Yeah Christophe Gans is rebooting it from what I hear. To my knowledge, the second film isn't going to be cannon with the new movie, I don't even know if the first movie will be cannon either. It might just be a full on reboot. My guess it'll be called Silent Hill and delve more into the first games story instead.

Netflix should really start to release bigger/triple A games
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Looks like Netflix are starting their own gaming studio in Helsinki Finland, building it from scratch. They hired a dude named Marko Lastikka as their studio director, who previously worked for Zynga. I believe this studio will focus more on bigger titles. No idea what will result from this, but hopefully they produce some quality games. Source of news - https://about.netflix.com/en/news/building-our-internal-games-studios -
I played Two Point Hospital and felt the same way. Eventually it just became too tedious to play so I stopped. And at one point I felt like what I was doing wasn't enough, yet I was doing everything right.

I wonder if he told Microsoft about the mistake, and if they let him keep it or requested it be returned. But if he didn't tell them, he got a free xbox series X lol. I bet he kept it, because he marked out his order # and tracking. So if MS did see it, they couldn't find out who he was. Yeah that's probably what I would do too, keep it to have in another room. Or trade it in for a PS5 or something so I have both consoles.

Coincidences between your real life and videogames
Kane99 replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
Not really. I mean some games have made me think of real life experiences and some have reminded me of my home and where I live. Like RDR2 for example. Riding around at times, I wonder what the life was like for people that live in my hometown. Like, is this what they saw when they would ride their horses back in the day. Idk. I can't say for certain if there was anything else, but maybe something else will come to mind. -
I wouldn't have the patience to build something that big, and make it as close to the game as possible. I can build a lot in Minecraft, but not anything that big and cool.
-
I really hope it turns into something where anyone can make their our tournament. Maybe even where you could give away prizes to winners. That would be pretty cool.

Yeah I really need to do 2fa for most of my accounts. But I hate being tied down to an authenticator app to sign into most accounts. But to be safe it's probably highly recommend. Especially these days.

I use both. These days I probably use my PC more for movies and TV than my actual TV. Main reason why is because I'm on it more often for work and hanging out. I watch movies almost every night with my friends, otherwise I'm gaming.

First PC I remember owning was a commodore 64. My parents got it used from a yard sale many years ago. The first ever PC I got was back in early 2001 I think. Just a standard windows 95 PC, yes 95. Even though 98 was out forever by that point. We got it from a magazine or something like Fingerhut.

There are companies that want to make it possible to buy, sell, trade digital games and digital items, even ones that have already been redeemed. There was a service called equiti games that was supposed to come out and do exactly that. It would let you sell the license for the digital game, so even if you redeem the code, play the game etc, you can resell it later. And some studios looked to be involved. I think Tiny Build was interested in it. It would also give a cut per sale to the devs and publishers. If they make it possible to sell and trade off your digital games and items, that would be awesome.

I can't say I ever heard of KaiOS. I did a search though and it looks to be a Linux distro for mobile phones. Likely budget phones, and older phones. I see on their site they show off a lot of old style cell phones, like flip phones. But more of the recent ones that came out with smart phone features. Here is a list of their available phones: https://www.kaiostech.com/explore/devices/

Oh for sure, there are a great deal of good mobile games out there. The big problem is, that it gets covered up by the amount of crap games and shovelware that gets released. It's partly why I don't bother much with mobile apps anymore, because you often end up with junk games for the most part.

I forgot to mention, but this also kinda reminds me of the game Agony, that came out a few years ago. I remember seeing a friend playing Agony, and that from what I recall, had a very similar style and atmosphere, also tons of gore. There is also an adult game called Lust for Darkness, but I believe it also has sexual content, so idk if that's something you'd want to combine.

