What was the biggest mistake in history?
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I think the overuse of antibiotics is a very huge mistake because we are creating super resistant microorganisms that could wipe us out. Not only humans have risk of getting wiped out, but the fungicides on foods used by Monsanto and controlling the seed stock and genetically modifying everything is also a disaster waiting to happen as any disease can wipe out whole entire crops as plants don't develop genetic variation or even produce fertile seeds. You know those seedless fruits? Yep, have fun trying to start the world over with no fertile seeds. Even ones that still produce fertile seeds are still genetically modified and vulnerable to disease and those seeds get carried by the wind and contaminate other organic crops. It's mass starvation waiting to happen or incurable disease from resistant microorganisms. -
That is true that there will always be malicious intent. But I think if everyone of all ages spent just an hour playing a game in the evening, I think it would open themselves up to a more playful behavior. That is one hour less of malicious plotting and angry news or social media. Those wondering minds that may be the next mass shooter or hate crime promoter may forget about things in their hour of play. Gaming can take their minds off things. Just that one hour I believe can make a huge difference in people's lives. Even parents and grandparents are grumpy and just mean all the time cause they forgot how to have fun. Go outside and have fun too. Too many people don't even do that. But when you want easy access to fun, then gaming is right there. Co workers can then talk about a cool game, instead of workplace gossip, or how shitty things are at home. I've heard the talk so many times. Just play a game you maggots! lol. It would make the world a happy place to see grandpa beating up grandma in a fighting game. There is a standard to be an adult in society. And that standard is to complain about all the responsibilities and about how much more you gotta do and money you gotta spend than the next person. Shut the fuck up and play...

It looks pretty good. I hope the action sequences last as long as you want to and just let your adrenaline flow and enjoy the mayhem. I don't like it when the battle ends too soon and all I did was look around and shoot at who knows what because I was trying to get battlefield awareness; then a soldier waves you along to a checkpoint and your'e like 'what just happened?'

That's funny cause remember that trump wanted to meet with taliban on the Sept. 11 anniversary in 2019 on U.S. soil but canceled at last minute. And don't get me started with republicans and putin and their rogue partnership in corruption. GOP and putin are allies. And that is no lie or exaggeration. Too many of them have a russian trail and they always defend each other.

If you can get a gun, now you can conceal it or holster it anywhere in Texas without any permit. That's the state where I live and I see no reasoning behind it. Businesses can put signs up to not allow any weapons in their business and I think that is what they should do. Because who wants to go get food and have some pig eye ball you and finger their weapon in intimidation while you go about your business? They aren't cops. How do you think people will react if a black man was walking around with a holstered weapon with a bunch of red necks around with holstered weapons? I easily more police harassment of minorities if they open carry. Is this an intimidation law? Well, I'll exercise my right. I can't help but feel like I can be an asshole now to anybody. It's scary to think about when I drank everyday and any little thing set me off. I can't imagine being able to open carry hand guns at that time in my drunken state. How many are out there with a gun who is intoxicated and emboldened to intimidate??? What do you think about this new law?

What would you NOT do for 5 million dollars?

1) I don't think I'd be able to eat cockroaches 2) go against democracy 3) support Monsanto 4) work in slaughterhouse I can list more too and agree with those already mentioned -
We don't need to feed their paranoia. They already think vaccines will magnetize them and it's a democratic ploy to to turn them into AI or whatever the hell those quacks think. What we need is a campaign to promote mental health awareness. There are jobs that require mental health evaluation and I think it's time politicians get checked up. Sad thing is, republicans will use that tool and exploit it to pay off or threaten doctors to make every democrat fail it. But in a wholesome world, politicians need psyche evaluations. This nonsense of the wackier you are, run for congress, is the republican motto that needs to be put to an end. Politicians need a requirement to have experience in politics, or maybe even a political degree. Like I said; current republicans just want the wackiest to run for office no matter who. For christ's sake, a capital insurrectionist wants to run for congress now.

Bare knuckle would be the first stage of the fight. Cause it would be boring watching a bare knuckle fight all the time since I guarantee 99% of the time it will end up in a wrestling match and head locks. The first round is fist fight. Then the next rounds, they use better and better weapons like whips and chains. And like they used in the movie Blood Sport- dip your gloves in shattered glass and tar to use for punching. The audience gets to throw flash bombs at them when they want. Then when they are ready for the finisher, they bring in the heavy blades.

There would be hell of a lot more carelessness in the food we produce and package. Less care about environmental pollutants, things in our food supply, water, and air. Talent and skill will be way too competitive. Competition is good, but people will take on multiple trades and skills, so the job market will get overburdened. The young people won't be able to work except cleaning toilets because how can they compete with someone 300-400 years old? There might be a boost in the athletic department because living longer doesn't mean you will always be athletically strong. So the first 100 years people won't have a choice but sports to make a living. Bad feuds will never go away. Mad scientists will be madder. Increased suicide rate. You can build your own personal army with all the family members you accumulate. It would be a maddening place with no real peace. Even nuns and monks will sow their seeds eventually. You can't die a 500 year old virgin. Even peak enlightenment will give way to insanity.

