  1. On top of this all, it looks like no one is really playing the current games Netflix does have. Wired has an article that came out last week, that mentions that most people don't even know Netflix has games. It is said that 99% of subscribers might not even know about their games. Which says one thing, it's not good. If they were to jump into the triple A market, I don't think they would be able to succeed. You can read about that bit of news here - https://www.wired.com/story/netflix-mobile-games-no-one-playing/
  2. Has anyone here signed up to the playtest they have going on for Skate? I'm tempted to check it out, but I think they require that you test a bunch of things in game in order to stay in the playtest. You can sign up to the playtest below. If anyone has signed up, is it worth it? https://www.ea.com/games/skate/insider-playtest-registration
  3. I have done so in the past. I usually use manual saves before I do something serious in game. Like in RDR2, there is a moment in the game where you can kill a "vampire", and killing him gets you a knife. I decided to save it, because instead of killing him, I was going to capture him and bring him to sheriff. But noticed when I hogtied him, he didn't drop the knife, so I had to reload. Of course, it's like a security blanket just in case the auto save features saves in a horrible section. Thankfully with games like RDR2, the autosave feature is pretty good. I haven't had any issues with corrupt files or saving in a bad spot.
  4. He's come a long way indeed. I could never get into his content when he started out, but these days I at least find his content bearable haha. He doesn't get obnoxiously loud anymore, at least from what I've seen lately. I still don't tune into his content, as it's just not for me, but I respect him a hell of a lot more since he calmed things down a bit in his content.

Honestly would be down to see this game getting some online options. Would really help the games replayability I think. Sadly I don't think they will ever do that, or if they did, it may be in a sequel instead. I would welcome DLC coming out, but I have a feeling they won't do that. But, I could be wrong.
  6. I can't stand YouTubers or streamers that do that. It's why I never cared for pewdiepie and other content creators like him. My nephew was watching a YouTuber recently who was obnoxiously loud, and I don't get how anyone can get into that. The dude wasn't even funny in any way. When it comes to YouTube, they don't always notify you of new videos. I just check out the recently uploaded list though, so I usually catch everything I'm subscribed to. But there are times where I do miss content on YouTube at least.
  7. For me it did, because here's this kid who had someone there protecting them, and all of a sudden, you lose that, so it shifts to you controlling that child. So in a way that tone shift results in you having to take control of a character that is scared and sad. Sometimes sure. With the Walking Dead, it was always dreadful and ominous. But as you play the game, you end up liking most of the characters, and then to lose some of them just sucks. But near the end, when you lose someone more important, it weighs on you more. And then to have to control a kid for the rest of the series, makes you feel more vulnerable in a way.
  8. Of course. I'm kinda introverted when it comes to most things. I'm more shy than anything, but I found that with my online work, I've become more comfortable talking with people online. I am always in a Discord party for work related things. One of my co-workers is always in there, so we hang out and chat while we work. And we also game at night and sometimes watch movies. It helps a lot to socialize with people in that way. But yeah, it's easier said than done. Most of the time I hate online lobbies, so I don't speak often. But when I'm forced to, that's when I realize it helps me more. Kinda like how they do exposure therapy, where you do the things you're scared of. Well playing on public lobbies with a mic while you have social anxiety, would kinda count in that regard.
  9. Also with boss battles, I feel as if they really need to push the envelope, as in they need to make the boss fight memorable. Especially if it's the final boss, you want that fight to be memorable right? I feel like a lot of games don't make the final boss, or most bosses memorable enough. Usually they're the typical three stages and you're done. I feel like boss fights these days are kinda lazy compared to the past.
  10. With a remaster, it's essentially just the same game with updated visuals and graphics. But a remake is essentially a game usually built from the ground up, with changed animations, voice acting, and even changes to the story and key gameplay moments. A remaster would be something like Sleeping Dogs remastered. It's just a fancier port with updated visuals, but the main aspect of the game stays the same. A remake, would be something like what they did with RE 1, 2, and I think 3. Those are remakes, because if they were to just remaster those games, they would look a lot closer to their original release, and also likely play that way too.
  11. They'd lose another half of users if they made it exclusive to the Xbox. Also on top of that, there are less players on the Xbox side, so that's another problem. Oh for sure. They'd be crazy to make it exclusive. Only reason they would make it exclusive, is to try and sell more consoles, which I think would result in that happening. But I don't think they need to sell a ton more consoles. They're doing just fine with their current sales, so I don't think they need to make it exclusive.
  12. Exactly. I've heard stories about how people enjoyed VR, but eventually got bored or gave up with it because it gave them headaches or eye strain. I know some people who get really immersed in the VR games they play, while others enjoy it, but wouldn't say it's immersive enough. One thing that comes to mind with VR, is mobility. You can move around some, but there's limited space with VR, if you live in a small place, you won't be able to take full advantage of VR and I think that could potentially ruin immersion to some extent.
  13. The newer 360s had a much better design imo. The original Xbox 360 design wasn't really my thing. On top of that, it was a hefty console at the time of release. The PS3 though was also a hefty boy too. I didn't like the Spider-man font they used with the original PS3 releases. I did like the newer PS3 logo when the newer PS3 came out.
