How are the developers supposed to get in touch with gamers if not the big gaming sites? A lot of those reviews from those gaming sites usually don't represent how I feel about games. Maybe developers should have their own fan based site and hope for constructive criticism. But I don't think it would help. Like everything, it would get overrun by irrational people.

I was pretty impressed; cool song and cool performance! When we hear songs like that in games and voices like that, I never think about a person may actually be singing it.

Are there any games you are embarrassed to play?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I’m trying to make sense of how you are uncomfortable with skin, while accusing feminists and social warrior types of influencing developers to make characters less attractive. Then you say skin is not what determines attractiveness. If it has no sway, then what does a feminist have to do with anything at all. Do they complain about a coat being too short? Breasts too large? Are you uncomfortable with large breasts? If so, then you are welcome into the very groups you attack. Maybe the fear/discomfort of skin is a religious thing instead. Or maybe the discomfort of skin, improportionate bodies could just encompass all from any background. So you have cut away with an axe your right to claim feminists or SJW for any direct responsibility of making characters less attractive. Because that could obviously come from any group. -
What do you want from the Fallout TV series?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I didn't know there was a tv series. It could be interesting. But I'm not gonna start an Amazon prime account any time soon or if ever. I wonder if they are gonna keep that 50's type look. -

Would you be embarrassed to play this character? -
Try to enjoy the next 3 years as much you can because it all comes apart after. Democrats are unwilling to pursue justice. Democrats are afraid and weak. Democrats aren't loyal enough to their own party. In the face of the attack on democracy, democrats cower and deserve what is coming to them. Sad to say, but this generation of democrats aren't strong enough or intelligent enough to protect democracy. We are witnessing the fall of the USA in 3 years. At least the fall of democracy and everything good in the country.

What combat styles are you consistently worst at?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It is hard to hit them with the bow unless you got the slow time ability using r3 button. I only use the bow when I'm in assassin mode. And I go for headshot only so I don't alert the others. Or you can use a fire arrow if they are next to an explosive. Without r3, forget about the bow. lol. They run at you too quick and other bowmen get their shot off while I'm still aiming. -
I haven't heard anything about that. Texas is in the dark. No republican is my president No republican is my governor No republican is my attorney general No republican pig deserves my respect They're all corrupt Texans will still vote for him. It's partly because they are stupid, but for the most part they DON'T CARE. So we will have an AG re-elected that could possibly go to prison. If that is what it takes, then carry on traitorous Texans.

I think everything is random. There are a lot of weird coincidences but a person is not so special in any way that forces of energy in the world keep you in mind when something happens. I think there is bad luck and good luck. All that is though is random events that seems to be always unfortunate for some and fortunate for others. With the world wide population, there are going to be a wide variety of luck and fate. If the population were only 10 people and everything bad happens to one person and everything good happens to another, then religion is born. World population thousands of years ago were smaller communities. So rumors spread more when a person has some sort of luck or karma. Giving in to a higher force doing these things is an easy way to make sense of it. It is humanity’s weakness to give everything up to a higher force that controls absolutely everything. People want to feel special. People feel targeted by fates. But in the larger world, humans are ants. Does a dog, lizard, ant, or bird think that things just happen for a reason? The thing about having a higher consciousness is that we try to make sense of everything and so we give up in rationality and assume things happen because it is part of a design. The only design there is, is DNA and cell structures that work together to form tissue, then organs, then systems, and a brain that regulates it all, with senses to perceive the world, and memory to learn and progress. Our spirit is no more that synapses in the brain and cellular electrical membranes. Our soul is the product of it working together making consciousness. Things do happen for a reason though, because sciences drives it all to happen. Physics, chemistry, biology, all intermingle in the universe making things happen, but for no reason at all except plain old randomness following the universal laws. But who knows. I’m human so I am prone to weakness and give up my rationality to higher purposes. I want to believe I am so special that the universe made me spill my tea. And that weakness though keeps people in check. If they believe there is a force controlling their life, they try to do good so bad karma won’t hunt them. Humans are not special. We are parasites in the macroscopic form we know of, yet still microscopic to the greater universe. And with that, I think I am agnostic because I can’t simply throw out the possibility of a higher force. There are things in this world we can’t understand such as if ghosts exist or if people really have been possessed. There are a lot of energies out there floating around that we can’t see like, UV, radiation, emf, radio, satellite, infrared, etc. So who knows what energy a satellite picked up and sent it to Earth where someone talks on their phone with it right by their ears. We are all like walking antennas now. And meteors that hit Earth, possible alien life, viruses, prions, and everything in between. If everything happens for a reason, then why do bad things happen way too often. We have free will right? Doesn’t free will overpower fate? If things happen for a reason, does it let all the bad things happen first then intervene? If those things happen for a reason to teach us, then why does history repeat itself? Why not just get to the good and skip the bad, since humans always fail to learn from mistakes. That would be a good purpose to have if forces controlled everything. Or maybe there are two opposing forces. One trying to make good things happen and the other trying to make bad happen. Do things happen for a reason coming from opposing forces? Is humanity’s free will stuck between a war of opposing energies? Are we just conduits? Are we all possessed?

