it's based on the engine of Mafia 3, got no issues with that at all, the issue is that they modified lot of storyline events, characters faces, characters voices, lot of missions, interiors and much more, which makes it not even close to the original game at all

Did you notice that cheat codes aren't a thing anymore?
Patrik replied to Patrik's topic in Gaming Forum
well, cheat codes were a thing in singleplayer games, i don't think that any company would put microtransactions on an offline game, because trainers exist for a reason -
Remaking a game isn't always going to satisfy the players. 1- Mafia 1 Remake : Lot of modifications that make you feel that you aren't playing the original game with its own unique vibe at all, i'm not saying it's bad, i'm saying that it shouldn't be called a Mafia 1 Remake at all but something else. 2- GTA San Andreas : this one is pretty complicated, they kind of modified the Xbox port and released it for mobile then in Windows store later, Xbox port was fine, but the ported games weren't, glowy bad textures, peds and cars, lot of bugs ( speedrunners managed to save 3 hours in their speedruns thanks to a bug in this version lol) 3- Resident Evil 4 HD Edition : the only issue (but the most annoying one) in this, is that when your PC isn't completely capable of running it at 60 FPS, it will play the game in slow motion instead lol, there is a patch for that, but it adds more bugs....

Back in the days when a combination of gibberish words used to activate a cheat that could help you advance in the game's progress or have fun messing up with things. They still exist in few modern games but lot fewer than before. Does anyone miss the cheats code culture or noticed that they disappeared?

I said that because the R7 2700 isn't a new CPU but should be capable of gaming for gaming just fine, that's why, being a Ryzen doesn't always mean it's the best possible as it can still be outperformed by a Ryzen 5 2600x

I did a 1v6 clutch alone, you could imagine how my heart was beating, hands shaking and my head sweating, i never thought i would be able to do it, but i actually did it lol

Being able to visit locations in games, if it was real.
Patrik replied to Joshua Farrell's topic in Gaming Forum
I personally would visit Los Santos ( from GTA San Andreas, it actually exists in the states lol, it's just harder for me to get there ) -
Do you mind when games force you to make unethical choices?
Patrik replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I have experienced the same in many games before, but since those decisions were a part of the game and were a must to proceed in the game, i had no other choice, sometimes you have to accept the game with its good and bad sides. -
I personally would just to play my favorite exclusives (God of War, Mortal Kombat and some old PS2 titles), other than that, i'm not really a fan of consoles at all

The Logitech G502 is a decent mouse for the money for people that might be interested in getting something for their competitive sessions 😉

I don't think there is any around here, Gaming on Linux is a pretty rare thing (even if it exists)

Stupid mistakes you’ve made in games that cost you big?
Patrik replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
In GTA 4, i killed Francis Mcreary instead of the other alcoholic brother (that helps in literally nothing) when Francis could give me the feature that makes me remove 3 Wanted stars by just calling him :( -
How do you feel about enemies sneaking up on you from behind?
Patrik replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
This reminds me on Resident Evil 4, the chainsaw guy in the abandoned cabins, he used to give me lot of jumpscares lol, but that's not cool at all as he keeps changing spawn points so it's hard to predict his place -
Pretty annoying if you ask me, it's fun to keep killing them, but killing the same damn character again and again? Pretty bad, game all based on pew pew isn't fun at all

Video game moments that surprised you the most?
Patrik replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Back when CJ found out that Big Smoke and Ryder were traitors but not closer friends to the family as he thought, damn... It could be lot cooler if they sticked to the storyline to the end and didn't choose to be traitors 😞 -
Do games push loot boxes and micro-transactions too much?
Patrik replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I actually thought that these exist only in Battle Royale games lol, pure waste of money, spending lot of bucks to get useless items, one more reason to not watch some youtubers... -
Unfortunately i wasn't born when they are a normal thing to own :(, but i still remember owning something "Medal of Honor" related, it was in french

What is the longest session you have had when playing video games?
Patrik replied to DudeThatsErin's topic in Gaming Forum
It was around 6 hours no stop (not even a single trip to the toilet), it was night and i was farming my k/d because annoying heavy vehicles users weren't around -
What's the best gaming deal you've ever gotten??
Patrik replied to MaverickJaxson's topic in Gaming Forum
Not a game but a GPU, managed to get a used AMD RX 480 4GB for only 85$ even if GPU's are expensive during the pandemic and the existence of shortage in stocks! -
I share only stuff that's gaming related only when it's something unusual or some sick memes (that are hard to find these days, cringe invaded social media..)
-
Yes i personally do, especially if the storyline is dark too, that just makes the game weather even cooler.
