If you could change one thing about your favorite game ...?

Such a refreshing attitude in a world where people will take any excuse they can think of to complain about something, lol. -
To those who live in small homes/apartments...

@skyfire @killamch89 Thank you both for your thoughts/feedback. I probably really just need to clean ... and organize ... ugh. Not my favorite chores. Wouldn't it be nice if we could earn trophies for stuff IRL? :/ -
Worst behavior you ever witnessed in an MMO?

That one is impressively terrible! -
Good point! On that note, is Odahving immune to dying? I always worry about protecting him like my other pets, lol.
-
On that note, I should've also mentioned Fallout. I love the old songs on the radio!

Exactly. The ability of the child to reason is important too. I never really saw a connection between video game "violence" and real-life violence--there's nothing harmful occurring on a screen. But some kids may not have the ability to make the distinction, and as a result, may behave problematically.

Ironically, the thing that makes me so keen on getting ripe avocados makes me completely unable to eat bananas. I have food texture issues. Bananas taste good, but I can’t swallow them very effectively :/

Alas, by definition, I'll never know =D But at least I got some cool souvenirs.
-
I know. I get so envious when I read through mod descriptions.

What lines to you are the most memorable in all video games you have played? Most of the ones which stick with me are from Bioshock games (i.e. “A man chooses, a slave obeys”)

When we are young, it seems to be easier to develop passionate obsessions (something about everything being novel to us, I suspect, and our developing identities). Were there games you were completely obsessed with when you were a kid, and thought about constantly? What were they, and why did they hook you?

How to Train Your Dragon 3. The ending was a total contradiction of everything cool the series stood for before.

I completed Myst (with help in one of the hardest parts), but never completed Riven, lol. Beautiful game, but very very hard.

This is one of several games that makes me wish I had space in my home for multiple consoles. I'm so excited for this one, yet I know I will be waiting ... If there's any chance of PS5 being backwards compatible, getting a PS4 just makes no sense at this point of time for me. -
I'm on PS3, the system where mods are not possible.

That joke is both more and less funny than you think :/ You have no idea how badly I wanted to be James Bond, lol. I seriously considered CIA as a career when I was young. I did get to visit their HQ once, which was super cool!

I have my own version of this silliness though. Sometimes I will get extremely angry at a puzzle or a boss fight, and will refuse to get up and leave until i beat it, even if I hate every minute.

Do you think online gaming should be paid?
StaceyPowers replied to Alexander.'s topic in Video Games
I was really alarmed when Amazon suddenly stopped offering the ability to purchase TV shows that I was in the process of buying the other month. Thankfully, the seasons I bought before the change are still available to me in my account, but I’ve had to look for other ways to purchase the remaining seasons. One just doesn’t know what is going to happen with digital purchases. -
I'm far from faultless myself. I did a lot of underhanded things in the MUD I played back in the day. I was a spy, so through my underhandedness, I got to see everyone else's dirt way more clearly than I wanted to. In the end, I got so jaded I quit. It was the only way to undo my percentage of the damage.

I will try to be an optimist then ...

Funny we both went with things involving fruits at the grocery store.

Not with my aftermarket controller, ugh. RDR is so sensitive that I ride in a zig-zag, lol. The main difference seems to be that when you turn the horse in Skyrim, it moves forward and goes in a sort of circle. In RDR, when you turn the horse sharply, you need to do it in place and then go on your way. I think the second movement is probably more lifelike/realistic.

To those who live in small homes/apartments... I live in just one room. It’s a tiny space which has my entire life in it—living room, kitchen, bedroom. I keep my PS3 under the desk which has my TV on it. To those of you who likewise live in tiny spaces, how many consoles do you own? Where do you keep them? Any advice for conserving space with multiple consoles?

What is the absolute worst behaviour you have witnessed in an MMO? In one game alone, I witnessed: Admins cheating players in events An admin banning a player for protecting another from sexual harassment Destruction of real-life relationships to achieve in-game aims Pretty lousy stuff. Anyone have stories to tell?

Yeah, exactly. It isn’t as bad if they have a LAN and single player mode that keep functioning, but it still sucks. The other thing that scares me on a related note is purchasing games online. Technically, you don’t “own” anything—you have a kind of “indefinite rental.” If the company goes under, the contract evaporates, and you can lose everything. This applies with movies/TV as well. I feel like it’s becoming harder and harder to actually own any sort of watchable or playable content.
