Since this post started, I've gone ahead and started a new play through for X and I don't remember being given the choice. I looked it up and I think that's only available in international versions of the game. Why it's not in the U.S. version, who knows. Maybe Europeans are just smarter and need more challenge than us dumb N. Americans.

I've been playing Outlast 1 and enjoying it. Sometimes I can smell the blood right through the tv screen. I also have Outlast 2 I'm gonna play after. And after that I'm gonna play Evil Within 2.

This is a really great topic and thanks for sharing that article!!! I don't even know where to begin, cause in my gaming experience, taking photos is a big part of it. Especially AC Odyssey, where I first experimented with its photo mode. That is a very beautiful game. The article made good points how some photographers may even prefer this method. One problem I see happening as Resident Evil has done is that the game developers will add copyright stamp on every pic taken. I agree that we should respect the developers because they created the world, but the world is in a continuous real life imagined cycle with movement. And to capture something so specific in all that, to me should be respected as a photographic art. Very often I find myself setting up a shot the way I want it. It used to be a stop and click, stop and click. But with all the features coming out in the photo modes, now I use props and try to get the right reflection of the sun, and add leaves or butterflies like Ghost of Tsushima photo mode has. I wonder how that debate will play out on whether a copyright will be upheld or not. The lines get blurry even further if a photo was taken without much effort, just a random shot of the beach. Would that still be personal art, or the game's? I think if anything, the developers can get a cut off of any recognition or profit for using their photo tool, rather than from the scenery itself. I really don't know. I personally see video games itself as an art. Especially after playing the Layers of Fear series. Those games have changed the way I see video games now. Everything about it is art. And that game with especially its sequel would create even further controversy because each scene in the game is already a captured moment. It is already set up portraying an image it wants you to see and feel. It would be hard to create anything really specific in that game that isn't already there. But then again, games like that probably shouldn't offer a photo mode. Play your favorite game and do some photography, what's not to love? For me, my pics are a sort of journal in my adventure that I'll look back on sometime and remember the experiences playing those games. I have taken some pretty cool pics, but I'm a bit inspired to try and get some really amazing ones now.

What’s the weirdest dream you’ve ever had?

If you ever speak a language you don't know in your dream or real life then that could be xenoglossy. It might be related to reincarnation or some other phenomena. -

Yeah, but when one of their minions proposes or passes a bill like this, the rest of republicans across the country follow in step. Soon our red and blue states will be living under an entirely different constitution. -

Florida republican governor just signed a bill that bans social media companies from deplatforming or banning political candidates. So we are now going into a free speech and social media crisis. It paves the way to have no accountability for politicians that incite violence. Is this the start of state run internet? I believe it's unconstitutional and should be sued. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-media/florida-governor-signs-ban-deplatforming-tech-companies-rcna1018 -
I got 12/20 I miss that series.

Whenever I get home from somewhere, forget the hands, I feel like I have to wash my soul. I have to wipe that dirty glare off me. I have to clean their stench off of me. I have to wipe their evil residue off my boots before going inside. Sanitize me under the sun and let the wind beat me. Shake the zombie virus off of me. Every time I step outside, they are there stumbling around and gazing at me with hungry eyes. They want to feed off of my life source. I keep this stone with me, to block whatever demon lurks behind those hateful eyes. They walk together in unity, never a stare at another, but forever a predatory stare at me. The hate, the hunger, the need to feed off of me. I try to step quietly and live my life among these monsters. Get what I need and come back home. Don't linger or they will surround me and feed. Every now and then I see one of my kind. And we acknowledge each other's precious life force. We can't gather too close or our energy will stir the monsters. They will sense it, get excited from our energy. They will make noises and twitch sporadically in pangs of hunger. Me and the other live soul watches each other's back as we work our way back to our vehicles, and nod one last time as we go back to our homes. Our home in the middle of this apocalypse.

For me it just depends on the company. I'm an introvert naturally, but in good company I'm an extrovert. But since I feel like an alien most of the time around people, most of the time I'm an introvert. But if I go to a festival or something where all kinds of interesting people come together, then I'm an extrovert. I'm very sensitive to the 'weather' of crowds. I can feel it when there is good energy and bad energy. Also, I tend to feel comfortable in high energy areas which tend to be the lower income communities with bustling crowds. But if I go to a wealthy suburb, the energy is way different as people are more hard nosed and glare a lot. They aren't free of character. So I shut down in an angry little bubble.

Bloober Team might be making a new Silent Hill?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Now that I know who Bloober Team is, that would be pretty awesome! Silent Hill is due for a game, but it could be something different they are working on. And they better make it available on all consoles. Not like The Medium crap only for PC. That was a F U to fans. -

