  1. What would you say are some of the scariest enemies, characters, npcs in video games? This can include bosses as well. For me, I'd have to say just about everything in the Silent Hill Series up to probably Silent Hill 4, and maybe P.T. Most other games I'd say are pretty tame with the characters and not many other games come close to the monsters in Silent Hill 2 for example. What are some of the scariest you remember?
  2. The Last Of Us Remake recently dropped and before it many people complained about the price point, myself included. But after watching the comparison video, it does look like a lot was changed. I still don't agree it's worthy of a $70 price tag, but it does look like a much better looking game, especially with the lighting. Even though I don't think it was something we needed. Do you still think it's worth the price?
  3. Well what a lucky guy. This person ordered a Series X and got an extra by mistake when it arrived. Honestly wish I was so lucky haha. I can't afford a series X though, so send it to me. 😄 But seriously, I wonder what this guy did with the console. I could see him selling one, or returning one for cash back. I would trade it in for a PS5 somehow. What would you do?
  4. Well that kinda sucks. The new 007 game and Project Dragon games that IO Interactive are making, won't be coming out for a while yet, at least not before March 2025. So it seems these games are quite a ways off yet. I'm more interested in the 007 game they're making, as it's from the team behind Hitman I believe. So kinda excited to see what they deliver. https://exputer.com/news/games/project-007-project-dragon-not-release/
  5. I can see some seeing pong as a boring game in some regards, but is it really the worst thing you've played? I understand why people wouldn't like it, but I figure even the Atari version of pong plays fine enough. I imagine it'd be a lot better on an arcade machine though.
  6. Do you agree with this list? - https://culturedvultures.com/best-psp-games/ I never had the chance to own a PSP, nore have I ever played a PSP game. I've always wanted to, but always felt like it was unattainable for me. And now days the prices for PSP consoles has been going up, so I may be unlucky still to not be able to get one. Anyway, what do you think about the games on this list? Do you agree? Disagree? Are there any games you would replace?
  7. It's probably just a case of an arcade game moving to consoles being a bad idea. If they don't change anything, then of course it's going to be short. Arcade games to my knowledge are usually made tough so you have to keep spending quarters. So my guess is that the game is a lot shorter than a traditional game, because it wasn't meant to be played on console where you can constantly re-play it. Is it a port of an actual arcade game? Because if so, it would make sense as to why it's shorter.
  8. Source - https://mp1st.com/news/sony-interactive-entertainment-acquires-14-of-elden-ring-developer-fromsoftware Well that's not that big of an amount. Sony has acquired 14% of FromSoftware. Not sure what that means. I don't think it would result in exclusivity or anything. To me, it looks more like an investment into them. Supposedly they also had a stake in their company before this, which was originally just 1.9% or so. I wonder if this will result in them outright buying them. 14% may not seem like a lot, but it could turn to 20%, then %50 and so on. I think it makes sense for Sony to buy them up though. I can see them trying to buy up more stake like this though.
  9. It's essentially another type of operating system, similar to Windows and Mac. The key difference being that it's usually open source and free. That's why there are so many different distros of Linux operating systems out there, because of its open source licensing, where anyone can edit/alter the code and make their own. Ubuntu is a distro of Linux I'm familiar with. Ubuntu is one of the most user friendly Linux distros you can go for. There's also Kubuntu, which is a smaller version of Ubuntu that you can install on older machines. And I think they even go smaller with Xubuntu. Linux is great for bringing new life to older PCs. There are also Linux distros that are only text based, kinda like how earlier PCs were and some of what DOS was like. I don't know much about the Unix side of it, just Linux and a few distros. But I have used stuff like Pupply Linux on a really old PC to get some life out of it. It's kinda fun to install linux distros on old PCs. I currently have a tablet/laptop combo that a friend of mine gave to me. He installed Ubuntu on it.
  10. It could also be a good thing for blind gamers as well. Imagine people playing with their voices. Of course they would probably play games that mostly feature sound, but I could see blind people able to play some games.
  11. I currently got Xbox game pass ultimate. I usually get it from Microsoft rewards every month or so. That's why I like ms rewards, because you can get some good stuff from searching and all that. I try not to pay for it, just use reward points if I can.
