  1. You are very right about Albion characters as well as Klan Kelly. When I scope things out I sometimes look at their bio summary to see if they are worth killing or not. lol. If they donate to bad causes or anti immigrant, that sort of thing I'll kill em so quick. And usually their surroundings give a good idea who they are, like if they are patrolling a torture zone, I'll kill em. But yeah, many of them you recruit, they say they want out of the game so as to not get involved with the harder or more sinister stuff. This kind of personalization for all characters including so called enemies is an outstanding feature.
  2. Wow, you are right about Mindjack. You can take control of anybody. That's a cool feature. Haha-I'm always wondering who I killed when I'm crashing into them fleeing the cops. And sometimes using the hijack car feature to drive them off the road to get out the way and it smashes into someone on the sidewalk; ooops!!! Nobody saw that right?
  3. I had to read up a bit on this topic to see what exactly what the controversy is. And I completely agree with you that we don't have enough data to draw definite answers. The controversy is whether or not a transgender can compete in one year of treatment or in 2-3 years from the start of treatment depending on how much strength is retained. And since everyone is different and it might be different for each sport, more research needs to be done. Some research says that 12% of strength is retained after one and possibly even two years of treatment. And again we need more research on it because it's not like athletes stop training while going through therapy. They exercise and build muscle. So that's why I say each sport should be researched and maybe even have different standards for each sport. So who knows, maybe the requirements will change to 2 or 3 years. Either way, we should respect any and all winners of competition because strength is nothing without endurance. Swimming requires a lot of endurance as well as technique. Remember the video I posted about arm wrestling? How the little guy beats everyone else no matter how big and strong they are??? Yep, it's technique.
  4. This needs a special topic because I think it's the first game ever made where you can pick whatever NPC you want to play. It's pretty awesome to choose who you want to join your crew. It gives a bit of respect to all NPC's that populate the environment. I never want to run anyone over cause you don't know who they are. Everyone has value in that game. Part of the fun is just trying to recruit people you have an interest in. Sometimes you can see your crew members walking down the street. And your actions influence NPC's throughout London. I'm playing on the mode where if your character dies, they are gone for good. And it's amazing that kind of realism. I know other games have that kind of strategy in the Souls series, but this is more realistic. And every character looks different, and has different skills and background. It gives you a chance to fantasize and play the kind of person you wish to be. Especially in a dystopian broken corrupt world. Who do you want to be? So many looks. Putting myself in their shoes with everyone being so different creates so many different personalities. I'm hooked on it. What are your thoughts on that kind of interactions? I really hope other games adapt that ability. Well, that's one of the best damn things I've ever experienced in gaming.
  5. I think a 'shit posting' thread might be the easiest way to go. The problem though is that people are interested in a gaming topic and get carried away. A sub forum wouldn't spark convo as well. I think when there is a gaming topic that starts to get carried away, there could be a link or invite to move that conversation elsewhere. And they can post there as much they want. Something like that I think is easier to mod. As far as live chat, that would take away from the number of forum posts and good things people say about gaming isn't saved forever for others to read. It would be cool to have though. But in no way whatsoever should politics be allowed in live chat. lol
  6. Are you saying there are no gay whites that vote republican? What's with your logic always attacking blacks? It's like they are your go to point for everything. The deep south is pretty bad, but is the midwest or mid south any different? They support and are led by the same extremists. It doesn’t matter what part of the country. Look how Arizona in the west has become the far right fringe. Idaho in the north has now passed some heinous laws that are extremist. The mid west/south really is no different. They support the republican motto: leaders should try to outdo each other to see who is the craziest. As long as the voters support that behavior, how are they any different from any other red state? When one red state proposes something or even gets passed, all the other red states follow suit. There is no difference there. Not any more. And you say you are from the mid south or Appalachian region, but you haven't been a good representation of being any different from extremism anywhere else. So this topic about interracial marriage even having the slightest bit of debate in the country is very concerning. Because there are voters out there who want to ban it as the poll has shown. There is a senator who thinks that states should make their own laws on interracial marriage. Now I finally understand the real reason republicans always talk about giving power to the states. And that's because they can get their extremism bills passed that way. And one state that gets something passed, no matter how awful, will lead to another state and another. Then eventually we have an unrecognizable country from one state to another. And all that does is create segregation. I wonder what the results would be if every state had a poll on interracial marriage. It should not be done, but out of curiosity and my personal assumption, I bet the number of republicans wanting to ban it would be substantial. I also believe in states rights, but interracial marriage is not a states rights issue and never should be changed at the federal level. That would be really insane. The way republicans are worsening their integrity and looking for ways to please their base, I doubt this is the last we hear of interracial marriage.
  7. The way I see it, is that the the Holocaust was both a racist and religious attack. Those two things go hand in hand with the far right groups like the Nazis and fascists. They exploit religion to use against unwanted types of people. German Nazis saw Jews as the people who crucified Jesus, but it was only a front to the underlying racist issue. That became their rallying cry that persuaded people to hate Jews and demonized them by portraying them as anti christain. And today, the far right hides behind religion to demonize minorities in this country and so the essence of exploiting religion goes perfectly with racism. Because that way you can discriminate and incite hatred demonizing those people and claim it has nothing to do with race. That’s why there is the huge push against transgender, gays, and abortions because that way you can pile them all into the same group and use religion as the tool to make the right wingers hate non christians, even if they were christians. But racism and bigotry is the driving force, while religion is the vehicle to drive the division. That way they can say they aren’t phobic of those things so they don't alienate public opinion. And anti abortion is their backbone to claim they care about life, when in actuality anti abortion is only a recruiting tool to garner favorable support. At the same time as they grow their base, they get worse and worse in their culture war. All of this leads to genocide eventually. And that's part of the reason we see the attack on the subject of history in public schools, so as to decrease awareness of historical racist atrocities which in return decreases self awareness of racial disparity. So not only is the mask of christianity propelling a cultural racist war in this country, but they are also inadvertently stripping christianity from those they demonize. I think evangelicals probably is where christianity is exploited the most and it's where the far right has dug in their heels, in cult like fashion.
