I think Tomb Raider would lend itself much better for a TV series than a movie. Weekly adventures to various exotic locations and tombs, lots of intrigue and conspiracies. Tomb Raider would work well as a fiction where all secret and legendary organizations are real. Templars, Illuminati, new world order, etc.

This seems like a strange question at first, but is it really? What are the most important reasons you keep playing games, what is it you get out of it? Is it just a way to pass time? Does it give you an emotional high? Or do you get to experience things you can't otherwise? Does it give you a different perspective? Is it something that helps you unwind, or take your mind off of your issues? For me firstly it's about the ability to roleplay as and meet, or even befriend larger than life and extraordinary characters. This is why multiplayer gaming has little to no appeal to me, there are no characters to talk of, and there is no story to be told. Without a story there is no character development. And without character development there is no way to relate to the characters. The other reason is the emotional high you get through achieving things in games. Things like finishing a mission, or successfully defeating an enemy, or even just leveling up all give a sense of achievement. Especially when there is a strategy to it. Sometimes it's not even just about beating the game, but chasing the perfect game, like no hit runs, or beating the game on extreme difficulty.

To be clear I'm not saying that everything is fine as is. But updates are not evil, despite the best effort some bug can be missed, or QOL features need to be added, etc. As with everything technology is not evil, it's how we use it that's the problem. Knowingly shipping broken software to be fixed later in updates is evil.Or more like greedy, but same difference.

I think if we are on an island we have bigger things to worry about than not being able to play games. No updates on the PS3? I literally hated the PS3, because every time I turned it on it would first update the system, then want to update the game I was about to play. By the time it was ready I lost interest in playing usually.

I meant that I like playing dressup in games, as in playing with the character creator for hours. Not that I play with dolls in real life. LOL And this actually ties in with my desire to have attractive characters in games. I play with the character creator for an hour to get the best looking character I can. Because it enhanches the whole game. So the 30-60 minutes I spend creating a character makes the rest of the game better. As for the comparison, I cannot believe you never encountered it. I must have first seen it on another long defunct forum in the 2000s. And it would crop up in various gaming communities whenever I or others complained about the lacking nature of the character creators in some games. In various forms such as "Who cares about the character creator, play with dolls if you want to play dress up" and several other variations of it. But I take that as hypocrisy as well. I fully believe now that whoever gets angry at others wanting more detailed character creators are insecure about their own desires to do similar stuff. Because if you are just not interested in a character creator, you can simply ignore it, you loose nothing. But being actively against having it? That's strange, and the only explanation I can think of is this.

I stated two things: 1. I prefer attractive or traditionally beautiful characters over plain ones all else being equal 2. That I'm uncomfortable playing games with my character in undies. The only one seeing a conflict between the two is you. So I don't know what twisted logic are you using when you are trying to say that it's me who thinks nude = more attractive. I caught you out for what I've been saying all the time. I didn't say it's a bad thing, just something I might be overly conscious about. It doesn't help when lots of people tell you "so you like playing barbie dressup?" Yeah, I actually do, but I wouldn't have admitted to that when I was a teen.

Yes, I'd definitely be uncomfortable playing the game in that "outfit" And before Shagger comes and misconstrues or deliberately misrepresents this too, I'd equally be uncomfortable playing a male character in underwear.

I usually hate games that I'm bad at. Maybe The Last of Us is the exception, but even there I hated playing it but the story kept me going against my better judgement.

Having any exceptation would be setting myself up for disappointment. There was a fan made fallout series a few years ago, and while it captured the look and tone well, it was very boring.

I don't have any particular favorites. it's just interesting to look at the difference or similarities between concept and end product.

My perception of games doesn't change based on how long I've played them. It's either good enough to start playing it or it isn't. Games that I played 20 years ago are different because I was already sold on them back then. I'd never be able to play games made in 1990s that I didn't originally played when they came out. Same way as retro inspired games have zero appeal to me. If you are going to make a game in 2020 then the graphics shouldn't look like something from 1990.

I'm sorry, but I automatically humanize characters and I feel uncomfortable fiddling with their body parts. It just feels wrong. I'm not saying there should be an alternative, fully nude would be even worse for me. And if in full armor you can't see the changes you make.

Yeah it is a bit annoying especially if the treshold for hold is very short and you accidentally hold instead of press. For example I've been just playing the Ascent and when you pick up items in it if you hold the button the item is automatically equipped. But ofc I didn't know this and was going crazy why does my character auto eqip every item I pick up, when it wasn't before.

You mean the actual disc case? I didn't even know some people throw it away. As for games that come in special boxes / cases, those are collectible who in their right mind would throw them out? But I'm ocd about keeping the original packaging of everything. I always think that when I eventually going to sell it it will be easier if I have the original packaging, but ofc that is never the case. It just comes down to whether someone wants it or not.

Mass Effect Andromeda did it right. It doesn't end abruptly after the final conflict you get to experience an epilogue as a player.

I did see BSG but I never saw any parallels between it and Mass Effect. Oh, there is one parallel though. The ending of both were pretty bad.

I don't think anybody wants complete control over the story when they talk about choices having meaning.. We understand that is impossible. What I find a problem with is if our choices don't mean anything, regardless of what you choose the same thing happens 5 minutes later. Choices don't have to be groundbreaking even small choices like how you complete a mission can give a great sense of achievement to the player. Especially if it gets referenced later in the game or a sequel even.

I'm so chalk full of marvel that I get nauseous even talking about it. And to know that I probably won't get XCOM3 because of this? That makes this repulsive to me regardless of the game's actual quality.

This could almost be a list of things that annoys me when other people do it. Hence why I don't play multiplayer. If I see anyone bunnyhopping I want to murder them immediately.

I did not forget it, it's too cartoony to be considered violent for me.