Marjorie Taylor Greene-republican in senate has already been kicked out of committees, AOC has been thinking about getting a restraining order on her, and Greene says wearing face masks is like the Holocaust. She then goes to a Holocaust museum to learn about it and apologies. A person charged in the Jan 6 insurrection is using a defense showing that they have watched the movie Schindler's List to learn about the Holocaust and submitted a movie and book reviews. LOL Say what????????? Republicans are now trying to learn about the Holocaust? One of the capital police who was attacked on Jan 6 insurrection went to the capital recently and republican congressman refused to shake his hand. Republicans also voted against the capital police receiving the Congressional Gold Medal for defending the capital. Osama Bin Laden's niece waves a Trump Won flag---republicans also do that at baseball games. Yep, the terrorists support republicans. Big surprise William Braddock, republican candidate in Florida, says in a secret recording caught on tape and sent to police, that he blatantly threatened his opponent saying he will send Russian/Ukraine hit squad against his opponent. Pretty scary recording and a threat to be taken very seriously. Fox News now spreads conspiracy that the FBI orchestrated the Jan 6 insurrection. Trump pressured the Department of Justice to overturn the election when he was still in office. The DOJ also spied on democratic congressmen and reporters. It is now being investigated. More abuse of power coming to light. The cookoo republican report... More to come soon

What was the biggest mistake in history?

There are places in the world where social media has helped put the spotlight on humanitarian issues. And especially in times of immediate crisis when you have to communicate fast with pics and videos before government shuts it all down. We need social media, but everything used for good is also used for bad. It can save lives, but can also be the medium to start civil unrest. There is a reason why rogue governments always attack social media when they are out to suppress people. We have already been getting a taste of that in the free world. It is scary to think that the only thing stopping major social media platforms from becoming a regime tool is in the hands of only a few individuals that can change whatever rules at any time. But that will inevitably cause people to drop its use and cause them to tank. But humanity will not survive without social media. We will be completely blind to what goes on in the world. -
What’s your favorite international food?

You started it, now there’s no going back. Shish Kebab-grilled steak, big grilled tomato chunks, onion, peppers, pineapple, and mushrooms. You got food to go and a weapon. -

If we're going all out like that, I'd have to say taco salad. I want it all in there. Crispy shell, beans, beef, lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream, cheese. I won't play around. I will bite a hand off if it gets in the way. My eyes will roll into the back of my head. They will call me Scarf-face. -

Oh wow, a sequel to A Plague Tale is unexpected. -
I'm still waiting to play my game on the ps4. And I'd rather not waste the effort playing it yet if it isn't solid on the console. It's good news they are confident enough to be put back in the store, but you're right about the disaster and then promoting the game when the console version isn't 100% is not good business. I'm not confidant, I'm not excited, and I'll wait till the ps4 version has an update telling me all bugs they know of are fixed. I'm still planning for Christmas to play it and pretend it just came out.

Its made of chickpeas and you can season it how you want. You grind up the mix of chickpeas and your seasoning, roll into a ball, and fry it. You can eat it plain or make a sandwich with pita bread, cucumber, and yogurt. Yum yum... They seriously need fast food places that sell it. -

I love falafel. It's a delicious Mediterranean food. And I don't know why, but I love egg drop soup. -
For generations we have depended on tv for our emotional needs. Do you believe gaming is the closest thing to real life emotions? I believe we bond more with characters as we control their movement and decisions. And we usually play games over a long period of time, compared to a 2 hour movie. A tv series for 8 seasons is pretty comparable in emotional attachment. But does controlling the character make you develop stronger bonds? Everything you go through and explore, is that stronger than a tv character? I do believe an episode or movie on tv keeps you focused on the story and then it ends short and sweet. Games can sometimes linger on as you get sidetracked from the main story. Does that take away from the bonding of your character? Or develop it? And as far as emotions, is gaming the closest thing to real life emotions?

Would people be happier if gaming was in mainstream conversations and everyone of all ages enjoyed a gaming night? Can it unite families and communities? Look at how people gather to movie theaters. Every town has one. But what if there were arcades people go to instead for dates, family night out, and the Friday night talk of the town about what new hit game is out. Think about it for a minute. How do you think your family, friends, peers, community would all change? I think it could be very big coming together moment. And if politicians showed an interest in gaming, would their craziness get diluted if they stopped plotting and started gaming? Or would they still accuse the other side of taking your games away? Would they then politicize games? Or would it bring out the inner fun child in them and slowly forget about made up enemies and just play games and shut up? I think it could increase community economics if more people got out to have fun in arcades. And I see a hell of a lot more bonding with someone playing a game with them at home instead of a movie. How do you think society would change if everyone embraced gaming?
