How do you feel about the gaming convention of the silent protagonist? Do you like the protagonist to be silent as a rule, never silent as a rule, or silent in some types of games but not others?

What are some games that feature moments where you are fighting from a vehicle, like using a gun or whatever? Not games where you simply assume control of a vehicle’s movements and weapons, but one where you are fighting as a passenger from within the vehicle (horseback counts).

I can’t imagine not making manual saves for games whenever games allow it—but I was surprised to learn that some people rely purely on auto saves. Does anyone here not use manual saves?

It happens almost immediately. If you talk to Fralia (I think that's her name) in Whiterun, she'll ask for your help.

So, I turned on my PS5 last night, and it showed the logo, and then the gray screen with the light beams, and then … nothing. It just sat there. I thought at first it was totally frozen. But the bottom menu still showed up. I tried switching accounts, and then everything showed up like normal. I switched back to my account, and everything was normal again. I can’t find reference to this bug anywhere. Anyone know what happened or how to prevent it in the future?

Usually, I like to play games with followers or companions. In fact, I normally max out my slots. But once in a while, I am without a follower for one reason or another, and do like not having to constantly keep track of NPCs and check to make sure they are okay, not glitching, not stuck, etc. Does anyone here have a strong preference for playing without followers? If so, what do you like about it?

Do you play video game characters that have a different sex than you? If so, why or why not, if you feel like sharing? I do this about half the time. I like looking at a wide variety of character models and dressing them.

Sometimes in games, there will be a rare occasion where you’ll approach an enemy faction NPC, and they will not be aggressive. They may engage in dialogue, and you might have an option to kill or spare them. What do you usually do, and why? Usually unless they give me a compelling reason to kill them, I leave them alone. I figure they’ve already shown themselves to be exceptional in some manner, and if they don’t get in my way, I don’t want to get in theirs.

Anyone happen to know if I uninstall DA Inquisition from PS5, will my save files be okay for later use?

How do you decide which followers to bring on which quests? Do you pick them based on their interests and background? Their likelihood of interesting dialogue? Whether they will agree with your decisions? Simply how long it’s been since they were in rotation? Tactical reasons?

Who are some of your favorite Mass Effect companions? Mine include Garrus, Tali, EDI, Liara, Jack, Miranda, Thane, Legion, Mordin, and Wrex.

What is the best approach for a conscientious player to play an “evil” character in an MMO? My brother mentioned that he usually tells people OOC in games to let him know if he’s gone too far. He wants to make sure everyone is having fun, even when he’s doing messed up stuff IC.

When playing an MMO, what is your goal? Level up as high as you can? Explore as much as possible? Socialize? Gain political or economic clout? Just chill out and escape ordinary life?

What was your record for most games played (not necessarily completed) in a year?

I’ve noticed that when people discuss “immersion,” they are not always referring to the same thing. Usually, when I use this word, I mean “feeling like I am present in the game universe, like I am actually there.” But sometimes I see people use it to mean “emotionally invested in the game universe.” When people don’t realize they are using the same word with totally different meanings, confusion and miscommunication can ensue. When you use the term “immersion,” what is its definition for you?

Are there any devs that have gone out of business that you wish would be resurrected?

What game have you spent the most time playing in 2021? I am pretty sure for me it has been Oblivion.
