Duke Nukem hasn't been popular in years, and I suspect his popularity has gone down in recent years. His most recent game, Duke Nukem Forever was a mess of a game that didn't deliver what fans were waiting for all those years. It came and gone like that. But, could Duke Nukem ever make a comeback? Personally I don't see it, as his character has not aged well, and probably wouldn't fly in today's political climate. As well, I kind of feel Duke is a bit played out and would rather they went back to the original style of gameplay. What do you guys think? Do you think Duke Nukem could ever make a comeback in his own game again?

Sony released a video showcasing the PS5 and it being taken apart to see the innards of the machine. You can watch that video below. Goodness this console is huge though. Just look how big it is compared to the guy in the video.

EA just keeps outdoing themselves and not in a good way either
Kane99 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming News
Of course, it's EA, they don't consider it gambiling, but call it a video game component or something along those lines. idk, they made an excuse in the past saying that loot boxes and all that stuff was a feature in the game and wasn't gambling. But it's gambling hands down, there's no way for them to legitimately claim otherwise. No wonder so many people can't stand EA, they just keep shooting themselves in the foot with their stupidity. -
Does anyone remember The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct? It came shortly after the season 1 game, and wasn't good at all. I remember playing it for a few hours to give it a chance, but each level was pretty much the same thing. I never got through it. But the Telltale series is masterclass in my opinion, well at least the first season, because after that first season, it does kind of go down hill. But not as bad as the television show lol.

I forgot about Rocket League. That's something I could see myself playing. Only issue though, is that I can see many people already streaming it on Twitch, so I'm not sure if anyone would tune in to me playing it. But I suppose we can see and find out. 😄

I could do Among us and CS: Go I imagine. Among Us kind of gives me anxiety though, because I can never lie my way out lol. I can't play the impostor anymore, get to scared when it comes time to do the meetings. CS: GO I played somewhat back in the day, but haven't played it in years. I would probably play pretty awful lol. And as for NFS, was never too into the racing games. My brother is way more into racing than myself. I might stream some THPS1+2 remastered and its online mode. Had fun when I played it briefly before.

Why is it that Nintendo hasn't made a sequel to Super Mario Sunshine? I have always wanted a sequel to this game. Mario Galaxy got a sequel, why can't Sunshine get one? I mean, it would make sense, seeing as Sunshine was a great game in the series. It may not have been the best all around, it was still something different and unique for a Mario game. So, would you guys ever welcome a sequel? Or should Mario move on into the future?

Well I didn't expect this, but Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is getting the remastered treatment. Probably not the game I would have wanted remastered, *cough cough, Need For Speed: Underground *cough cough. But I think fans will like it. Watch the trailer below if you're at all interested.

True, but I think it's so much cooler to be able to play original hardware online somehow. Just imagine if there was a connector you could buy with Wifi and an online system, where you'd just need to connect it to your NES to get full online capabilities. That would be so cool! If they can make a cart with wifi, imagine if they just made a wifi connector to get more games online somehow.

Unfortunately it does seem to happen for the Switch Lite as well. The problem with joycon drift, is that it's the analog sticks that have the problem. This can in turn happen with the Switch Lite. The only difference, is that you'd have to send in the full console to get it repaired. 😞 This article discusses how it's happening for Lite models as well. https://www.pcmag.com/news/nintendos-switch-lite-also-suffers-from-joy-con-drift\ The good news though, is that Nintendo will fix these problems for free if they can find it to be the problem. The downside is having to wait for your Switch Lite to come back.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Never really thought to stream mobile games, but it could be fun. I've been looking into mics as of late, and have no idea where to begin. Do you guys have any suggestions? I currently have a cheap Fifine mic that I paid like $25 for a couple years ago. I find the audio is very annoying, and want to upgrade to something more reliable and not painful to the ears. My budget for something like this is around $60-$80 or so. Any suggestions for a good streamer mic? I purchased an 1080p Aukey Webcam. Still unsure if I want to put my face on streams, but we shall see. I hear you can put cartoon avatars over yourself with some Nvidia software, so I might go that route too. 😄

Lets guess what GTA VI will be about, setting, protagonist, etc
Kane99 posted a topic in Video Games
So GTA VI hasn't yet been announced, but it's likely we'll be hearing more after the PS5 and new Xbox comes out. I suspect 2021 we'll get our first bit of news and then we'll find out when we can expect GTA VI. But, what do you think they will do in terms of the setting? What about the protagonist? Will they continue the player switch option they had in GTA V and have multiple protagonists? What about a female protagonist? I could see that finally happening. I'm hoping they go back to Vice City, and maybe even Liberty City. Or, it could be a completely new setting altogether. What do you think we can expect in a new GTA? I don't care about the online mode, but if you want to discuss that as well, you're welcome to. 🙂 -
Source - Twisted Voxel The map for Cyberpunk 2077 has leaked, and I must say, it doesn't look that big. According to the article, Night City is divided into 7 districts, as you can see on the image below. Do you think this world is big enough? I feel like it could be a lot bigger. What do you guys think?