Sony clamps down on sexual content in PS4 games
Reality vs Adventure replied to DylanC's topic in Gaming News
I can sympathize with the concern women may have as being seen as objects, but to use the excuse about censoring sexuality to protect children is hypocritical. That basically says that skin is bad and killing is just fine. If you add more clothing, then you must subtract the violence. There are ratings in games for a reason and it is up to the parent to teach their children and decide what is appropriate for their own. Otherwise, what is the point of ratings. If you want to make a kid's game and show skin, then accept the fact that the game will get an adult rating. In return, the stores and the parents are responsible who buys adult rated games. They do that at the movie theatre. What the hell is the difference. -
The issue for me really isn’t a white male protagonist, it is the ‘generic boring white male protagonist.’ Or the ‘young Clint Eastwood type.’ It has really run its course and people are just tired of it. The protagonist in Metal Gear Solid or AC Valhalla simply utilizes the white male the right way. It isn’t a forced cliche type of a societal white male dominant 50’s era perfect well rounded boy that everyone loves. In MGS and AC Valhalla, they have character. Not some whitewash facade forced down our throats. It is highly repetitive and I am not alone being completely irritated by the facade of the perfect white male while other people types are always the villain, monster, side kick, or fodder. I wholeheartedly agree that its shit seeing the same thing over and over again. They have the right to do what they want and we have the right to backlash. We are tired of it. And it is not just a gander to a specific crowd why they want a ‘young Clint Eastwood type.’ In cultural psychology, it is known as another attempt to heroize one type and demonize another. And this has gone on for too long consciously and subconsciously in entertainment.

The Obscene Activision Blizzard Tax Evasion
Reality vs Adventure replied to UleTheVee's topic in Gaming News
Amazon as we know is way bigger, and who is trying to get into the gaming environment pays zero taxes. -
Wow that's pretty cool. Wish I can buy one as a collectible but it's all sold out. And it's not something that can be sold on eBay.

Ummm, any comments? It actually looks like I can get into it. Would it be worth the few dollars though? I see only one play through from this.

Ubisoft Is Going All In On Pay To Win
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming News
I currently have 6 AC games downloaded on my system and play them all on a regular basis. I don't feel pressured to buy anything, but they do offer cool gear that I want which is very expensive. I can't justify the prices when I can buy a whole new game instead. They do offer free gear in the game as you do quests and over time usually weekly you can earn enough credits to get a free piece. I love that they offer that. The store price, please, crank it down a little. But I hope Ubisoft isn't thinking of going multiplayer or pay in any way to play Assassin's Creed games in the future. They have a great thing going that they shouldn't ruin. I won't pay for any bullshit like that. -
Games from the "worst" companies that you enjoy
Reality vs Adventure replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
I play at least one Assassin's Creed game everyday. I can't say the same for other titles in Ubisoft, but I haven't had any problems with them. They have gear for sale that is outrageous in price. But that same gear, at least one piece is available for free each week by completing quests. AC Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla have that. Ubisoft has skimpered a bit in Valhalla because you have to do even more quests to earn any free gear each week, and usually over a couple week period you will earn enough to get one piece of gear. I don't see other games offering free gear to earn while playing. Valhalla does take more time to earn that gear which for me takes away from immersion because I have to keep stopping and rush to do a quest in another part of the map I haven't even explored yet. It is optional though. So I say, thank you for offering stuff Ubisoft, and you have some cool stuff, but please make it more available to us so we can focus more on the awesome game. -

Facebook has a chance to change their guidelines to make it a direct violation for inciting violence and starting harmful conspiracies. Facebook has failed to make those changes for whatever reason. That's what the debate was about in the 'Facebook court' whether a permanent ban was legit. Forget about the bigot. Worry about Facebook cowardice. There is a hell of a lot of cowardice going around. How do their hearts even pump blood when it's too afraid to beat? That must feel really shameful to have the cowardice hormone flowing through their veins. Every thought, every movement, every beat, every breath, the cowardice flows through them. They live with their shame every second. Beat, beat, beat. More cowardice flows through them. Another thought of shame, beat, pump, shame, cowardice, beat, pump, shame, cowardice. They look at themselves in the mirror and see skin covering a live system of cowardice. They know it too. They know they are shameful. Now they have to face their kids and lie to them to cover their shame and cowardice. And so they teach it to them. And the cycle of cowardice and a lifetime of shame continues. They think it makes it ok if more people live in shame like them. They think it helps them hide. But every thought, every second, the heart beats cowardice through them and they feel it. They know it. They hide it. Cowardice-that is a diseased state. They let it take over them. To make themselves feel better, they spread it like the plague. The Cowardice Virus. If you suffer symptoms, please seek medical advice. It could be life threatening. -

Do You Use Video Games As A Coping Mechanism
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
I think subconsciously many of us actually do play games as some form of coping mechanism. It could get you away from your spouse, parents; aid in boredom, loneliness; and there is a broad spectrum of emotions we go through on a daily basis where who knows what nerve makes us want to sit down and play whichever game we decide to play. But it wouldn't be a healthy coping mechanism to play games every time your spouse wants you to do the dishes. lol. For me, it definitely fills a void that has been deprived of me such as venturing into cities and villages in beautiful open worlds and immerse in culture and exploration. Maybe I desire to live in another age in another culture. Actually, I do desire that. Well shit... -
He's pretty good. Some adults out there really do need songs and children stories, campfire scares, etc. to get the point across that pandemics are bad. But they do know that already right? wink wink. The deniers just want major cities to take its toll hoping that would lower liberal votes. That's all the crazies care about. That's the real hidden message of denying the virus. Stats show blacks and Hispanics have taken the brunt. So the deniers want more of that. They even protest people's rights to get vaccinated and even shut down a vaccination site. All the while they cry "you can't force me to wear a mask." But they try to force others to take off their masks and not get vaccination. And I mean by force where they literally beat and kill people for wearing masks. The devil has a boner.
