I found the ending of the original BioShock (I got the happy ending) very satisfying, and I also love the ending of the BioShock Infinite main game (with mixed feelings but a lot of respect for the DLC ending). I love the ending of TLOU as well, particularly when it is considered in conjunction with the Left Behind DLC.

I’ve never beaten everyone at the table in RDR at poker without cheating. Has anybody here successfully done so, and if so, how long did it take in terms of real life time to bankrupt everyone at the table?

In another thread, @Crazycrab mentioned hating Delphine in Skyrim as much as I do. She's technically a protagonist in the game who is on your side until you refuse to commit murder at her behest, but I always got the impression the developers thought she was overall a righteous character. What other video game protagonists do you hate?

Has anyone here been playing the main quest line of a game for years without finishing? If so, what game, and why haven’t you finished it yet?

Do we have any modders here? If so, what games do you make mods for?

While playing Spec Ops: The Line, I’ve been consciously just playing through a couple or several checkpoints per session so that the game isn’t over right away since it is so short. It got me wondering what games people here just blazed through and finished in a matter of days or hours?

In-game situations where you wish there was a “third option?”

I summoned my dragon and roasted her alive for 15 minutes continuously, lol. Too bad she can't be killed. I love that you hate this bitch as much as I do. -
What side do you prefer in the Skyrim Dawnguard DLC?
StaceyPowers replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
This is pretty much how I feel about the Forsworn situation in the Reach, albeit the oppressors' motives are based in pure greed. Great analysis--and we seem to share a lot of sensibilities with ethical outlooks, I've noticed. -
I sometimes ignore some of the skill trees in Skyrim and don’t realize how awesome some of the perks are for some of the skills which aren’t my primary ones (like the cool archery perks I discovered last night for adding zoom and slowing time). What are some of your favorite perks?

Night! It is quiet, dark, my pain issues are down, and it fights my anxiety before bed to help me sleep.

@Alexander. made a thread about gaming during day vs. night, and I game at night in large part to screen out bright light, environment noises, pain issues, and other distractions which are more prominent during the day. It made me curious what else other people here do to try and screen out distractions while gaming to make your experience more immersive?

While I swear people are lying around asleep and unprotected in Skyrim all over the place, when I deliberately need to go find them as a vampire for the first time, it seems like nobody ever sleeps and/or I keep getting thrown out of houses for trespassing. What are your preferred spots to feed as a vampire in Skyrim?
-
I just became a vampire in Dawnguard in Skyrim for the first time, and so far, it seems a lot more useful than becoming a werewolf, though there are obvious detractors what with the daylight issue. Did anyone else here choose to become a vampire, and did you ultimately end up liking or disliking it?
-
@Shagger was mentioning in another thread that he feels that in Dawnguard in Skyrim, the vampires are not justified, but the Vigilants are wrong in their approach, and that there is probably a better option/solution that neither side has considered or accepted. I feel the exact same way about the Forsworn in the Reach, but of course there is no option to find a peaceful solution. Wondering what similar situations in this or other games other folks here wish there was a "third option"/peaceful resolution possible for.

I have one werewolf character in Skyrim, but I almost never use my “powers,” because it always seems like I just die because I am forced to melee fight and cannot use any potions to heal. Does anyone like the werewolf powers, and if so, what do you recommend for getting better use out of them?
-
I just started the main quest line in the Dawnguard DLC in Skyrim, and have wound up siding with the vampires simply because I can’t stand Stendarr—but neither side really seems all that appealing or easy to empathize with. For those who have played Dawnguard, which side do you usually prefer, and why?

I don’t think I’ve ever asked before, what MMOs does everyone here play, if any? I used to play MUDs, but I’m not actively playing any MMOs these days.

What game had you excited and went beyond your expectations?
StaceyPowers replied to The Blackangel's topic in Video Games
I have been curious about this game since reading a bit about it a few months back, and your review is amazing, detailed, and definitely enough to convince me that this needs to be on my to-play list. This post from you absolutely made my week, my month, maybe my year as a member of this community. It is very rare to see this kind of gracious, thoughtful, fair and balanced outlook and interaction from someone in an online forum. You and @The Blackangel are both a big part of what makes this place special. -
Quick! A zombie has just entered the room with you that you are in now. How will you kill it or escape?

If you could only have one Skyrim follower for the rest of forever, who would you choose and why?

If I were being offered an amount that could not only change my life for the better but other peoples’ (i.e. billions for me to distribute), I would probably feel obligated to accept the offer and give up gaming. But for a smaller amount like a million, it wouldn’t be worth it to me to give up one of the things I enjoy most, especially since I am disabled and competing options are limited (plus, I can’t really imagine giving up BioShock forever).
