The only two game soundtracks I find myself listening to regularly are Undertale and Paradise Killer, both are just absolutely excellent.

Totally agree, I love Most Wanted 2005. I remember being super disappointed when the 2013 version came out and had absolutely nothing to do with the original. I though it was gonna be a remake when I first heard of it. If you haven't played it, I highly recommend checking out Unbound. It's probably my favorite NFS game since Most Wanted. Personally I've basically only been playing Starfield for the past month, and I love it. I do kind of miss the open world exploration element of previous Bethesda games, but I'm still having a really good time with it.

I feel like Tetris Effect was pretty popular when it came out. I personally love Tetris, I've played a tooon of Tetris Worlds for the GBA on my handheld emulator. Hours of addicitve fun!

I'm not entirely clear on the rules, but are Red Bull and Alpha Tauri not allowed to share any research? Clearly they basically share drivers, the only reason I can think of for why the Red Bull car is god tier and the Alpha Tauri car is a shitbox is that it would be against the rules.

Crash Bandicoot 2! I remember that we got our PS1 on a saturday, but my parents didn't realize that we needed a memory card to save the game. We ended up leaving the console running the whole weekend until we could buy a memory card on monday.

I'm playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and I'm really enoying it. My only issue with it is that it does not run at a stable 60 fps on the Xbox Series X, pretty far from it. I heard that this was an issue at launch, but I was hoping that it would have been fixed by the time I got around to playing it. It's not really a big issue with this kind of game, but since buying the current gen consoles I've really gotten used to pretty much only playing at 60 fps.

If he does good at AT the rest of the season, I honestly think Checo should be worried next season...

I'm really happy at the news that Daniel Ricciardo is coming back! Very sad for de Vries obviously, shame he didn't even get to finish his first season, but he has quite a bit of previous experience and has said himself that he didn't want to get treated like a rookie. Clearly Alpha Tauri had higher expectations from him. Danny has been one of my favorite drivers mainly because of his charisma, he really seems like a great buy, so I was pretty sad when McLaren let him go. Really looking forward to seeing him back on the track next weekend!

Welcome to the forum! Happy to see a fellow Wii U apologist.

I just finished up Diablo 4! That is, completed the main campaign, I'll definitely be going back and doing more dungeons and leveling up some more. Next up for me is, at last, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. I bought it from a friend several months ago but haven't had the time to play it until now. I really enjoyed the first game, and from everything I've heard, I think this one is going to be even better!

Let me tell you a little story about two games. One of them is EyeToy: Antigrav for the Playstation 2, released in 2004. The other is Sonic Freeriders for the Xbox 360 Kinect released in 2010. They are both games about riding a hoverboard while using your body to control the action. I'll give you one guess at which one of them functions better. I'm not saying the Kinect is directly to blame for Sonic Freeriders being an unplayable mess, there are definitely some Kinect games that work a lot better, but overall I wouldn't say I was a huge fan of the Kinect.

I'm over two months late with this reply, but hey. I absolutely agree about Max. There's no denying he's an excellent driver. Obviously the Red Bull car is excellent, but Max can still run circles around Checo in the same machinery. That being said, he really is kind of an asshole. The fact that he refused to let Checo though in Brazil last year, when Max was already named champion and Checo still needed the points really says everything you need to know about him. I started following the sport early last year and have mainy been a Leclerc fan, but since he joined Aston Martin I've really become a big fan of Alonso. He just seems like such a genuinely nice guy, always grateful to his team. I was also really impressed with McLaren during sundays race at Silverstone. Really hope they can keep this kind of performance up.

I'm gonna go with Defiance, just because I doubt anybody else is going to. I played this game a lot when it first came out on the 360, and I loved it. Back then I thought the idea of an MMO on console was awesome, I hadn't really played anything like it before. The gameplay was not much to write home about, it was basically your standard third person shooter, but I remember it feeling pretty solid. I was a member of a different video game forum at the time, which has since sadly gone defunct, and I remeber us recording a podcast episode all about Defiance. When I say podcast, I mean a youtube video with a static image and an audio track of four dudes with bad microphones that maybe 5-10 people listened to. Good times. Defiance was also supposed to be this cross media sensation, with a TV show releasing at the same time as the game. There wasn't really any way to watch the show in my country, but I think I pirated the first episode. I don't recall it being very good.