  8. Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Smith's hair because she has alopecia, and Will Smith walks over and punches him. That's crazy. Bad joke from Chris Rock, but also Will Smith had no right to do that.
  9. I’m just trying to prevent situations where someone may feel unwanted in the community for not being a part of the nomination process if forgotten about when the idea is to get all names on there. So this is the last I’ll say on that. Just had to speak my mind about it. And I do appreciate all for trying to include everyone.
  10. I think that trying to nominate every active member for the sake of it will eventually leave someone out. Best to let it run its course naturally.
  11. I think this is getting out of hand because it's about to get to the point where it's offensive for anyone not included. Something with positive intentions becomes a negative.
  12. That's good to hear! The first Dying Light was the very first open world game I ever beat. So it's a must that I get the sequel. Good to hear some positivity for the game.
  13. Yeah that happens a lot to me because I don’t do the quest right away if the distance is far. I don’t like getting pushed out into the map, cause then I run into all sorts of other things that add more quests.
  14. Well, I have done some brutal things playing RDR2 in first person mode. I mean I was laughing my ass off chasing people and just beat them and blast them away up close and personal. I don't normally play like that but it's funny. Something just real sinister about it with the camera wobbling in first person as I run after them, and watch them run in fear; it's freakin funny. Maybe a person's morality shows more when they aren't aware of their actions. In that case, we wouldn't really know what games reveal. I swerve when driving so I won't hit an animal, and I usually do that with humans too. But it really is funny to see the bodies fly. I think immersion makes me tend to be more moral, since I'm trying to be real; but when I want to laugh I'll do crazy things. When I play Trevor in GTA 5 I will play the part and just beat up anyone and chase people. I don't usually do that with the other two protagonists.
  15. She nailed it! I have to say I agree. It's the simplicity of her answer that makes it so brilliant. 😆
  16. The truckers in DC are peeing their pants because of the traffic and unable to get to truck stops. Well, that suits them well for being the babies they are. Don’t they have loads to deliver? I mean besides shitting themselves too. 😆
  17. Wow, I was looking more into this situation with Missouri. This is pretty serious because not only are they trying to ban drugs for ectopic pregnancies, forcing the mother to get an abortion out of state, but also banning out of state abortions by placing a bill on prescription drugs that would force doctors out of state to not be able to perform abortions unless it's to save their life. I don't see why they just don't add that part to the Missouri bill of exempting ectopic pregnancies. But they can't enforce any laws in other states. That's not even constitutional. And the Missouri bill allows out of state people to sue any Missouri native getting an abortion. Again, Missouri has no jurisdiction to enforce any law out of state. Their bill is illegal and unconstitutional. But this is part of the supreme court republican super majority that is allowing these unconstitutional bills. This is a red flag when it comes to election time! They're going to sell out democracy. But that's obviously another topic. I brought it up because these abortion bills are testing the law of the constitution and the constitution is losing because the rule of law is being subverted by state supreme courts as well as the federal supreme court.
  18. Missouri has been in hot water lately with their ridiculous stunts. They keep changing their bills, but it looks like they are banning drugs that are supposed to be used to treat ectopic pregnancies. So even if they were facing that kind of pregnancy, they can’t even use any medicine required to treat it, and is fatal if untreated. So they would have to go out of state and face those other issues.
  19. Yeah it’s always best to wait and see. I think the series needs some sort of historical perspective since Witcher 1 and 2 were only on PC or Xbox and most people don’t understand the lore of the series.
  20. Excuse me, ectopic pregnancies would be exempt, but not rape or incest. I'm trying to be as honest as possible. That still does not excuse the capital punishment for females. This whole thing started off as women and doctors get fined for abortions. Then imprisonment. Now they propose capital punishment. And when do the waters get muddied when it's not an ectopic pregnancy and still life threatening to the mother? Ohio has tried to pass a bill to force the doctors to 'reimplant' ectopic pregnancies or face murder charge. That isn't even a possible medical procedure! Missouri is banning all medicine that can be used for ectopic pregnancies. Missouri even had a ban on ectopic pregnancies but changed it after backlash. So it's not like the GOP isn't proposing bills that would kill a female or go to prison. And a couple of states are trying to pass bills to let rapists family sue the female victim for getting an abortion. This is all going to get uglier and crazier as republicans try to outdo each other when they know nothing about medicine.
  21. Republicans in Texas are proposing a bill to make it a capital punishment for having an abortion. Capital punishment is the death penalty. Republicans are now proposing to execute females, even if they are teens. Even if ectopic pregnancies. Ironically, they even say they don’t support the death penalty. So why aren’t they proposing bills to stop it? Idiots! So long for pro life you religious baboons https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/542436-gop-texas-lawmaker-introduces-bill-to-allow-death-penalty-for-women-who?amp
  22. I bet they do go with female and make her strong for breaking that male tradition, or surviving the ‘Witcher trials’ 😀. Geralt is such a popular character, I doubt they would replace him with another male.
  23. Anybody have any insight to how the story is so far? I’m curious to know how it’s going. Is it story focused or lots of side quests? Anyone overwhelmed or loving it?
  24. Thinking on it, I don’t recall them introducing female witchers. Is it part of the witcher process where only male survive? Hmmm that’s an interesting debate. I bet they do create the first female Witcher. Ciri would be the best. She’s intriguing and was fun playing her those few times in Witcher 3.
