I lift lightweights to maintain a well toned body. I don’t plan to be John Cena but I should look fit to an extent. I can not bear having more fat than muscles. That is why I watch what I eat as well.

What are your thoughts on ads on mobile games? Are they too much?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Mobile
Just pay for the premium version, because that can only happen in free games. When you think about it they need to earn some bucks too to keep the game running at least. Ads are definitely annoying, but it’s either you pay or you endure it. -
Do you feel mobile gaming will get better over time?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Mobile
Well mobile devices are getting more powerful every year. We are now having advanced processors and improved displays. Most importantly, the advent of 5G technology has given a huge boost to mobile gaming. Since it allows for faster download speed and lower latency, mobile gaming will become smoother and more immersive. -
Mobile gaming affords one the opportunity to play games on the go. There are times you’ll be somewhere bored, you can bring out your phone and keep yourself entertained with your favorite game. Mobile phone developers are not making strong GPUs to allow better gaming experience. map I don’t see it dying ever.

My phone heats a lot when I play COD. So I sit right opposite a standing fan and play. I once saw a meme about someone holding his phone in front of the air conditioner and playing. 😅 Anything to allow us enjoy our mobile gaming.

I listen to Afro pop when I play games most of the time. Listening to music and even singing along while playing helps me focus more. It also engages my other senses so I am not easily bored.

Are you okay with Xbox not selling as much as the PS5?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Xbox
Well one has an edge over another in some instances. The ps5 console is more powerful in my own opinion. It also has a more advanced GPU and a solid SSD compared to Xbox. And Xbox will most probably not be able to match PS marketing. -
It was GTA San Andreas on play station 2. I specifically loved racing games so all I basically do is hijack cars and Lorene’s and drive around with no destination in mind. I was so young then that I nearly became addicted. Shooting people? Nope. Driving around aimlessly? Hell yeah!

What's the impact of Social Media on Gaming?
Kennysplash replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
The toxicity and harassment on social media is a lot to write home about. Trolls and toxic players can use social media to harass other players, which can lead to a hostile environment that discourages new players from joining the community. There is also the use of unwarranted foul language that is exchanged by gamers. These altercations are not pleasant to experience. -
Disconnection from the real world I think, but this applies to only problem gamers. There is a little link between gaming and cultural norms as well, and if there is it is mostly portrayed as negative. Our old folks especially can go on to state why it’s bad for individuals and the society, but games is just like the scapegoat. Movies, songs, the news media all have more negative influence than gaming.

The comic you posted up there shows why people seem to choose games as an avenue to escape the problems of the real world. When we are going through tough times we want to hear comforting and soothing words. Words like “you are amazing, you are doing well, good job, fantastic…” But rarely get them (maybe the opposite even) so we seek them in games.

Do you think gaming sharpens memory skills?
Kennysplash replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
Gaming helps to improve working memory. You encounter a lot of rules and you strive to play based on the established rules. This helps a lot in work as well, you are able to perform your tasks with the rules being sharp in your memory. This is something I noticed in myself a long time ago. -
I prefer multiplayer games, that is why I don’t really fancy games that are deeply story oriented. Multiplayer games have a higher replay value. I get different experiences when I play with different kinds of people. There is also this sense of competition and accomplishments it gives me that a single player game does not.

If the graphics in the game is not top notch, then what are we doing? I can’t use my money to purchase a low budget game with poor graphics. It’s either you give the best or nothing at all, and I believe I speak for many.

How do you feel about video games restrictions for minors?
Kennysplash posted a topic in Video Games
There are games that are rated PG 13, I suppose that is the highest age restriction. But even at that I look at these games objectively and realize that even 15 years should not be playing them. Save for few once like racing. But you see GTA and COD and you’ll wonder if they won’t have negative effects and influence on kids that are not matured psychologically. What do you think about this restriction? -
Among old timers it could be. But I can’t so so about Gen Zs. I personally did not like it much because I get bored of it easily. But I did play it frequently then, just for a couple of minutes and I’m thinking of another game to play or something else to do.

Which game can you go back to over and over again and not get tired of?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
Definitely football on PS 4. Most especially if I have guys around that we play against each others. I once played for hours till my thumbs became sore and I felt pain for days. -
What song is currently your favourite to listen to at the moment?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Music
Help me remember to forget; by Passenger. It’s a song I completely relate with as I have a lot of experience I would rather choose to forget. My night is not complete if I don’t listen to the song. -
It was Emma Watson, undisputed. It was one of the reasons I became hooked with Harry Potter in the first place. And as the season came out in subsequent years it didn’t get any better. Till now, it is Emma Watson.

Longman, we had a textbook in secondary school named longman. I was given the nickname because of my towering height. It was a unanimous decision by my classmates.

I played need for speed to a comma then. Then GTA, which I only drive there since I’m not a fan of shooting. I will continue driving around aimlessly just for the thrill of it.

Are you hoping to get any games for Christmas?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Video Games
A Play station 4 probably. I still have my ps 3 and my homies keep telling me I’m outdated. Some of them have ps 5 already, hence the constant teasing. But if the funds keep running far away from me, ps 3 it will continue to be.- 5 replies

Do you trust social media for video game rumours?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Social media remains one of the best place to find news and rumors still, even faster than forums. The deal is just to find a legitimate one that has good reputation. If you believe every social media account you will definitely be misled.- 26 replies