Continuing on the thread of watching mostly kids movies, my wife and I went to see the new Little Mermaid remake yesterday, and I have to say i was positively surprised. After really disliking the Lion King and Mulan remakes I really wasn't expecting much, but I though it was pretty true to the original, and the casting was pretty excellent. I thought Melissa McCarthy did a great performance as Ursula.

June 2023 is looking to be a very exciting month for gaming
Anders replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
For me it's all about Diablo 4. Diablo 3 is probably one of my all time favorite games, so I can't wait. -
I feel like this might be a hot take, but I really love Cyberpunk 2077. Sure, it had it's share of issues when it first launch, but I still really liked it. That was however on a PC that was not well equipped to run the game, but when I played it again on the PS5 I loved every second. I love the world, the lore, the characters, the gameplay, basically everything. It's also the only game where a love interest storyline has genuinely made me feel something.

Wow, I honestly don't think I've ever seen anyone talk shit about Burnout Paradise before. I really liked that game personally, and it was pretty well recieved critically as well. The original is sitting at 88 on Metacritic. My personal favorite of the franchise is Burnout Legends on the PSP, played the shit out of that game back in the day.

Which apps do you use on a daily basis?
Anders replied to aerodynamik's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I'm quite addicted to Reddit, and have been for the past 10 years or so, so I use the app Bacon Reader absolutely every day. -
Being Norwegian, I originally learned mostly British english in school, but the most effective learning tool for me was watching movies and TV-shows and playing video games. Most of those were in American english, so that's mostly why I've adopted the American style of writing.

Not technically the last movie I watched, but I recently watched Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and I really enjoyed it. It's a perfect example of a movie that is meant for kids, is still enjoyable for adults. The same can not be said for The Emoji Movie, which I also watched recently for some reason. That movie had exactly one funny joke (in my opinion), and it was in the first 5 minutes. Puss in Boots however was enjoyable all the way through, had some genuinely funny moments, and I really loved the animation style. Reminded me a lot of Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse

There have probably been other topics about this before, but I figure another couldn't hurt. Are y'all into collecting video games, or do you just buy your games digitally nowadays? Personally I do of course occasionally buy digital games, but there really is something about having physical copies. I've also gotten way more into going back and buying old games and consoles over the last few years. For example, I never had an N64 growing up, we had a PS1 instead. So a few years ago, I bought an N64 with a few games from my sister in law, and that set of a chain reaction that ended up with me owning about 30 N64 games a year later. I've also bough a lot of PS2 games the last few years. It's one of my favorite consoles of all time, and I think now is a great time to collect for it, since it's not quite old enough where people realize some games might have value, so you can usually pick them up quite cheap. I also love collecting any old consoles, handhelds and accessories, sometimes to the frustration of my wife. Somewhat understandable when I own two, three or even four of some consoles. What is your favorite thing to collect?

I'm deep into Tears of the Kingdom, and I'm loving it so far. It's basically more of Breath of the Wild, which is one of my favorite games of all time, so I'm very happy. Both today and tomorrow are national holidays here in Norway, and my wife is out of town, so I'm pretty much playing it all day, every day at the moment

I absolutely agree. The only soulsborn game I've spent any siginicant amount of time with is Elden Ring, and although I did enjoy what I played of it, I definitely think it's way overrated. I mean, I do see why people think it's a good game, but people talk about it like it's the second coming of Jesus and the best game that's ever been made. Most of the time I played it was spent doing the same things over and over again to farm XP, just so I could level up enough to not die in two hits. The game does not explain anything at all to you, so you have to look up what pretty much every item you pick up does. I won't comment to much on the story, but as far as I got, there wasn't much story to be had. I've never been a fan of extreme difficulty in games. I'm fine with a bit of a challenge, but having to replay the same boss fight 20-30 times is just excruciating to me. Whenever I try saying that to a soulsborn fan however, the answer is always the same: "Git gud"

Just finished Resident Evil 4 Remake, and I absolutely loved it. I've never been a fan of the RE franchise, the only other games I've played at all is a few hours of Revelations on the 3DS and maybe an hour of the remake of 2, but I really enjoyed my time with 4. Makes me want to get the original for PS2 or Wii (I sadly don't own a Gamecube) just to see how it compares.
