  1. There is a reason even developers seek gamers suggestions on released games. Their aim is to satisfy us. In a situation where the majority have the same complaints then they will know where they went wrong. Most times it is not about the producers or manufacturers, it is all about the end users. So developers need to work with these ones in mind and not just on what they feel is right.
  2. PCs have more processing power and can run games at higher frame rates. The drawback to it is the cost. Console is definitely cheaper, but does not have the same performance as a high end PC. If you want the best gaming experience where money is not a hinderance, PC it should be.
  3. Having to upgrade to the latest versions. I know that no one is being forced to, but subtly we have no choice. IOS smartphones from X series and below will soon no longer support WhatsApp. So we have no choice but to get the latest versions. Same with android, they would start lagging and overheating. If only I can use my device for as long as I wish.
  4. There is a clear difference between the two, you will know when you use both. Curved monitors reduces eye strain and provides a more natural field of view for the human eye. So if your pocket allows it you can go for it. You will surely get your money’s worth.
  5. I use google. Brave was introduced to me because it is an avenue to earn money as well, but I just didn’t feel it. I’m now so used to google that any other browser does not feel right.
  6. To me it is big and heavy. The bigger screen is an advantage though provided it has some sort of mini controllers on its own. But since it does not, I always say that the best thing to use iPads for is to watch movies.
  7. My palms are soft, so I feel pains when I play games for long especially on my thumbs. So I shift my thumbs to the middle, it helps me have a firm grip on the controller.
  8. Ps 5 certainly. I want to get my hands on the dual sense controllers specifically. I’ve heard a lot of stories about how unique and adaptive it is.
  9. Horizontal always, it seems as if any small movement or wind will knock it over. Can’t take that risk. Also, I move my controllers while playing, so it could be knocked over easily
  10. Wherever the mood hits me, when I am at home the computer it is. But when I’m far from home then my mobile to the rescue. There is no doubt though that the computer is more enjoyable.
  11. I suppose it is the one I have that I will choose. I don’t have the luxury of having more than one, so Play Station it is always. Besides it is more than enough for me actually.
  12. Mine was a controller. The wire was coming off so I tired to tie it back together. I ended up destroying it completely, had to get another. I actually had a good laugh at myself, never to start what I cannot finish.
  13. I never even think of it, but now that you mention it maybe I will pay attention. There are some moments that are definitely clip worthy. I just focus on my game.
  14. Multiplayer games are always interesting and exciting, whether online or offline. You know that you are competing with a human like you. The best ones are those that allows you to chat with those you are playing with, just wonderful.
  15. I suppose playing the game helps to reduce your anger? It’s wonderful that you found a way to work with that side of yours. Sometimes when I need to think critically and make a decision, I play Tetris. It refreshes my brain and allow me think effectively.
  16. And that is largely due to the fact that boys play games a lot more than girls. It keeps your vital senses active and engaged, which strengthens your coordination. Hence most of what gamers engage in seems to yield positive results.
  17. It’s not an addiction to you. It becomes so when you have tasks and activities that you need to get done, but games interfere with them. You find it hard to concentrate on activities during the day, without thinking of the next arcade you want to complete. That right there is addiction.
  18. I think that is normal for anyone to do. Not just games, when I set up profiles for forums I project them as what I am offline. My favorite colors, my skin tone and whatever I really fancy; as much as possible I portray them online.
  19. COD, but only with my homies and friends. When they are gone I go back to my daily routine of work and sleep. This year has had a lot of decline when it comes to games.
  20. He has a problem with shooting police, but not others in the game. Well it better be speculation and not true, whether police or anyone else it’s violent nonetheless. Besides I don’t understand, bad in what way? What is the basis for his view? What exactly makes it bad?
  21. First of all, no offense taken. I even see this an opportunity to have a wider perspective. The games are not to blame (nor books, movies). Rather, the easy access to them. Of the three options: 1. GTA being banned is out of it, doesn’t need further explanation. 2. The kid is not allowed to play, excellent. But he has such easy access to the firearm? One thing I always say about firearms is that they are self-manualled (permit me to use that word). If a five year old sees it, he knows where to hold, in few seconds he’ll discern there is a trigger to pull and to point as well. Like you said, if he had used it on himself the grandmother would have a lot of questions to answer. 3. Right there is the answer. Unless an eight year old could legally get a gun and register it. That incident would never have happened if there was no EASY ACCESS to the firearm. I don’t blame the game or producers, but the fact that kids engage in them. From the experience you gave, we can’t blame the gun. But the easy access to it. That is why they are kids, they don’t get to decide what to wear, when to sleep, what to play. A kid that is exposed to entertainment rated above his age; whatever results from it, the entertainment medium is not to blame. This has been insightful, really.
  22. You made some valid points. Video games truly gets all the blame, while books and movies pose the same threat. But this still validates my point. We should remember that kids imitate what they see and there is the risk of terming it as normal. Its true that when they become adults they won’t necessarily engage in this activities they play, but I don’t want to start mentioning instances when teenagers do unthinkable and horrible things…which they played as a game. In the end, it is all in the hands of parents. There are reasons the restrictions are there, and it would surely make things better as compared to without.
  23. No one has it all easy. At some points in our lives we face problems, stress, anxiety or depression. When we find ourselves in such situation we can use games to improve our reaction to such situations. Stress can be reduced when we engage in our favorite activities. Therefore playing your favorite games can relieve you to a considerable degree. Playing video games also improves mindfulness. So it can be a form of distraction from what you are going through. At least presently you live in the moment and enjoy it.
  24. Games require quick and precise movement of the hands, hence this increases coordination of the senses involved and fine motor skills. It can improve your reaction time to situations and help you make split second decisions. I have particularly noticed this, my crafts and handwork skills are actually better after I have exerted myself in my favorite games. Do you agree?
  25. We all know or have heard of people that are addicted to video games. Or perhaps you might have been at one point before. There are signs gamers exhibit that shows they are addicted. The most common sign is when gaming starts to interfere with other aspects of your life, such as school, work, or relationships. You cannot think of any other thing apart from the game waiting for you to be played. Other signs include spending excessive amounts of time playing games, feeling restless or irritable when you can't play, and neglecting basic needs like sleep and hygiene in order to continue playing. What else would you add?
