What was your worst injury as a child?
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I can't imagine the trauma you went through as a kid. Getting injured is one thing, but intentional injury is another. Because that has emotional ties to it. To hell with those abusers. -
New to Gothic: Any Recommendations?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Music
I'm really liking Voltaire. Can someone give me history or reasoning for gothic 'brooding symphonies' as @Shagger mentioned? I'm really fascinated by the dark/light melodies. And @Empire I've found amazing music. Thanks! -
Covid Delta Variant

Texas and Florida governors are on another level of sociopathy. It's old by now; game is up. They want people to die. Republicans have become the spreaders of the virus. -
It's scary the similarities of real life where politicians are using the same tactics to spread the virus. The game really is a simulation, and a study of real world. Historians and health professionals already know the spread is directly related to those who oppose protections.

What types of weather do video games do best/worst?
Reality vs Adventure replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'm a fan of sandstorms. I love the outside factor you have to deal with. Nature doesn't care if you are toe to toe about to fight and a dust storm heads in your direction. Yeah, I like to fight in the sandstorm. It's chaotic. Specks of red here and there, shine of a blade, sand, blade, sand, blood, run, I can't see, swing baby swing, don't trip, swing for your life, trip, swing, fall, oh shit! My enemy fell on me. Stab mf stab. Stab stab stab. Get up. swing. blades shine through the storm. run, where? -
I want to take a major leap and study 500,000 individuals of all ages and demographics while they are gaming for a 5 year period. God shit dimes so resources are infinite for this research. I want to see how or if gaming can reduce anger and psychological distress in an increasing toxic polarity in politics from the top all the way to the bottom to every household. Your politicians, grandparents, parents, coworkers, schools etc. I want to see if gaming itself, and the social environment with people you know can increase life quality not only personally but as a society. I want to study all the affects of societal and global gaming and interpersonal/cultural relationships. Emphasis on relationships.

What was your worst injury as a child?
Reality vs Adventure replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Jesus man. That's crazy. Glad you are ok cause you are a cool dude. Around 5 years old a babysitter's boyfriend hit me in the head with the spike of a high heel. lol. I had to get stitches. I broke my nose doing a triple backflip in gymnastics. I landed and my knee smashed into my nose and knocked me out cold. I didn't have the training for it. I could do a double easily though back then. My mom ended up dating my coach and ruined everything. -
Your idea teachers can help others more than cops is true, but not in the U.S. anymore. With all the new education bills passed blocks teacher/student relationships in areas that actually need it in communities of oppression. Teachers are now afraid of being fired for absolutely anything they say. And think about guidance counselors in schools who now are restrained from talking about real life problems people of color have in a day to day basis. Teachers are now as oppressed as students are when they can't talk about historical racism to students that are afflicted with it. I would choose to be a cop so I can be the rat in the department. I would police the police without them knowing it.

Please, show us all proof of election fraud. Show me where there is a lack of volunteers to keep polling locations open. Oh, you mean death threats that republicans constantly send to election workers? You are completely delusional if you think they get rid of polling places because of a lack of volunteers. That is a new one. Your ass must hurt from pulling that load out of it. Let's be specific with Texas now. The state has some major cities with Houston the 4th largest in the country. To decrease the number of polling sites because there aren't enough volunteers is either a blatant lie or an ignorant fib. You are religious right? Pray to your god on what he thinks is right about our situation in politics. Ask sincere heartfelt questions about if what you support is morally right. Pay attention to his answers. Just pray on it is all I can say. Hopefully one day we can see eye to eye. Ask God for wisdom. Pray with all you are. Don't pay attention to anybody for a little while. Just pay attention to your inner self and God. An honest prayer could actually save this country. I have found a link in Harris county which is the Houston area and how the polling sites are divided and who got more sites and who got a decreased number of sites. Explain to me why Republican districts that are dominantly white got increased polling sites, and democratic districts with diverse ethnicity got decreased polling sites. https://www.texastribune.org/2021/05/23/texas-voting-polling-restrictions/

Trump is no businessman, he is a conman. Businessmen follow the laws and earn a living legally. Trump had a fake university to con people into money where there was a settlement of $25 million. He doesn't pay what he owes and filed multiple bankruptcies. He refuses to hand over his taxes. He had all kinds of conflicts of interest in office. There is no telling the extent of the trouble he is in if his finances were transparent over the last couple decades. He is a lifetime crook. He is no businessman. People who operate a business legally and has no problem sharing their taxes with the public is a legit businessman. If crooks were businessmen then the mafia and cartels are businessmen. Trump is nothing but a criminal thug. If the obstructers would get out of the way, trump no doubt would be in legal trouble and he would flee to russia with the U.S. confidential secrets. I can see him now wobbling his ass to russia running from America. But since his criminality is protected like a mafia racket and his cult could care less about laws anymore, he just might become the 1st American dictator. His lifetime criminality would be complete. He would be the all time greatest conman.

