC/PS1). I had the PS1 version in the big case as a kid. I remember having a blast playing this game. It got really tough though and I never finished it. I still have it in my collection too. Maybe one of these days I'll finally complete it. Anyway, from what I remember, you play as a submarine that can shoot projectiles such as missiles. You can shoot up, down, backwards (i think a powerup) and forward. There can be a lot going on at once in this game, but it's such a blast to play. On a whim, I decided to look into what this game was worth, and it's going for like $200-$400 used, but complete. My goodness, I found the rare game I own. 😄
  24. You know how with Nintendo Online, you get NES and SNES games included. Do you think N64 and GameCube will be included in options like this? So a section just for N64 and GameCube, where you can go in and play a group of popular games on each console. They could easily do something like this, and it would certainly draw me in more, as I have wanted to get myself a switch forever now. I'd even like them to add options for Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Advance. Hell, while we're here, maybe even sections for DS/3DS games, because that'd be awesome on the Switch. Unless they already have something like that? I know they have the marketplace where I imagine some of their popular games can be purchased, but I'm speaking in terms of what online offers you with NES/SNES games. It could work for other Nintendo consoles. Maybe add paid tiers for N64/GC, and even the handheld consoles.
  25. I don't get why character customization for a lot of games feels lacking. I just want a game where I can make my guy look almost identical to me. So, It got me thinking, why don't more games do what NBA 2K/WWE 2K series does with their custom face uploader? In those games, you can upload your face and put it on a custom character. Of course the results aren't great by any means, but it's a start for sure. I'd love to be able to upload my real face, put it on a character that looks like me, and then play in that world as me. It'd be so cool. But, most games these days limit it to skinny avatars or some with just a little weight. What if I want a fatter dude running around in RDR2? We're at a point in gaming, that devs could easily find a way to input a players face. I imagine with next gen, face models are going to look brilliant. I just wish they would give us better character customization for more games.