  14. Depends on the puzzle and how hard it is. For me I like to try to complete a puzzle before I give up and look for a walkthrough. But there are games where I can't figure it out, and then find out it's the simplest thing ever to complete it. I wouldn't say I cheat, I do look up guides online if needed. Whether you believe that to be cheating or not, I don't care. I will use guides if needed. I don't want to get stuck on a part that could take me seconds to figure out with a quick guide.
  15. Yeah it's not as easy to buy up a company, as it requires a lot of red tape to go through before you can truly get it. I don't even think the Bethesda/Activision deals are officially done yet, as there's a ton of money there and I'm sure contracts they need to figure out and sort. It kinda reminds me about how Elon Musk was wanting to buy Twitter, and rumors was that he bought it, but he would have had to go through months of stuff just to get the deal done, and low and behold, the deal was stopped and both parties moved on. There's still a chance that things could change and Bethesda and Activision aren't sold off to Microsoft. Unless they already got through all the red tape.
  16. I honestly don't know how much I spend on games. As of late it's very minimal as I usually just get Xbox Gamepass ultimate, which is $15 a month. But I also get it free sometimes because of MS Rewards. I'm nearly another month on MS rewards, so I'll be redeeming a month of gamepass soon here. Other than that, I don't spend much on gaming unless there's a game I really want to play and it's not available on gamepass. I also find that I'm not that invested in games anymore, like in the sense that I don't need to purchase all the games I want, because I'm patient enough to wait for sales or for them to come out on gamepass for example.
  17. I'd say most single player games are good to play alone, with even some online games. I've played my fair share of online games alone, and on purpose. I don't like to play a lot of online games with people aside from the ones I already have friends playing. If none of my friends are playing, I usually don't, but I will sometimes play depending on the game and whether I like it. For a single player game, you can't go wrong with the likes of GTA V, RDR2, Alan Wake, etc. As for online, COD is good if you have a group of friends also playing. Fortnite is a good one too, especially if you can get your friends to play along. I don't like playing with randoms though.
  18. Not a bad amount of games to look forward to, but I feel like that's not nearly as much as we should be hearing about. And for sure, there's a lot of games that have yet to be announced. I'm all for more games coming out though, because the more games the better imo.
  19. Most actors in hollywood probably could easily lend their voices to video games. I mean, if they are already providing voices for animated features and other forms of media, what says they can't do voice over work in gaming? Many people made the jump to gaming like Willem Dafoe, Elliot Page, Norman Reedus, Mads Mikelson, and many more. Voice acting I imagine is an easy thing for most actors to get into. I'm sure many could do voice acting. I know some do so for the WWE games, so a lot of them are already doing it.
  20. As long as I'm not doing countless fetch quests or quests that require you to go from point A to point B to collect something. Give me missions where I can fight people, and have a challenge instead of walking there and back. Also the side quests should add to the story, or be side plots that also tie in to the main story. I know some games do side quests differently from the story sometimes, but I want the side quests to make sense with the story, maybe even give you more details about the story in the process.
  21. I saw the trailer the other day and I gotta say it looks good. The graphics look top notch, with the voice acting really shining I think. I never played any of the original games, but I have seen some lets plays of the older games, especially the one that dropped on the 360 years ago. Sadly I suck when it comes to horror games. I don't know what it is, because I don't scare easily. I don't think it's about the scare factor, but more to do with how these games control. I remember not getting into Evil Within because it felt too slow in terms of how your character moves. And I have a feeling this game may be slow with the character movements and all that.
  22. Mario is probably my favorite mascot. I don't think I have one I dislike to be honest. I never looked at a mascot in gaming and though they were awful. I mean, maybe Glover, as the whole idea around him was dumb, but I don't know if he even qualifies as a mascot to be honest.
  23. Depends on the game and how old the kid is. Personally I was gaming as young as 3 years old myself. My nephew for example was playing around that age, but more closely to age 5 or so. Once he knew the point of a video game, he was playing without problem. I never let my nephew play games online, as I know he wouldn't have been able to handle it. So I just let him play stuff from gamepass. He's 12 now anyway, so he's capable of gaming on his own. But I'd say 5-6 is a good age to get started on gaming. But I know some kids start earlier with their parents letting them play mobile games for example.
  24. Still mostly playing RDR2 as of late, haven't had the urge to play anything else honestly. I'm done with power wash sim and I don't have gamepass at the moment, so I can't play it anyway lol. But I haven't been in the mood to play most other games as of late.
  25. I'm considering sharing my steam library with my nephew, since he now has a gaming PC he plays on often. I think he would get a kick out of me sharing all of my games, since I know he wants to play a lot of the games I own. I'm not sure if it's true, but I believe only one person can play the game at a time. So if you share a certain game with someone for example, if they're playing it, you're not going to be able to. But I could be wrong. It could be the other way where you can't use steam, but I think that would be dumb. I think it's just the game itself that can't be played by more than one person.
