I played crazy taxi a lot, even on mobile. I’m a fan of racing and driving games, sometime I will hijacker cars on GTA and just be driving round the city forgetting the mission. I am waiting patiently for this release.

Do you tend to buy gaming merchandise clothing?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
I used to have a GTA inscribed face cap while in secondary school. I think it was easier for me to wear then, but now I find it hard to wear such. Not even one of my favorite games’.- 9 replies

What are the best games to play when you are feeling sick/unwell?
Kennysplash replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I don’t even think of games when I’m sick. Where is the strength to grab a controller and sit up straight? I just continue lying down till I get better. -
Ever meet up with a person you met in an online video game?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
This is for core gamers, not those that play games once in a while. If it were to be a hobby of mine that I do on a daily basis I would love to meet fellow enthusiasts as well, but not in gaming. -
Are there games where you skip the story completely?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
The first time I play a game I follow up with the story. It kinda gives me a sneak peek into what I’m getting into, plus I fancy a good background story. But when I’m play after the first two times, there is no need for that anymore. -
What's your gaming resolutions for the new year?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Last year was a low year on gaming for me. I was busy chasing the bag (money), which I eventually didn’t get enough of. This made me miss out on amazing releases especially Baldur Gate. I plan to immerse myself more in gaming this year. -
Do you buy most of your retro games online or in store these days?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I have a community where virtually all of these games are sold. There is no funny activity there, you only pay when the game has been delivered to you and you have tested them. Most times they are fairly used, other times they are brand new. I got my PS3 online, and maybe I’ll go the same route for subsequent purchases. -
Do your old memory cards still have your old saves?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I don’t understand why, but I don’t get to use my memory cards for long. When I pick it up after some time it is already corrupted. So if I happen to see an old memory I won’t even bother… -
Skills that you have improved by playing video games?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I discovered that I am able to concentrate more on tasks that I engage in. When I play games I give it my hundred percent focus and attention. So it’s safe to say that it is having same effect in my daily activities. -
Which game release was the biggest letdown?
Kennysplash replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
Definitely Hogwarts legacy. The HP universes was something else, lots of stuttering and framerate drops. I find it repetitive too, the innovations are quite low. -
What was it like seeing people play video games for the first time?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
When I was in school, a game competition was organized for fun. Everyone was so surprised when the school principal picked a controller and played a racing game with another student. He was not exactly a novice, his skills showed that he plays it often. We were all surprised and excited at the same time. I guess that’s the kind of feeling it emanates. -
No doubt, everyone of us have those games that we just cannot push through to the end. We don’t feel it and we just move on to the next one quickly. But is it something you do often, that it has become consistent? The only game I didn’t see to the end is NFS (most wanted). There are just a lot of missions and levels for a game that can be monotonous. Save for the multiplayer though. Do you have games that you quit halfway? Why?

Do you think the gaming media is affecting gameplay experience?
Kennysplash replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
Would you say that this is in a good or bad way? I just want to know if it’s just me or there are others that see the media’s effect on gaming as negative. It just has done some damage to the amazing and exciting gaming experience we used to have. -
Can playing video games be a form of therapy?
Kennysplash replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
So that what you are using as a therapy does not become another problem, that needs therapy. 😅 Have someone that you are accountable for or that guides you, it might not really work if you undergo it yourself. -
It was way long in the past, can’t really remember the year. I was given a Sega with some cartridges. I was so excited that I called my friends in the neighborhood and we played throughout the festive season. Super Mario was such a single player hit back then.
-
Someone new to gaming approaches you and ask for recommendations on what games to start playing first. I started by playing super Mario on Sega, something non complex. I would advise that too, possibly Tetris as well. From there they can figure out their choice and what to move on to. I would not want to suggest a complex game which can pose a great challenge or leave them confused. What would you do?
-
Say, about 15 years ago there was little about games on the internet. If you are stuck on a level you have to either ask your friends how to go about it or figure it out yourself, which makes it all more exciting. That is totally different now. If stuck, anyone can just go online and watch a few minutes video to learn how to advance. It’s all a search away. Does this not ruin gameplay experience? Besides, we get more snippets of these games online before they are released. Although we can say that it builds anticipation, still it eventually reduces our excitement when we get these games. That’s because we sort of know what to expect, thanks to the media. What is your opinion on the effect of the media on gaming?

How important is storytelling in a video game for you?
Kennysplash replied to svjiminfxv's topic in Video Games
Storylines makes you feel the game, not just play it. You will be well involved, most especially if it’s a story that you can relate with. A good story makes it worthwhile, even exciting. -
That should be $18 to have a few games installed on my PS 3. Yes, not just one game but about three of them. I got them at giveaway prices though, good deal.

Yesterday I played FIFA on playstation. It was actually with friends, since we are much we organized a cup competition. Please don’t ask, I didn’t go far in the comeback.

What's the biggest donation you received during a game stream?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Can streamers make much money? I never really game it much thought, I know many stream games but I didn’t think it’s one avenue to make money. Well I suppose there is no loss in trying it out. But if we are talking about big money, like how much are we looking at? -
How often would you say you make clips when playing a game?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
You made me remember the last time I made a clip. I used it to show a technician the lags I was getting in the game, not really for any kind of show.- 8 replies

Think we'll see midnight release parties again?
Kennysplash replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I remember those kind of parties. There would even be like a demo session that is played by chosen members of the audience. This is just to show a snippet of what is to come. But that is no longer valued today since the media show us everything before the games are released. -
Simulator games involve more of cognitive exertion. You have to think well before you make your next move. You also have to be deeply involved if you would go far in the game. It can be boring sometimes, and not what I can play for long hours. Still I think something I would enjoy. “Myst” is an example, you are stuck on an Island and you need to solve a series of puzzles to escape.
