Online streaming ruined cable tv, and eventually it will ruin gaming. The good ol days is when cable and internet were separate. Now it’s tied into your internet usage taking up a big portion of gigabytes if you wanted to stream anything. How exactly will Netflix stream the games to a console? I'm thinking this will increase competition in streaming for PC users which is a good thing; but ultimately a negative for the future of gaming since we all know everything will be subscription based with different games for each subscription. Then Amazon will roll in and topple it all some more. And all them rural satellite folk, faced with streaming shows and games, won't ever have enough gb for what they want. So they will have to pay more for their internet to add more gb package. Every gamer will have at least 3 monthly subscriptions just to get some games they want. As if a monthly cell phone bill and internet wasn't expensive enough. Now you have monthly bills for all your separate entertainment needs. Man, the simple days of internet and cable for under $100 a month is going to be missed dearly.

Wow, a true beauty. I hope you have garage space to keep it out of the weather. Enjoy!!!

They should make any new game that comes out mandatory compatible or not get released. There is absolutely no reason to go against it except obvious money purposes and they can go stick their heads in a pile of doodoo if they don't like it. Greedy bastards need to start getting smacked around. Rise up rise up and smack them greedy bastards! Smack em all real good.

Definitely got most of them cheap except for the more rare games. That's why I got so many in a short period. But I just hated having to make sure the disc was in great shape. My newer console games I buy all brand new. That's cool you sold the whole package deal. I liked looking for bundles of games.

Has anybody ever challenged your beliefs?
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
What are your beliefs about life so I can challenge it. 🤣 -
I'd rather not do something and regret it because if you did something that actually hurt someone's feelings, you have to endure guilt the rest of your life. Plus they have to suffer too. And what if your decision gave you an STD or got your legs paralyzed for getting into that vehicle to rush to an after hour party? There is a lot more pain involved with doing and regretting, than not doing and regretting.

I wouldn't want to see faces look at me in every mirror. Wouldn't want shower water to turn to blood and have a hand reach for my throat. I wouldn't want the lights to completely turn off while I go stand in a corner, listening to movements and voices. I wouldn't want to open my eyes in bed and see an old lady clung to the ceiling with her head backwards. F**k! I'm starting to scare myself. I'll take the pirate island.

Which of the new games have you discovered recently?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Justin11's topic in Gaming Forum
Watch Dogs Legion is one that I'm interested in but have not played. That has been out almost a year now. Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is out. That game is pretty damn good and the scenery is amazing. If you want brand new-Far Cry 6 is coming out in a few days! -
If a new console version didn't come out every 6 or 7 years we wouldn't have this problem. But I think that is a problem of the past/present because now ps4 games are compatible on ps5. I don't know if the same is true for Xbox and what they do for PC. But after this point of compatibility being the new thing, then we should see very few remasters unless of course it is games from the ps2-ps3 years. There should be any reason for remasters from here on out. Keep making the discs compatible for the ps6 and ps7. Maybe they will reach a point where newer technology simply will not accept that compatibility and go through a series of remasters again. As far as Skyrim, I bought the damn remaster on the ps4 and then a new remaster comes out on the same console. That's some cow honkey.

