Oh that's a good one! Gotta get to the 'root' of the cause... 😅 -
A short film about a serial killer potato?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Knight Plug's topic in Movies & TV
There is 100% possibility a potato can grow through the ceiling. The roots can grow straight through and wiggle on down. You ever seen how fast a mushroom can grow? Course not. Everything in the dark grows really fast. The potato roots just might be able to wiggle on down to a person sleeping and even wiggle up their nose. And when they wake, beware. They will be infected walking around with a potato hanging from their nose. Or maybe you will only see the roots slither out the nostrils every now and then, as the potato remains incognito. -
Oh man, welcome to Ubisoft hell. They have the absolute worst servers for games that I know of. In fact, I blame my AC Valhalla game crash on Ubisoft Connect where every single game save data was corrupted. I went to Connect to get a free gift or something, can’t remember, and it froze everything leading to corrupt save files. This is a scary insight since Ubisoft is going all out Infinity for all future AC games, meaning their servers at its current state will bring hell to Earth. I don’t know exactly how they will utilize their online server, or if Connect will be used for Infinity. Connect is super slow and just plain fucked. With that said, I just started a new + game with Odyssey playing as the male version because I love the game so much. I’ve recently finished playing as Kassandra with all DLC. And this is awesome you are playing Odyssey. Look, Ubisoft isn’t known for a hair pulling story. But there is so much in the game to love. Stick with it. And play the DLC. Understand the animus storyline. Oh! Don’t forget about the Discovery Tour as you play along. You will love it even more.

I keep coming across all sorts of articles about a new hype of AI taking over. And this hype is coming from prominent tech leaders as well as politicians. There is even new efforts to beef up our national security to increase our own AI for security as well as combat the threats of China's AI advancements. What the hell is going on here? Can someone explain please? Do we really have a worldwide threat of AI taking over in the near future? This isn't comic book stuff. This is the real talk of the town now from world leaders and tech giants. What's the catch? Are they trying to sell something? Sell fear maybe? Promote new tech initiatives? Are we entering a new wave of a violation of privacy rights? Are tech giants just looking for government funds? What is the hype?

Kansas republican politician Mike Brown tried to ban minority groups such as women, youth, blacks and Hispanics from their party. They tried to strip all power from those elected officials in Kansas through legislation, those groups being Kansas Federation of Republican Women, Kansas Young Republicans, Kansas Black Republican Council and the National Republican Hispanic Assembly. A republican politician is trying to evict them all from the state's Executive Committee and take all their legislative powers away. Come on man, what the fuck? This is the future of the republican party. Look how they are banning DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity) everywhere they can in schools and businesses. Now they want to ban DEI in their own party ranks!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy shit! If you aren't shocked by this, then you need to be tasered a few times to wake your ass up!!!. Shake your brain cells a bit!!! Seriously, republicans feel so threatened by women, young adults, blacks and Hispanics that they want to ban their duties as elected officials within their own republican party!!!! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article275308266.html

A short film about a serial killer potato?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Knight Plug's topic in Movies & TV
The potato would only come out at night because it would sprout in the light! Would be quite ugly for a potato to have sprouts coming out everywhere. It could be the toxins from the sprouts turning the potato into a serial killer. -
I really liked that video of the teacher. She’s being investigated for showing the animated Disney movie Strange World. She even had signed confirmation from parents to show Disney movies to students and even allowed personal exceptions of a movie parents didn’t want their kids to watch. So the teacher had the ok from all parents. Now she’s investigated. Not only that but investigators dragging kids to interrogate them w/o parent’s approval. What kind of sexual interrogation are they asking kids? At first kids probably could care less about any political drama. Now they have been exposed to the republican perversion they are inflicting on America. That trauma is way more than watching a freakin Disney Animation. What happened to parental rights? You are now interrogating kids? Not even cops can do that. The GOP is Genital Obsession Party. The Gay Obsession Party.

I'm playing Modern Warfare Remastered and this shit looks and feels so real. I literally wanted to jump inside the game and start tearing shit up. Are all the COD games this graphically real? The only latest ones I've played is this and Vanguard, another spectacular game. Is the new Modern Warfare a remake or something completely new?

Xbox to Buy Activision-Blizzard for $68.7 Billion.
Reality vs Adventure replied to Shagger's topic in Gaming News
The FTC hasn't given the green light yet. On Dec 8, 2022 they announced a complaint about the acquisition. Not sure if a 'complaint' is the same as an investigation. But this link shows the entire timeline of the matter from Dec 8 to now. They say "an evidentiary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. ET before an Administrative Law Judge at the FTC’s headquarters." https://www.ftc.gov/legal-library/browse/cases-proceedings/2210077-microsoftactivision-blizzard-matter -

