  1. I have dreamt incessantly about every FPS game I have ever played, and often ones that have never existed, and I love it. Last night thought I dreamt literally all night I was trying to fix the botched decision I made at the end of Spec Ops: The Line.
  2. If you can't perceive the timeless brilliance of Tetris' plot and characters, you just aren't paying attention. The L-shape is my favourite, out to destroy every attempt to construct greatness. A mastermind villain. And poor zigzag always tries to help--but it's too little, too late =D
  3. Yes, no spoilers please, but now I’m curious and I wonder if I will be able to guess the moment when I eventually get to play it.
  4. I don't think I've seen you around here before; welcome (if you're new, and nice to meet you otherwise). TLOU is one of the most amazing games I have ever played, and one of the best-written stories I've ever experienced, full stop.
  5. Welcome to the forum. Like some of the others here, I also don’t really get into achievements, but I can understand why some gamers find them compelling.
  6. Why don't you like the Fallout franchise?
  7. Actually, I think TLOU might resonate with you. I think you’d get Joel and his ultimate decision, and wouldn’t have any ethical issues with what he does.
  8. I nominate @Alexander. , who rapidly has become a core participant with thoughtful comments and questions.
  9. What games have you played that change how you feel about most other games you play? For example, I’m playing Spec Ops: The Line right now, and it has made me realize just how strange it is that we “shoot first, ask questions never” with most enemies in the vast majority of the games we play.
  10. What genre of games do you think has evolved and changed most noticeably over the years you have been gaming, and in what ways? For me, I would say that FPS games have changed the most; when I was a kid, they had only the most bare-bones plots, but now, games like BioShock and Spec Ops: The Line have amazed me with their solid narratives underpinning the action.
  11. How many hours do you need to put into a game before you feel emotionally invested in it? For me, it can vary anywhere from a couple hours to twenty or more, depending on how long it takes for something in-game to grab me (although with TLOU, it was just minutes).
  12. After you buy your next generation console, be it a PS5 or Xbox Series X, what do you think will be the very first games you purchase? I’m assuming PS5 will play almost all PS4 games, so for me it will be catching up on PS4 games I’ve missed, likely starting with The Outer Worlds, TLOU II, and RDR2.
  13. What video game do you have the largest number of complete playthroughs (for open world games, this counts as the main quest line) on, and how many have you made? So far, for me it is probably Fallout New Vegas, which I have played through three times.
  14. That would be awesome if you did that! And indeed, it can be really hard for me to try and explain what I liked or disliked about a game without going into spoiler details regarding plot and characters in most cases.
  15. I agree that a price up to $599 seems likely. The only thing I think would suppress that down to $500 or so would be reduced demand because of economi c issues.
  16. whenever I’m playing a game which keeps track of my hours of play and I glance at it, I am often shocked by just how much time I have spent playing.
  17. If a multiplayer game is lagging or crashing, I usually try to log out and quit playing and come back to try again later, because nothing good can come of continuing. If a single player game is crashing because it is buggy, I look online for solutions or just reboot and avoid the thing that triggered it if possible.
  18. I won’t be able to play it for a long time since I don’t have a compatible system, so I am trying to avoid spoilers, but it great to read that you are liking it thus far—I think I trust your opinion since we’ve had some discussions about the first game. I’ll look forward to your review, especially if you can keep the spoilers below the cut so I can read a spoiler-free section 🙂
  19. I've been curious about Life is Strange for a long time, so I'll be interested what you think of it.
  20. That's a great question, and I'm somewhat ashamed to say I literally don't have an answer because I know so little about those systems. What single game would you recommend for each?
  21. I think I am probably in the last 25% or so of the first game (for the first time), and am already super stoked to get RDR2, so it is great reading so consistently on here that it lives up to the hype.
  22. I'm almost certain that it was a PC of some sort, as my dad was very anti-Mac.
  23. I really can only describe myself as an "average" gamer, and I'm just guessing that's what I am.
  24. Spec Ops: The Line, probably a few nights from finishing it, and already looking forward to playing through it again and picking up more than I did the first time.
  25. It was some kind of game with a maze which was made out of text on an old computer with a green screen which I think was known as a Z-100.