I may have to do that for some games, especially something like Dark Souls, as I can never get good at it haha. I've played a fair deal of the beginning, but once I got to one of the first "real" bosses, I kinda gave up. But, if I knew how to build the best character for the job, I may give the game and series another go. 😄

You could hide small things in a cart fairly easily. The issue was finding a torx screwdriver and opening them up. Thankfully there's no issue when opening one up, as there's nothing really holding them together aside from the screw/screws. Otherwise, there's a decent amount of space to store small amount of cash, a note or two etc. Don't hide anything too expensive though, would hate to end up losing the cart and whatever you stored in it.

Game plots with bad stories but great climaxes?
Kane99 replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
I think it may be due to it being the shortest game in the series. Plus I don't remember, but didn't it have less collectibles you had to worry about? I know City and Knight had you collect a shit ton of stuff, so that makes it longer. Origins had the riddler trophies too, but I don't think there was nearly as much in City and Knight. To me it just looks like much of the same, which is good and bad imo. Good in that it'll probably be easy to pick up and play whenever you want. Or bad in that it could not have changed enough to be worth playing. That's one thing I worry about the most. Because the Arkham series didn't change a whole lot in terms of gameplay, so if it's much of the same, it will be easy to get into, but may get boring quick. I'm looking forward to the Suicide Squad game, because it looks so much different from the Arkham series. And looks like a ton of fun too. -
They haven't been able to get a foothold in any foreign markets, especially Japan. They've tried to sell in Japan and other foreign countries, but the foreign markets don't seem to care for Microsoft consoles, or any American made consoles it seems. Sales may have went up, but they are probably nowhere near what Sony and Nintendo do over there.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is coming out in October, really looking forward to continuing this story. I really enjoyed the first game. But I hope the added control options helps spice up the gameplay a bit.

I think the only way is to reform Team Silent and have them make Silent Hill again. They made the best SH games out of all of them SH 1-4. So just having Konami and some random development team make a new Silent Hill wouldn't be to my liking, at least. I know fans would want a good development team working on a new Silent Hill. I would like to see Kojima and team do a new Silent Hill, but that will never happen under Konami. Leaks need to be taken with a grain of salt. We need to stop automatically believing they are 100% true. Half the time you're probably going to get lies or fake news. Sometimes they're true, like with the recent GTA 6 leak, but most leaks are often hoaxes or fake or nothing of importance.

I'm surprised there is no topic/discussion about the game Scorn as it's coming out this October 21st. I'm not really one for these types of games, but I am aware there are people really interested in checking it out, as it is heavily inspired by H. R. Giger, who had his own special art style, and helps create the xenomorph in Alien. Plus I believe he was involved with the design of the Alien's world.

Check out the environment trailer for The Valiant, an new RTS (real time strategy) game by THQ Nordic. It is a squad based RTS that is set in 13th Century Europe and the Middle East. It's dropping October 19th of this year. Does this game look interesting to you? I'm not too into RTS games, but I don't mind them either.

Has anyone tried out the PlayStation Tournaments Beta for PS5 yet? I hear it dropped today. From the looks of things, it sounds like you can join tournaments that are added to their database. I don't see a mention about starting your own tourney, but I think if they include such an option, it would draw a lot more people in. So far I think it's Sony hosting the tourneys. But if we had the option to create our own, that would rock. More on this here - https://compete.playstation.com/en-us/all/articles/222743

Looks like the FBI are on the case and are looking into the hacker. I guess this guy also hacked Uber recently. Makes you wonder if he has any other hacks planned. They are saying the hacker could be part of a group that also hacked Samsung, Microsoft and others. Updated news here - https://www.ign.com/articles/fbi-investigating-alleged-rockstar-hacker?

Well damn, more hacks incoming, this time it looks like 2K's support was hacked. They are suggesting that anyone who had a password stored via chrome or autofill, to change the password and to use 2 factor authentication. I suppose I will have to change my password now, even though I haven't touched my 2K account in a long time. Makes me wonder if this is an extension of Take Two's other hack that resulted in GTA VI to leak a ton of content. 2K Support released a message that you can read below.
