Real-Life Encounters with Gaming Friends: Share Your Stories
Kennysplash replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
I have not had the privilege of meeting my gamer pals offline. The only ones I have met are my usual friends, that we see each other physically. I so much desire for it though just for a change. I want to know just how it feels like. -
Has becoming an adult changed your gaming habits?
Kennysplash replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
Gone are the days we have the time to play as we like. As we grow older we have more responsibilities, so we can’t afford to spend hours on a daily basis anymore. But we still make out time for it, regardless. -
What would you do if there was no video games?
Kennysplash replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah if you had it and don’t anymore that feeling would have been different. Are you sure work would be the way to go? You need something fun, that can relax you when you are not working. -
My aim is nothing to write home about. That is why I prefer guns that have the target mark on them. Makes it very easy for me, especially to do headshot.

When I first saw harrypotter game I was like, what? I concluded that it will be the most boring game ever, because I didn’t know how swinging wands and murmuring Avada Kedavra could keep anyone interested. I played to prove my point, though it was not as bad as I thought. But it was not exactly great either.

You got that feeling too? Before my dad bought the PS 2 I used to play at at the game house with money. The excitement I had when we eventually had it in our house was heavenly.

Leveraging Technology to Tackle Global Issues
Kennysplash replied to killamch89's topic in Technology & Gadgets
When there was no modern technology, that was what they made use of in the olden days. I’m sure it did the job too, but thankfully we have more effective ways now. I surely don’t think I will have the patience for a bird to relay a message. 😅 -
Yes, and there are players that you have not seen too and probably won’t see. When I play online I chat with them and we banter ourselves. I also have those that I play multiplayer with physically. It makes me associate with those that have the same interest as me.

How Do You Handle Gaming Frustration or Tough Levels?
Kennysplash replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Tough levels don’t frustrate me, before it gets to that I would have quit. It is usually hardware problems and glitches that frustrate me. If it is the game that is hard, I just consider it a challenge that I should overcome and put more effort. -
Difficulty makes the game much more worth it, so I don’t quit when it happens. I can take a break from the game and engage in other activities. By the time I’m back to it I’m with a fresher perspective. But if it is proving too hard, then I’ll pass.

Has in-game chat online put you off using it?
Kennysplash replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Game chats can make the game much more interesting, provided it is not abused. Imagine the banter chats that you could be having. But once I discover that the other person is causing nuisance with it, I disable it. -
There is nothing to report. Humans try to find the easier way out of a lot of challenges, not only gaming. Bypasses will definitely exist, no matter how much it is frowned at.

Silent hill. Though I have never played it, but I witnessed friends do. Scary games are not my thing, the last thing I want is a game I’m playing giving me chills.

Anyone feel they are a worse-than-average gamer?
Kennysplash replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I do know that I am not a seasoned gamer. When the gurus start talking about gaming, I feel like I don’t know much. So I can say I am intermediate, not a pro gamer but not a novice too. -
Actually many games these days have become more mainstream and less challenging. But on the brighter side, it also means that more people can enjoy gaming.

This has been a really controversial topic. It cannot be denied that a lot of jobs have been lost to machines. But many still argue that AI cannot replace humans where it matters the most. The other day I saw a signboard in a construction site that says: “Hey chatgpt, can you complete this building?” It was used to buttress the fact that many skills can still not be replaced by machines.
-
Have you been affected by responsibilities and bills, such that there is a considerable gap between your gaming as an adult and as a teenager? Apart from responsibilities, I also discovered that there are some genres I enjoy more as an adult. So the perk of it is that I get to dedicate the time I have to enjoy these games more.

I can have a really short attention span, especially for the single player games. I can play for minutes intermittently than sit down for hours. This mostly makes me opt for the shorter games, that I can finish in half an hour at most. But I can come back some hours later and pick up another. Would you rather play long hours at a stretch or intermittently?

In the picture contains different consoles and the year they were released. I started with 94 PlayStation, though I knew about the NES and SEGA consoles. What console did you start gaming with?
-
Try to imagine a world without games, what do you think you will do? Of course it won’t feel as if we are missing anything, we never had it. For me, I would be more of a reader. I read a lot presently, so it will most probably be what would substitute gaming. If there were no games, what would you do?

The Fate of Radio Stations: Will They Eventually Fade Away?
Kennysplash replied to killamch89's topic in Music
I’m afraid it will eventually fade away. The way we tune in to radio stations has reduced significantly compared to say, 10 years ago. And this will continue until a generation don’t even know what we call radio stations anymore. -
I just type the song on google. The first response at the top is always the lyrics, and I screenshot it for future reference. But often time Spotify also put the lyrics in the songs, but if not then google to the rescue.

I like the Indie folk genre, that is why I’m a fan of passenger. Before I sleep in the night I listen to the cool low beat and slow rhythmic songs to put me to sleep. It helps relives me and I get a good sleep.

I won’t really say it has killed it, but it has surely reduced their revenue. There are many people like me though that always desire that cinema experience. Nothing can substitute it, so it will always be in business.