Why is Blizzard replacing women with bowls of fruit?
Reality vs Adventure replied to m76's topic in Gaming News
Maybe so; maybe I looked too much into it; but their inability to see that irony shows how distanced they are. At times that can be just as bad as any deliberate intentions. But overall, this is just a small issue from the bigger problems Blizzard has had in the workplace. -
Why is Blizzard replacing women with bowls of fruit?
Reality vs Adventure replied to m76's topic in Gaming News
I want to add that fruit usually symbolizes fertility. So that's why it is such a strange decision to replace the female picture with fruit. So I don't think their mindset is right yet at Blizzard. They can change a picture, but their beliefs remain at the workplace. -
Why is Blizzard replacing women with bowls of fruit?
Reality vs Adventure replied to m76's topic in Gaming News
Once again this is nothing more and nothing less than ‘Out of Touch Syndrome.’ Blizzard has been in trouble for their work environment, so what do they do? Turn a woman into fruit. This isn’t political, this is business! Because of their bad reputation, they want to change their image so it looks better for business. And you are upset about this for the wrong reasons. You assume it’s political and sexualization is getting scrutinized and females have to cover up or get replaced. Instead you should be offended by their careless approach in trying to fix their reputation and work environment. I mean, to change the female into a bowl of fruit? What were they thinking? This is exactly why they are in trouble in the first place. Why fruit? Because that is how they view women. Even in their attempt to fix problems, they still objectionalize and sexualize as a reminder of what once hung there. Because they are completely out of touch. It’s not really a big deal if you think about it, because I don’t know exactly how many pictures they did that to; but the fact they sat there to think that up and talk about it, and come to the conclusion to change a female to fruit instead is leftover irony from what got them in trouble in the first place. Think about how a female co-worker must feel about everything, then to hear your employer do something as shallow as once again objectionalize women as fruit just as one last final reminder. If a female was a part of that change, then even worse for the work environment because those they assume should be helping are actually blind. And this type of thing is used as bait for politics to attack something that just isn’t true, while dismissing another opportunity to promote a better workplace. -
Study: Video games may lower depression risk
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I think that keeping your mind active as a teen reduces depression. I don't see how gaming is specific at reducing it. If you think about the technological age, more and more young people have less access to things to do. When I was younger, I played basketball everyday after school till the sun went down. Now, basketball courts hardly exist unless you live in a rich neighborhood. So access to simple things is becoming rare. So when you factor that in, and you are left with gaming to keep you busy, then gaming is a substitute for the other activities that we need but lost. So I can see how gaming indirectly helps them have less depression. -
Do you like to play horror games before Halloween?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Alexander.'s topic in Gaming Forum
It's about that time to celebrate FEAR. I can almost taste the iron as I picture puddles of blood. Yes, they are dangling upside down. No more twitching. Very well. Drip. Aww, there is some left. Let me just sample it. Yes, I need the iron. -
To live in the continent of Africa for a year would be an experience of a lifetime. From the Serengeti to rainforests to ancient ruins to the beaches to the waterfalls. From the villages to the cities. You can see for yourself the real struggles of man, from areas of little medicine to child soldiers to hunger to all the exploitations mankind has done to the region. You can see the beauty of living on the edge with nature. Nobody would leave Africa without wisdom.

I'm trying to imagine what they believe, and it just seems pretty scary to me to think like that. But this is what happens when people deny science. This is how religions are born. Next they will pray to the ice goddess to allow their carrots to grow. They will make an altar with buckets of ice and goat blood so that the ice wall can take their spirits.

Republicans should call on their own red states to secede because that would be considered treason. Texas has already talked about seceding on multiple occasions. Don't fall for republican b.s. because they are actually the ones who should secede since they are no longer supportive of democracy and the values of this country and constitution. And if the government won't allow them to secede and they revolt, then that is a civil war declared by the republicans. If that is what republicans want, they should try and come to a compromise with democrats and make it work out. If that is impossible, then they have to declare war. So don't fall for their reverse psychology shit. If democrats secede, republicans will have the right to use the military. If republicans secede, democrats will have the right to use the military. But if both sides agree, then let the republicans form their own country without government resources. I actually do agree we should come to an agreement and form two countries, but it's the republicans who will be called something else like C.S.A. or the Confederate States of America while true Americans retain U.S.A. Confederates already have their own flag so they are already one step out the door. I just don't know how to divide the territories since blue states are all around the border areas and red states are more of in the middle region.

Do you find first person or third person more immersive?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
In Evil Within 2, I play first person indoors and 3rd person outside and that is perfect for me. All games should utilize being able to switch between the two. 1st person indoors helps focus on immediacy; 3rd person outdoors helps view the surroundings. So for me immersion indoors is up close and personal and immersion outdoors is being able to see more of the surroundings. -
When is a playthrough of an open world game “done?”
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It's only done when you don't want to play it anymore. You could finish all side quests, areas of the map, DLC, community challenges, extras content and challenges, play a bit on hardest difficulty, get all weapons and gear; when you have complete satisfaction. -
He hit it out of the ball park with that! Funny video!