I have found that there are 3 different types of immersion that I've found while gaming. 1. Storyline 2. Environment 3. Action I tend to take my time and soak up the environment in my first play through so that I become immersed in the world. I've found that for whatever reason, such as losing a save and making up time by speed play through, that I become more immersed in the story. The games that are story driven, even then I slow down and take in the environment, but a second play concentrating on story is refreshingly immersive. Then there is the action oriented games. God of war series I have become pretty immersed in the fun fighting. So what type of immersion do you like the most? Have you tried all three? Are there other types of immersion?

I think they are trying to reach new audiences hoping that the fan base is loyal enough to stick with it. A good example is the Assassin’s Creed series, the new compared to the older games. The classic fans hate the newer games and criticize it not even being the assassin anymore. I like the whole series, but I’m that new fan base that completely loves the newer releases Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. After playing the older and newer games simultaneously, I can easily compare them. And there are some things I noticed in Valhalla that are trying to go back to some of the classic feel. And now they are moving on to reach another fan base again by turning their future games into online mode and probably multiplayer with the Infinity title. And that leaves me behind as a fan. But it is a long series and you can’t always expect the same thing. The theme is the same, but gameplay has had a lot of changes. No matter how much I hate what they are doing now to the series with Infinity, maybe it will be successful. I have some awesome titles that I am satisfied with. I don’t expect them to always stay as the classic or post classic. If they want to go new age, then let’s just see how it goes. I’m not gonna hold them down. I don’t like what they are doing and most likely will lose me as a fan, but I’ll forever be a fan of the games I do have. In a way they are entitled because they have the right to do what they want. To take risks, to reach a new audience. They know what the growing target audience is better than we do. Money is what talks. Game developers is a business. They provide something to sell. Business means entitlement. It means you do whatever you want to increase worth. So when they do make changes and fail, it was a bad business model drifting too far away from what their target audience wants. Businesses have entitlement, but consumers have power. Success is when they figure out how to keep fans and reach a new audience. Entitlement doesn’t always mean they make the right calls. But they can do whatever they want.

I agree that does have some truth to it. That's always gonna be stuck in my head now. lol

ahhhahahaa-I didn't know Kenway was a creature. Maybe he is since it is a memory from a machine. But I do love that gear and actually all the gear of the AC games are incredible. I would feel pretty bad ass if I wore that stuff back in the pirate days.

Would you rather eat a raw snail or raw octopus?
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I can't eat that stuff. No way. I usually stay away from mollusks and crustaceons. Shrimp are nothing but sea roaches. Lobster is a dinosaur roach. But I admit, I would eat oysters only because it is very nutrient dense. But that's rare; I would get a can if I think I need some selenium, copper, and zinc. -
I want to check that out. I've never even heard of it.

New to Gothic: Any Recommendations?

I feel myself falling more into Goth and because I used to draw, I see both petals and thorns. But in life, yeah I'm surprised I just don't skip it all and look at the vine. -

Would you rather wrestle a wolf or a bear?
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I'd wrestle with a wolf, you crazy if you think a bear. Any dog/wolf you encounter, get your arm and shove it down their throat. Natural reaction is to pull back if their teeth grip you. Their teeth are even curved to prevent from pulling. Push into their throat and gag them. Don't stop. Then put their eyes out while distracted.