This is really cool news. There is a new NES game in the works called Super Tilt Bro, and it has online capabilities. But how? Well, they built a wifi chip inside of the game cart so that people who have the game, can actually play against each other, over the web. This could potentially open up new possibilities for old and new NES games. Maybe we'll be able to play popular games like TMNT 2 the arcade game, or Smash TV. Or any NES game for that matter. If someone can mod an old game to include online somehow, this could breath new life into retro consoles. Read more about this story here: Nintendo Life

Oh, it's not exactly like the flashback console. Atari is calling it a PC/Console hybrid and has and AMD Ryzen Processor with Radeon Graphics Tech. You can also stream 4K content (Netflix/Hulu, stuff like that) It will come with many Atari games, but it is also expected to receive new games and possibly even exclusive titles. As well, this is new to me, they are allowing people to install their own OS on it, so you can probably install Windows and play Steam on it even. Though I'm not 100% sure. Check their site out for more details. I still don't see this thing being worth $399.99 at release. You can get a pre-order deal of $10 off, for $389.99, woopdiedoo lol. What a discount.

Yeah it says it can be enjoyed in VR or without. I sadly can't take advantage of the VR options, I sure can take advantage of the standard mouse and keyboard. I could also get a flight stick, as I've been wanting to get one for a while now.
-
Yeah, it plays the same on both, that's why it's so accessible for people. It doesn't take much to run on PC at all, and it runs great on mobile as well. I have only played the PC version, but am thinking of downloading the mobile version for when I'm on the go. 😄

Joycon Drift has been a big problem for the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite since the consoles came out. Nintendo has since offered free re-pairs to those who have joycon drift. I had to send my nephews joycons in for repair, and Nintendo repaired them, no questions asked. I wonder how much money this has costed Nintendo, because the drift problem seems to happen for everyone eventually. Has it happened to your joycons yet?

I didn't know about this until it released. Seems to be getting good reviews as well. Nice to see EA finally getting something right here. Unless they plan to toss in a bunch of microtransactions and stuff. I'm tempted to buy this and see how it runs on my PC. Don't have VR, but that's ok.

Whenever I game, I tend to mute the game lobby. I'm usually with a group of friends anyway, so muting the lobby is a no brainer. These days people still swear up storms and act like children when it comes to public game lobbies. Especially in games like Call of Duty. I was playing COD MW a while back, had no mic connected, but I could still hear the players complain between games. It was funny and also annoying at the same time. I have anxiety, so I usually just mute every game lobby I play in. If anyone does bug me though, I usually just mute, block or even report if they get too out of hand. Plus, I don't want to hear some dumb 12 year olds saying racial slurs and other dumb stuff. So, do you mute public game lobbies? Or do you like to sometimes listen to what they have to say? These days I'm usually in discord voice or in a private party with friends anyway.

Nice, I got the same one myself, except mine says NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super, but it also has 4GB of Vram. Plays games really well. Haven't had any problems, gaming and streaming even. 🙂

I catch myself looking at my collection wondering what I should play next. Sometimes I just stare at my games and just remember the good old times when I played them a ton. These days I haven't played a whole lot. Just been playing a lot of THPS1+2 remastered. How do I decide on what games to play? Well that's a good question because I often just jump on my Xbox and see what they have on gamepass, so I tend to overlook what I already have at this point. I took out my PS2 a while back and was thinking of playing that more, especially with some of my backlog there. But I can't seem to ever get to it.

I originally got it for the Xbox 360 when the game first came out. I then upgraded to the Xbox One version eventually and once I got a decent PC, I took advantage of the Epic Game Stores free release of GTA V. I only really play it on Xbox One and PC though. Haven't really played it much on PC though.

I'm sure you're all well aware of the upcoming Atari VCS, which is expected to release for $399.99. There is no official release date from what I can see, but I suspect it'll drop around the time the new gen consoles do, or sometime early 2021. Anyway, I highly doubt this console is going to sell anywhere near what the PS5 or new Xbox is going for. And when this is just $100 less than those consoles, I don't see this console lasting very long, if at all. There hasn't been a lot of news about exclusives, and from what I see they don't even have all the rights to the full Atari catalog. Though I could be wrong on that. I just don't see this thing surviving. What do you guys think though? You can see more of the Atari VCS at this site here - Atari VCS

What are your feelings on fast travel in games? Sometimes they work really well, but other times it's a chore to figure out and a chore to do. For example, RDR2 is annoying, in that to fast travel, you have to be at an outpost. So, you have to sometimes travel for minutes to get to the nearest outpost and then fast travel to the next location, which can take nearly a minute in itself. Just give us an option to fast travel to locations from our menu. I understand maybe having to open up an area first before it can be traveled to, but at least make it a quick option in the menu once its been opened. I know I'm just ranting at this point. But I've become a lazy gamer lol. I just want to get to the gameplay as fast as possible and not be stuck going from one place to another just to get to another location. What are your feelings on this?
