There is a reason people use games as a getaway from the real life. We try to do things that seem hard hard to do or challenging in real life. So it’s not just about irresponsibility, but we want to do things that we are not able to do in life when we play games.

I can’t even wait to get home to play it. If possible I will connect right there where I bought it and start playing. I bought it with my hard earned money, I don’t know why I will keep it boxed up again.

I try my best not to make use of any cheat, at most I will look for hints. Whenever I use cheats I feel like it’s not my own achievement and I don’t like that feeling.

When you get better at anything and you start winning, it is obvious that you start building confidence in yourself. Whenever I want to play PES with my friends especially, there is this confidence I have. First of all I am good at it, so it’s a challenge for them to win me. So this gives me some kind of boost. Do you think getting better and winning give more confidence?

There are many video games characters that you cannot help but feel sorry for. They are lonely and have no one to relate with. I will choose Chell from the portal games. She had nothing but AI for company, who even made attempts to kill her a few times. Who would you say is the loneliest game character?

Some of my friends are jovial, but when it comes to gaming they become too serious. They do not smile and make jokes, they are so fixated on their games and how they will win. I did not really like this, but I’ve come to understand that everyone with their attitude towards gaming. When you play, are you the overly serious type?

During the weekend I can go about an hour playing games, and sometimes it can go higher than that if I am playing multiplayer. This only happened during the weekends though, I can’t afford that during weekdays. You longest gaming session was how long?

Games that do not really feature multiplayer, like super Mario and Tetris. I play them on my own always.

I have lost count of the number of games I have mispronounced. We basically just pronounce it what everyone does, whether it is right or not. I know what I used to call Pokémon before I heard the right pronunciation, though I wells really young then.

Mortal Kombat! I loved using Lu Kang and subzero a lot. Now that I think about it, I was way too young for the game. But it had no real effect on me.

I don’t understand the use of cheats, especially when you play multiplayer and tournaments. I find people that do so annoying, it is fine if it used in single player mode. But multiplayer is a capital No.

I usually put it off for some days before I get back to it. By then I will be able to approach it with a fresh mindset. One thing I find hard to do is to rush through a game even though it’s stressing me out.

That has been a massive change and improvement if we are to compare 50 years ago and now. So I believe there will be the same change and even greater one in the next 50 years.

It was a multiplayer game with my friends, we were playing FIFA. I was down one goal in the final fifteen game minutes, but eventually won. When I scored the last goal in the last seconds, I pulled my shirt and did a knee sliding celebration in the living room. Remembering it always make me laugh.

I would leave my mission and start shooting randomly in GTA. It used to be fun for me those days though, but now I don’t think I can do that anymore. I know it’s just a game but…

Watching professional players and learning from them is so underrated. Although you do not necessarily have to copy all their tactics, you can learn what works and what does not and use it to implement your own strategies.

Yeah while I would agree with you to a certain degree, there is just not much to conclude on in a demo. Even many games that seems so good in demo later end up to be a disappointment.

Ny roommate gets bored easily these days. I often find find him pausing what he is playing to scroll through his phone. He does it when we play multiplayer games as well. It’s obvious that he has lost the excitement he used to have. What do you think can help revive the excitement?

A few times we have started games and for one reason or another we have to neglect the games halfway. Then you look back at these games and you are even glad you stopped playing them. For me it’s call of duty. I’m just tired of war games.

Recently I learned that it is better to be a proactive gamer than reactive. Acting first will always give you an edge over reacting to your opponent’s actions. This has helped me to win more duels compared to when I mostly depended on opponents actions. What tips have helped you improve your gaming skills?

Surely, there are times when you suddenly get stuck in a particular level and you can’t seem to get through. I just quit the game and give it a few hours or days. Or I seek ideas from those that have completed the game how they did it, whether online or offline. What do you do when games get really tough?
