  1. I don't even have service for my phone as well, so I'd be out of luck when it comes to playing the newest COD. Though I think they me trying to push this for all of their games, so I could see some of the last few games getting similar treatment. I could see something like that happening.
  2. Did any of the games/devs/studios you know end up winning one of the awards during the Scottish Game Awards? The winners for the recent show was announced, and you can find them at the link below. https://gamefreaks365.com/scottish-games-awards-winners-announced/ Most of the people I don't recognize, and I can't say I've heard of most of the games mentioned, though Cloudpunk sounds familiar and also looks pretty dope. The game winners can be found below: Cloudpunk won; Art and Animation, Best Large-Budget Game, Creativity Audio went to SOLAS 128 Best Educational Programme went to Dundee & Angus College Best Small-Budget Game went to The Baby in Yellow Technical Achievement went to From the Depths Tools and Technology went to Dislectek
  3. The new Gotham Knights dropped and I hear it's not that good. Many commented the combat wasn't great and felt like a chore. I have yet to play it to put my opinion out there, but I'm not sure I want to bother with it. Maybe I'll pick it up as it goes on sale, but for now I'll pass on it. Anyway, where does this leave the future of Batman? I know the Suicide Squad game is coming out soon, and I hear that connects more with the Arkham series than Gotham Knights does. I really hope Suicide Squad turns out to be good though. What could be next for Batman? Will we see a spinoff with Robin in his own game? Maybe Batgirl or Batwoman. I think there's a Superman game coming from Rocksteady too, so that's something to look forward to, even though I'm not too big on Superman. Discuss what you think is next for Batman, and the universe as a whole.
  4. Das a good question! For me it's quite a few. GTA San Andreas - Idk, I feel like the beginning is an iconic start. From the "Oh shit, here we go again" to riding your bike and trying to evade a rival gang. It hasn't aged the greatest, but I still have some nostalgia for it. Skyrim - It starts slow at first and then it puts you into it pretty fast. I love the freedom you got from the start pretty much. The Last of Us - Had to include this too. It starts so fast, and doesn't ever let up. And then of course that ending to the start, still tough to sit through. GTA V - Putting you right into a bank heist, gotta love it. I also loved how good it looked with the snow, I wish more missions took place in snow covered levels. I wish GTA would have more snow in the world period. At least put it up in the mountains. I want more dynamic weather that includes snow in future GTAs please. 😄 Silent Hill 2 - It's an iconic start to one of the best horror games ever. Even though I never got too far, I still remember that start. Metal Gear Solid 3 - I don't remember much about the start, but I remember it starting out great. I think you get injured at the beginning and have to fix yourself up. I remember you eating a snake. I think that's how it started off. I haven't played MGS3 in probably 10 years, so it's tough remembering some bits. There's lots more, so as I think of them, I'll pop back in from time to time.
  5. Oh for sure, COD is a massive game, sometimes a bit too massive. I remember when it would sometimes eat up the whole damn HD to the point it would just be a COD game and nothing else. I still think though, that if there's too much data for a single disc, then give us a few more discs to complete it. I know it's not ideal as it costs money to produce a disc, but it would keep physical media alive. But I don't see that ever happening like how it did back in the early days of disc media, like when many of the Final Fantasy games came out with multiple discs. And I get that blu-rays don't hold it all, and I think with a game like COD it makes more sense. But even so, I think they could fit the campaign at the very least. Multiplayer won't last forever, but the campaign could at least be played. I'm sure they could fit that on a disc or two.
  6. Idk, I disagree. I think the Xbox could easily go back to any number they want. They haven't been consistent with their names anyway, so at this point I doubt it even matters. They could call it anything they want. I prefer the idea of just having it be called Xbox. And maybe add the date to it, so Xbox 2022 or something. I would love for that to happen, but I don't ever see Microsoft jumping in, at least not for a while yet. Would be cool to see happen though and I would consider buying one. Well maybe.
  7. The controller was never sold. It was given away to people in the UK for a KFC contest. I don't know who won, or how many were given away. I checked Ebay, but didn't notice anything for sale. I even checked the UK ebay and found nothing there. Maybe someone is selling a controller skin version of it, but from what I see, it's not available for sale. Maybe it will be in the future.
  8. Yeah I think it's mostly due to prolonged use. For me, I used to play a lot of Call of Duty on the 360, and due to that I think my constant playing eventually resulted in my controller having drift. Usually the left analog stick goes bad. It may be because the melee button is the push of the analog stick. But yeah, the more you use it, the more likely drift will occur.
  9. Sorry to disappoint, but it's kinda a broken mess on the Switch. But, if you're willing to overlook the problems, you might have some fun with it. For me, I think my eyes would start to bug out with how tough it looks to see in this version. I really think they should have postponed this, or even cancelled it. They shouldn't have tried to pack in the remastered version, they should have utilized the 360 version instead.
  10. There are so many sadly. I remember a while back when I worked for a site that was about video games, and we were searching for indie studios and other studios, and I remember encountering many studios that are closed or were aquired by another studio/company. A big name that comes to mind, is Acclaim. They were big in the 90s if I remember correctly. I know they made some stinkers, but I remember there was some good games by them as well. Midway is also closed, and they were a big dev for quite a while. They developed Mortal Kombat. I forgot that Neversoft closed down. I'm pretty sure they developed the Tony Hawk Games originally.