This is getting dicey. The EU is willing to babysit Microsoft with regulations, but for how long? And what happens when the higher ups change political ideology in the EU? Will they then decrease their regulatory control? Allowing Microsoft to slither their way in a bit more to control Cloud Gaming or something else? I understand the importance of regulations, but this is an unnecessary acquisition that really has no other purpose except to monopolize. Blocking that attempt is far more important than regulating that attempt because who is to say there won't be other issues that come up in the future? Then what? The CMA or EU will have to take Microsoft to court again. Then more negotiations and regulations? What message does that send to industries who seek a monopoly? That you can always negotiate? What precedence does that set. It gives Sony the right to buy up the next biggest game developer. And it gives Microsoft to go ahead and buy up the next biggest game developer. Then Nintendo gets in on it. They can always just 'negotiate' while they wait for politics to change and grant them less regulations. Slippery slope. I guess for now, it all depends on the CMA in the UK since they have already blocked it. So we will see how Microsoft's appeal goes. They still have to get past the FTC in America too. -

Woah. On the day before Mother's Day too. Hope the person didn't do it in front of their family. -
I'm not gonna try and sympathize with the fascist cult. They have made their conscious decision to ignore Fox news admittedly lying to them. They are now a threat to our right to life and our right to free and fair elections. I'm not gonna treat them as people that need to come to their senses. They need to be treated as terrorists. Look at the mass shooting in Allen Tx, the second mass shooting in one week in Texas (first one was in my neighborhood in Cleveland Tx). This one in Allen, Tx just a few days ago, the guy was a neo nazi and republicans are at it again, making dangerous conspiracies about it. Even Musk on Twitter is throwing out conspiracies going against investigators and going against facts. And his conspiracies, using the microphone of Twitter, goes right along with Tucker Carlson white supremacist saying he will bring his nazi show to Twitter. Musk is buttering Twitter up for Tucker's new job. I was right all along about Musk and his purpose buying twitter. It's cause he supports the fucking far right fascists who dreams of censoring democrats and have a dictatorship. I've mentioned this in another post where convicted felon Dinesh D'Souza, pardoned by Trump, wanted Musk to buy Twitter to censor democrats. And that is what Musk has been trying to do by attacking news like NPR and PBS who no longer use Twitter now. BTW, D'Souza was the guy who made the film 2000 mules election lies as a favor for Trump pardoning him. These people are 100% neo nazis. No doubt about it. They are fully consciously aware of what they support. They are aware of their lies and conspiracies. They choose to try and overthrow our democracy. They fucking consciously choose to do so. I have no sympathy for them. They may be in a cult, but it is not at all about them thinking what they are doing is right. They know they are in the wrong. They know they are bad. That is what makes them evil. They are fully aware of the white supremacy they support. They are fully aware of their desire for a dictatorship. They are consciously aware psychotics who try to keep a straight face in public, knowing in their mind they want to genocide Americans. Every mass shooting they simply don't even give a fuck about it. They incite the violence, then they deny the shooter has any nazi or white supremacist ties. Even Jack Teixeira, the traitor who stole Pentagon documents is a hero to republican Majorie Taylor Greene, who is on the Homeland Security committee. She even called for a secession on President's Day. She even supports QANON. They are in a cult, but they know exactly how they are morally wrong for what they are doing. They know it! We know it. Republicans have 100% rejected democracy and our rights. In two years since Trump lost the election, republicans have passed hundreds of bills to suppress voters, and now teachers can go to jail, they tried to jail librarians, they want to execute women for having an abortion. I even read in the news today that republicans don't even want to allow exceptions for rape victims as they voted against those exceptions in Louisiana. Their cult is a fascist obsession that will never go away. Imagine two years from now, they gonna jail reporters or make protesting illegal? It's not gonna stop. They are going to drag us all into a war. It's gonna happen. You can't have two complete opposites moving in complete opposing directions. We have a corrupt supreme court who hates our elections. We have the moore v harper case coming up for the supreme court and no doubt they will end our free and fair elections by getting rid of all election oversight from courts and the constitution. Which means republicans will have free will to appoint whoever they want even if they didn't win a vote. Meanwhile, we are scraping by with all the investigations against the corrupt republicans, with multiple investigations against Trump while republicans are abusing power to try and obstruct everything like they have constantly done with both his impeachments, and the Russian collusion investigation. The USA is seriously living with the New Nazi Party formerly known as the GOP or Republican Party. It's here. What I'm trying to say, is they may be a cult, but they are consciously aware psychotics. Hiding behind the mask of christianity, using God's name to commit evil acts. They're going to fucking hell.

It's only been a month in a half ago Trump was indicted by a grand jury in Manhattan for using his campaign money to pay hush money to a prostitute, and now he was just found guilty of sexual assault by a jury in a civil case. He is ordered to pay $5 million to E. Jean Carroll for sexually assaulting her and defaming her. Of course Trump denies it all and he refused to go to court and defend himself under oath. Which I'm sure that if any man is not guilty, he would defend himself. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-e-jean-carroll-trial-verdict-liable-defamation-sexual-abuse-5-million/ But this isn't the first time Trump refuses to speak in the court room. Trump was being investigated in another incident relating to the Trump Organization and tax fraud. Trump plead the 5th 450 times in the court room: Trump even said himself 'You see the mob takes the Fifth. If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?' Turns out, the Trump Organization just recently has been found guilty of tax fraud. It really makes you wonder how morally broken people have to be to continue to support Trump. It really is a mental disorder. Or perhaps, they are consciously aware of everything and don't care one bit because they are a bunch of new nazis. I'm not gonna shy away from calling them what they are. This is a pretty sad state for this country though, especially for the republican party who keep defending this guy who is running for president after being impeached twice and planned a coup attempt.