  12. I read more into what they are offering with these voice options and honestly I think it's really cool. Not only will it help with accessibility for some, it could be a useful tool to interact with your game even better. Talking to NPCs and stuff, doing certain commands and so on. It sounds a lot more advanced than what I first thought.
  13. Ooh, I don't know. Lets wait and see if Embracer does these games justice first. If anything Konami should be making more games in these series. Or outright rebooting them all again and starting from a new storyline. Then again, maybe it's a good idea to ship these IPs off to a studio that may be interested in making these games a reality again. And sooner rather than later.
  14. It's weird, because I didn't know they were this huge, to be able to afford these studios. But they must see something in the developers they're bringing over. Maybe we're going to see some really great games from this. We can only hope. 🙂
  15. For me it's just the jump scares side of it. I hate when games and movies do it. I like that it does kinda do jump scare good though. It's not just right in your face, it's too the side most of the time. I might play it one of these days with friends, but I don't think I'd be able to play it alone. lol
  16. Wait a second, I just realized something. This isn't EA Sports PGA Golf game. I didn't know that 2K was making golf games, now I'm kinda curious. How the hell did I miss this? This is the third 2K PGA Tour game right? I think they took the license during 2K21. Oh wait, EA is still doing their own PGA Tour game.
  17. Congrats on development of your first game, that's really cool! I checked out the trailer and I'm liking where it's going. How much work do you have left to do on it? Only thing I'm not into is NFTs, are they like real nfts you can buy/sell kinda thing? Apologies I don't know a whole lot about nfts, just that I'm not sure about them. The same with cryptocurrency and blockchain stuff. I've heard a lot of bad things about it to where i'm a little suspicious of them. I wish you luck, you have something cool here. 🙂
  18. They also are just doing mobile games, as in Netflix is, so they're far from what Amazon has going on with their game studio. Amazon also can afford to take the chance on gaming, as they aren't in debt like Netflix is. As well, it gets you Luna at no additional cost it seems. Prime is looking like the better option for what it offers. I'm surprised it hasn't gone up in price. Better knock on wood to make sure that doesn't happen.
  19. Are you sure? It seems to still be going on. I don't think Sony will lose, but it'll probably run its course before they settle out of court or the other side decides to concede or something.
  20. Oh wow, I grew up in the wrong generation I guess. Schools teaching kids to game, damn. I was this close, like 10-20 years off from making it into something like this lol. But yeah, this is our future. More people will be making games and software, so I can see more schools around the country/world trying to implement their own schooling for video games.
  21. I don't know if Marvel's Avengers deserves to be on this list. I mean, yeah it's not a good game, but from what I heard, it's a pretty competent game, just pulled down because of microtransactions and having to do the same stuff over and over. I think if it had more time in development, and they actually supported the game proper, I think it would have been much better. But I don't think it's nearly as bad as Superman 64, Aquaman, and Shaq Fu. Mainly because those games were broken messes that controlled like hot garbage. Idk, I shouldn't judge, because it is a bad game, just saying there's a lot more worse out there.
  22. I haven't played a supercross game in years, or last one was probably from the early Xbox one era to late 360 era. I forget though, as I feel this series has been around forever now. Is this one any good? I haven't kept up with the games in quite a long time.
  23. For exclusives like Call of Duty and maybe Elder Scrolls/Fallout, but I don't see every IP going that route. Xbox will make a lot of their new acquisitions into exclusives, at least the ones they probably don't see making them a ton of cash. So instead those games would be fine as exclusives. But a game like COD, to be on just one console, would be dumb. Microsoft will make a ton of money keeping those franchises open to other platforms. But, there's always that chance that Microsoft and company could change their mind and keep all of these franchises on the green brand.
  24. I think it was more than the poor reviews. It was probably due to them not making a ton of money off if it. I don't know the sales totals, but I can't imagine it sold like God of War or Uncharted levels. But it still sold fairly good from what I remember, just not enough to warrant a sequel I guess. Maybe they realized a sequel wouldn't live up to the first one.
  25. I've only played the first one and maybe the second or third, the rest I haven't had any time with, though I expect they're fairly decent 3d platformers. I know Spyro was around in the PS2 and I think PS3 era as well, but I haven't really touched any of the newer games. Are they even worth checking out? Or should I stick to the original games?