  11. If something is too good to be true, then it's probably too good to be true. I've played a couple apps that I would consider scams. There was one app where you'd play these games, get credits and then when you had enough you could take your pick of prizes. The prizes were literally stuff you could buy on Amazon for $2-$15 or so. The highest priced items are better, but are still cheap junk. I ended up getting a phone stand and a table lamp that I still use. I didn't pay anything, so just wasted my time pretty much. 😞 I haven't played any of the games that promise to pay you real cash, but I'm sure the majority of them are scammy and promote grinding more than anything. There was also one of those claw machine apps where you'd pay credits to try and get a prize. I wonder how many people win stuff on there.
  12. If you have an iPhone, you may want to check out Elgato's Screen Link app. I haven't used it, but it looks like you can connect that through OBS as well. And may give you a bit more options on production. Sadly I don't think it's available for Android, though I thought I read somewhere they did. Other than that, I think most screen mirror apps would work. I know of Miracast(Android) is what I used with my Windows PC. But that was to mirror my PC to my TV. But it should work with phones to PC as well.
  13. I did find it weird that Konami decided to skip SH1 and go for SH2 to make a remaster, but after hearing what others have said, it kinda makes sense to start with the biggest game of your series, and SH2 clearly was that game. It's talked about in discussions about classic horror games. As well, SH1 connects with SH3, so my guess now, is that they will focus on SH2, then make a SH1 & SH3 combo set. Since I imagine SH1 isn't that long, they could probably get away making it a two parter. This way we can get SH1 & 3 together to connect their stories better. If SH2 remake does really well, which I think it's going to end up selling like crazy, then they will for sure look into remaking SH1 and 3. And maybe even 4. But I am doubtful they will bother with 4. But you never know. What do you think? They could release SH1 & 3 separately, but I think it'd make more sense to include both, just for new fans to understand that these two games are connected.
  14. Anyone here played the new Gotham Knights? It came out last week and it hasn't been getting the greatest of reviews. I heard the big thing is that the combat is pretty mediocre. Not near what they offered with the Batman Arkham Series. I heard they removed the counter button. I don't know how the controls work, but it sounds like you just mash the same buttons over and over. But I could be wrong. Was watching a streamer explain his problems. I've been reading some of the other reviews, and even they are saying bad things about it. Also it's locked ar 30fps I heard. If you've played it, what are your thoughts on it so far?
  15. Any fans of the Dark Pictures Anthology? It's from the creates of Until Dawn, The Quarry and the other Dark Picture Anthology games; Man of Medan, Little Hope, and House of Ashes. This one looks pretty cool. It's like an escape room game. Also it was announced at Gamescom, but I don't remember seeing the trailer. Check it out below. It drops this November. 🙂
  16. I noticed with pro controllers or standard controllers as well, that drift still happens. At least with my Xbox 360, Xbox One controllers they always resulted in drift at some point. I think it's from prolonged use of course, but it is still annoying.
  17. Yeah I saw it was fromsoftware, so I get why it's so sought after. And yeah, I know Rule or Rose is a rare horror game that I think goes for high prices these days. Also maybe some of the fatal frame games.
  18. Is it coming out for PC? Or is it already out on PC? Either way I'll probably pick it up on gamepass whenever I renew it. Been meaning to renew it this week, but been lazy and want to make sure I don't waste any days like with my last gamepass subscription.
  19. I'll have to play it. My brother played it and mentioned it wasn't that good, but maybe it's time I checked it out myself. I hope the new Mafia game turns out to be good. I got the original Mafia on PC for free a while back, was going to replay it, but idk if I can get into the old controls lol.
  20. Finally getting back into RDR2 after a short break. I'm trying to complete all of the challenges right now, taking a while. I want to try and complete the gambling one, but I don't want to play poker. I think there's an outfit you can buy that lets you cheat at poker, so I'll have to figure out if that's true or not. I know in RDR1 there was a suit I think that helped you cheat at Poker. But yeah, getting back into that since I can actually sit at my computer again. 😄
  21. The thing with this game, is that it was just released randomly and out of the blue. They did so because of how bad the game turned out, as they didn't want as much publicity. But, idk why they didn't just re-release the 360 version, updated a bit of course. It probably would have worked. But yeah, a switch isn't going to replicate Alan Wake remastered all that well. This version even looks worse than the 360 version. And I agree, the Switch needs to catch up with current hardware, or at least close to it.
  22. Read here: https://mp1st.com/news/report-modern-warfare-2-ps5-disc-only-houses-70mb-of-data Of course they are doing this. The disc for MW2 on PS5 supposedly only comes with the license for the game. If you try to load the game without internet or I assume without the updates, it asks you to connect to psn and update. The first update is over 40GB or so. Not sure on the base game size though. But with COD and all the modes, it's probably well over 100GB. This worries me though, because we're already getting physical releases from Nintendo where they just toss in a code for the game in a plastic case. Now, it could just be the disc having the license. Which is nice and all, but how do those who don't have internet, or want to play multiplayer, get to enjoy game? Now games will just drop with the license on disc. That disc will probably become useless once the PS5 loses support, so that's another issue.

    Lego Games

I have mostly played the LEGO Batman games in the past. I maybe played one of the star wars LEGO games as well, but it was briefly. I think they're fun and competent games. I wouldn't go crazy over a new release or anything, but I may consider checking it out when it goes on sale. I'm sure I played some of the LEGO games from back in the 90s as well, but I forget most of them.
  24. Silent Hill 2 and the rest of the series would probably make the cut here. SH2 especially, because I'm more familiar with it. It was all about psychological horror, discovering why you're there, what happened to his wife, etc.
  25. I had no idea the Switch was getting a port of Alan Wake Remastered. I read a review on it though and the review claimed it looked pretty bad, of course with the Switches hardware that's kinda to be expected. The graphics are pretty bad according to some of the reviews I've checked out. They should've just used the 360 version. This one looks worse than the 360 version. Check out this review to get an idea.