This is very strange; I don't even know what to say. There should be laws against abusing their right to sue. What is even more interesting are the judges who hear these cases. If it is a garbage case, then why are they hearing it instead of dismissing the lawsuit. A judge needs to slap a fine on Monster Energy for litigation abuse, if that is the correct term. Makes you wonder why they are going after gaming companies. Are they being vindictive for not getting a contract with gaming companies? Are they targeting potential competitors in the gaming industry so as to gain more favor from another gaming company? Why would they be angering an industry that advertises their product? Or is that just how low their brand has become?

What the heck!!! I downloaded Watch Dogs 2 and the whole time a large warning screen keeps popping up saying I lost internet connectivity. It keeps doing that over and over. I ended up having to turn the network off so the screen no longer pops up while I'm trying to play the game. But with the internet turned off, I can't access any online activities. WTF was Ubisoft thinking. What a flop.

I just started playing Bioshock. This is my second play through. Such a great setting and the graphics and colors are amazing. I'm really enjoying it this time around. I enjoyed it the first time too, but I developed a greater appreciation. A game like this could easily be a new generation game by the looks of it.

What game would you like to see in VR that isn't?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Shortie's topic in Virtual Reality
That would be awesome! Man I'm getting excited now. Imagine switching to your eagle and fly around. Supposedly Ubisoft is highly confident with Nexus and may already be thinking about Nexus 2. -
I don't even see how he can be sued for that much money, $14 million, if he doesn't have it or never will. I don't know how much Bowser is worth, but I guess the court thought he could make that money up. If not, then that could be indentured servitude. It's his own fault though, but still a lot of money to pay up.

Assassin's Creed Nexus is coming to Oculus VR. That's gonna blow my mind away. I always imagined an AC VR game. -
I'm good. News says there is a mass shooter on the loose in my neck of the woods. Gonna have to keep my eyes peeled. $80,000 reward. Since my backyard is literally the woods, he could be creeping around. Couldn't believe it when I saw the news. These shooters are getting closer and closer to home for everybody. There is a mass search going on for him.

Xbox to Buy Activision-Blizzard for $68.7 Billion.
Reality vs Adventure replied to Shagger's topic in Gaming News
That's huge news! Microsoft made their proposals and the CMA still found Microsoft to be at an unfair advantage. I'm glad they didn't settle. I personally believe Microsoft needs to be spanked for this. They have been in the hot seat two decades ago for violating anti trust laws and they were granted a settlement. Here we are again, which proves that a settlement won't teach any lesson. Of course they will appeal, but whichever way you look at it, Microsoft will clearly have an advantage on Cloud gaming in the UK. The whole point of this transaction was to gain an unfair advantage, so I don't think Microsoft will find any way to settle with the CMA. Activision has taken a more extreme stance on this by attacking the UK as shown by the quote. But this is what you would expect with Kotick still there even after all the toxic workplace allegations. Plus, Activision/Blizzard's fallout with China's NetEase causing them to destroy Blizzard's offices in China kind of paints a picture that maybe Activision/Blizzard management really are not nice guys. I mean, look how they attack the UK saying they are closed for business. But in reality, the CMA protects consumers. Obviously, to Activision it is all just business. They don't care about the little guy or fair competition. Most big tech industries don't. Where would consumers be without the CMA or FTC protecting us? The FTC in Japan has dropped its investigation and claims the transaction will not violate their antitrust laws. The FTC in America I don't know what the status is there, but the CMA stood their ground. I believe it's the right call. -
The remake is already out? Has anyone played it yet? I haven't heard anything about it. I thought this game would be talk of the town.

Tucker has been offered a job in Russia for their English speaking state run propaganda. hahaha and they want Tucker to run for president. Fox breeds traitors. Ex Fox News Director Jack Hanick went to Russia to set up a far right propaganda network with a Russian oligarch and he broke Ukraine sanction laws and even used propaganda to try and get Ukrainians to turn against their own country to support Russia. Hanick was caught by the FBI and faces 20 years prison. Now Tucker, and all his Russian propaganda at Fox News always trying to turn Americans against each other and Russia offers Tucker a job? Fuckin traitors. The whole lot of em.

What is your favorite lore?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
I love post apocalypse too. But I also love present apocalypse. I love seeing how the world falls apart; the beginning stages of it and mass mayhem. That moment when people don't really know what to do. You just see all the chaos. And the military comes in and tries to contain the problem to no avail. The mad scientists or labs that go to shit. Patient zero. When doctors discover they are dealing with something beyond their expertise. Then the post era, the threat of human nature to survival. People finding new companions, trying to rebuild something. I like coming across scenes where you know a struggle happened there and you get clues to what happened. Like at check points in Days Gone picking up recordings of getting overrun. Or notes in TLOU when you see a body. Even many years later, I like finding hints of how things once were like in Horizon Zero Dawn or Mad Max. I will always be a fan of apocalypse games.
