I downloaded this game on Gamepass a while back because I though the art style looked really interesting, but I never ended up actually playing it. Does't sound like I'm missing a whole lot, but I might give it another go.

One of my least favorites are probably forced stealth missions in games where stealth is otherwise optional. I don't mind stealth in games where the whole game is based around it, like Splinter Cell for example, but in games where I have the option to run and gun, I never go for stealth.

Kind of, I have sort of an upstairs living room/game room/home office on the second floor of my house. I have all my games and consoles there, my desk and PC, my CRT-TV for my retro consoles, as well as a larger TV for the modern consoles. I also have all my guitars and music gear there. Basically all the stuff my wife doesn't want anywhere else in the house shoved into one room! I'm very happy with it though.

I put very little stock in rumors in general, I prefer to wait for actual announcements. Like recently all of Reddit shit itself over rumors that Xbox was shutting down. People were actually selling their consoles because they were somehow convinced they would be nothing but paperweights in a matter of weeks. What ended up happening? Absolutely nothing. Well, not nothing, I guess Xbox did end up shutting down several studios a little while later, but according to the rumors, the whole Xbox brand was going to implode.

There are defintely games I own multiple copies of, mainly because they're older games that are rereleased/remastered on newer systems. Then there's Diablo 3. I own Diablo 3 on every single platform it has been released on, 8 copies in total. Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Switch, and 3 different copies on PC. I really like Diablo 3.

Not really what the thread is about, but Spec Ops: The Line has some really interesting loading screen tips. If you haven't play Spec Ops: The Line, it's basically a game about American soldiers comitting war crimes in the middle east. It starts off like any other military shooter, and the loading screen tips are normal things like "Press X to reload" and stuff like that, but as the game progresses it starts making you feel bad about the things you are doing, saying things like "Do you feel like a hero yet?" and "The US military does not condone the killing of unarmed combatants. But this isn't real, so why should you care?" It's a really great game that I recommend playing, even though it makes you feel sad and guilty.

100%. If a game has an optional crafting mechanic, odds are I'm not gonna touch it. Not every game needs to have crafting in it.

I tried several times to get into Deathloop, but it didn't quite click with me. A shame really, because I really like the concept and the visual style. I beat the Saints Row reboot, and am currently working on completing it 100%. I'm at least doing all the side activities to make all the districts purple, but if the game is gonna make me search the whole city for every collectible for it to give me 100% I'm not going there. I already know I'm not gonna go for all the trophies, because some of them seem really tedious.

I don't know about obscure, but I feel like no one I know has played or even heard about Paradise Killer. I absolutely adore that game, the soundtrack is amazing, and the visuals have an awesome sort of vaporwave aesthetic. I highly recommend playing it.

Hades has quite a few different weapons to choose from, but probably 90-95% of my play time in that game has been with the twin fists. That shit is my jam.

The initial trailer they showed for this game looked really interesting...then they revealed it was a hero shooter. I really liked Overwatch when it first came out, but that was 8 years ago. At this point, I really could not care less about hero shooters.

For me, it might also be 2010, but for different reasons. Mine doesn't really have anything to do with games released that year, but 2010 was the year I started playing World of Warcraft. I don't play it any longer, but that first year was an absolutely magical experience. I had played other MMOs before, mainly Guild Wars, but WoW was an entirely different experience. I completely fell in love with the world, and spent all most all of my summer vacation that year in Azeroth. I would love to be able to experience that again for the first time.

At least in recent years, I'm gonna have to go with Destiny 2. It's a very solid shooter, and you can get a ton of value out of it without spending anything.

Wireless all the way baby. The convenience gained from wireless greatly outweighs the loss of sound quality in 99% of usecases. The only exception for me is when I'm listening to records on my turntable. Playing music from an analog vinyl record, into an analog amplifier, and then pump it all into wireless digital headphones would kind of defeat the purpose if you ask me.

I'm rarely away from home for more than a week at a time, but if I'm going somewhere where I know I'm gonna have a lot of downtime, I will usually bring my handheld emulator so I can play GBA games.

After watching the Fallout TV show I got a real craving for playing a Fallout game again, so I played through New Vegas, which I had never actually played again. I played through the whole main game and loved it, as well as the Old World Blues and Honest Hearts expansions. I also got about halfway through Dead Money, but to be honest I did not find it enjoyable at all, so I just kinda fell off after a while. I also picked up a few games on the Steam summer sale, among them a game called Bear & Breakfast that I've really been enjoying. It's a nice litte cozy game where you, as the name suggests, play as a bear that runs a bed & breakfast in the woods. Lastly, I picked up Saints Row (2022) on the PS5 summer sale. I've always been a big fan of the Saints Row series, so I was very excited when the reboot was gonna come out, but I heard it was really bad, so I didn't end up buying it at release. It was now on sale for like 8 Euro, so I thought it was worth checking it out, and I'm actually really enjoying it so far. It plays almost exactly like every other Saints Row game, but in a new setting.

It's difficult to pick one, but Remedy is definitely up there for me. I'm a huge fan of Alan Wake, and I've loved everything they've put out. I even really liked Quantum Break, even though pretty much no one else did.

I still have every single console and video game I have ever bought, maybe with exception of one red-ringed 360. I'm somewhat of a collector/hoarder, and keep all my old consoles hooked up to a CRT in my upstairs lounge/office.

It definitely used to be the Switch, but I haven't really brought it with me anywhere in a while. The thing I've brought with me more frequently the last few years is my Anbernic RG351M handheld emulator. It can play pretty much any system up to the PS1, but the thing I've used it for like 99% of the time is GBA emulation. The screen on it is the perfect aspect ratio for GBA, and the GBA has such a vast and excellent library of games to choose from. The last thing I played on it was Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, but the game I've played the most by far is Tetris Worlds.

I would definitely recommend it! It's a great game now, in my opinion at least. I've played it on the PS5 and had zero technical issues.

I've been playing a bunch of different stuff lately. I bought Helldivers 2 last week, and despite some connection and matchmaking issues, my friend and I have been having a blast playing it. I tried playing the game alone, but just kept dying over and over, so I would definitely recommend playing with friends. I also recently beat Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. A great expansion to a great game in my opinion. I've always though Cyberpunk was a great game, even though I will admit it had some issues at launch. Also, I got a steering wheel with pedals for Christmas, so I've been playing a bunch of racing games. Mostly Forza Motorsport and Grid: Legends, but also some F1 23, and lately a bit of WRC 23. I've always been a fan of racing games, but a proper steering wheel makes it sooo much more fun. Lastly, I've been playing a bunch of Brotato on my laptop. It's scratching the exact same itch that Vampire Survivors did for me, I love these kinds of games.

Not sure if you would count it as a collectible, but my favorite part of my collection is my Playstation sign. I got it from a local DVD/music/game shop when they were shutting down.

Depends entirely on your distance from the screen. My PC monitors are only 24", but since I sit quite close to them, I personally think it's fine. The main TV in the living room is 55", which also used to be fine, but since my wife and I moved into a new house a few months ago, I find that the couch is now a little too far away from the TV for the 55" to be large enough. I struggled playing Starfield on it because I had a hard time reading pretty much any text. I will definitely be looking to upgrade to a 65" in the near future.