If this is all about not cheating, then why decrease the number of early voting days? Why decrease the number of hours to vote in populated areas? Why decrease the hours on weekends? Why decrease the number of polling places? Why refuse them water while waiting all day in line? None of these things have to do with voting security. If they cared about election integrity, they would protect any potential hacking. And I remember when trump was president, democrats passed bills in the House to protect voting security against hacking and republicans refused to pass the bills. So all these voting restriction bills are a sham with no proof of election fraud. But we do have proof of trump telling the DOJ to just declare the election corrupt. And asking Georgia officials to 'find votes.' We all know these bills are a way to overcrowd large population areas that are diverse and liberal and cause chaos at the polls. This is not new. This same tactic was used in the Jim Crow days to make it hard for blacks to vote. And that is the real reasoning behind these bills, it is simply to make it hard to vote in populated areas where the majority is liberal and more ethnic diversity.

And are those consequences to arrest them? Breaking quorum is not illegal. They didn't break any law and have the right to do so. Civil rights groups are looking into this to see if their arrest warrants broke any laws. The Texas governor now is proposing a bill to ban any future walkouts or breaking quorum. At the end of the day, none of this is gonna matter because eventually they do have to return to work and the bill will get passed anyways. But this is a desperate situation to protect voting rights in Texas. And I know you don't care about voting rights. But those of us who do care, we are running out of breathing room to protect democracy.

Yes, for sure with me too. Have you tried the Legends DLC? It's free and you can play it single player. I'm still playing the main game and play a mission in the DLC here and there as an extra treat. The protagonist is an admirable character. I like how the DLC as you level up, you can specialize how you want your fighting style; assassin, samurai, hunter, ronin with a different looking protagonist for each. So I'm usually stuck between samurai and assassin. Sometimes I like to stand out in the open as a samurai and put my fighting skills to the test. Other times, I like the challenge of stealth. Or both interchangeably. What is your honor system or creed? Face the enemy, or assassinate? Or does it matter, just kill the bastard.

Do you like games with dark atmospheres?
Reality vs Adventure replied to Alexander.'s topic in Gaming Forum
Not the whole time. A game like Outlast where you need a flashlight, I thought really enhanced the fear factor. I really liked the game, but wish I could spend more time looking at the gruesome stuff, but I can't when I use up batteries. If I played on easy mode, I'd have more batteries at the sacrifice of the challenge. Maybe I took 'dark' too literal. lol -
It's an ugly situation now. Texas is among many other states trying to pass voting restriction bills, and the state has proposed some of the harshest voting restrictions seen yet. So democrats fled the state to break quorum to prevent the bill from being passed. Now the Texas governor has a second special session to pass ridiculous anti critical race theory education bill to add more restrictions of what was already previously passed, and so the democrats refuse to return because if they do, then the bill will get passed just for their presence. So now the Texas supreme court issued arrest warrants for all 52 of them to bring them back to the House. The republicans even propose locking the doors and holding the democrats in the House building however long it takes to pass the bills. Breaking quorum is not illegal and has been done in other instances in the past from politicians on both sides. So this urgency to pass voting restriction and indoctrinating education bills, willing to block salaries of democratic politicians, willingness to arrest constituents, shows you how dangerous this country has become.

I wonder what would have happened if the parents never warned the school. Would they have followed through with the felony? Don't jobs talk about potential situations they may encounter at staff meetings? Do teachers have yearly continuing education requirements? Everyone in the medical industry requires continuing education they have to pass or risk losing license. Teachers need it too. Dealing with autistic children should be in there somewhere. They probably skip through all that in college too.
-
I can't find an exact quote in RDR where they say "burn the teachers and the school." So if the game didn't say that, then it is not scripting. Those are the words the child said. The fire bottle part he referred to is from the game. So if the game didn't quote the burning of teachers and school, then this is a deliberate attack on the game itself. I could be wrong, did the game actually use those words with the teacher and school? If so, then all this is redundant.

The cops need to question the family because in today's world you don't know if the parents say extremist things around the kid. And being autistic, he probably takes some things literally if he is around a toxic environment. I'm not saying this is the case, and most likely isn't, but if the child's parents are extremists and talking about violence and bigotry around him then the cops need to question them.
