Without a doubt hands down the best horror game ever made is Deadly Premonition. Not so much in the scary part but the absurdity of the game itself and the wacky story makes it one of the best games ever made, maybe i should do a write up about this classic in the good bad games thread. Since well You either love Deadly Premonition or you hate it.

Exellent read thanks for that, you know nobody could have phrased it better as it pretty much sums it up why sony can stick all their shit up their ass. Why is GT7 even an online only game, most time you're going to spend in career mode anyway racing against the ai. Gran turismo to me was always about collecting cars and that's what the game should be about driving and upgrading a slow car and moving on to something better whenever you have enough credits. It's my favourite sony franchise, always has been but man the past decade hasen't been to kind for gran turismo and that's why sony deserves the middle finger imo because it was once their flagship brand.

I could do that and woulden't even mind doing so but woulden't it be more appropriate when i hit a special number like 1000 posts.

Nearing 300 posts maybe i should do something "special" for my 300th posts.

Grand Theft Auto V Has Shipped Over 140 Million Units
Yaramaki replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Don't know if it's an old thread but title should be corrected since GTA 5 now 160 million copy's. It's Mind blowing that it's second best selling game of all time after minecraft. Surely with the ps5/series x version out now a couple million more will be added as time goes by. It's good to know i bought 2 of those 160 million ☺️ -
I think this generation of gaming will be much better than the last
Yaramaki replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
Going to quote this and say is it now? There are several reasons i can state, well from my own perspective that we have seen the best of gaming and it's not going to get any better. Just my personal oppinion if you disagree let me know as i'm always open for a discussion. First of all we're already into a generation that is nearing one and a half year and up until now only a small amount of people have them but let's say if consoles would be widely avaible around this time next year that's already 2 and a half years into the consoles lifespan. If we look at the previous generation sony and microsoft already announced hardware upgrades ps4 pro and xbox one x respectively. 2 and a half years is a damn long time already, like half the time of a "normal" console generation. The good side of this it's probably going to be a long generation that probably will last atleast another 10 years. Aslong there are console shortages, microsoft and sony will not ditch their old consoles and release them exclusively on their new hardware and that in turn is the biggest hindrance for current gen consoles, since they have to put energy and resources into a ps4/xbox one version, i feel like these versions get in the way of delivering a true next gen experience. Because let's face it base Ps4 and base xbox one consoles are 9 years trying to run something like forza horizon 5 or GT 7 on there smoothly is mostlikely going to take quite a bit of effort and time. Wheter or not if it was 5 years ago, i would have mentioned this as a major problem number one. Games being shoved out the door unfinished but i'm getting used to it by now that eh who cares anymore right? It's still a major problem but it's not like it's going to chance anymore, gone are the days you popped in a disk and you're good to go. Also what more can they possible add to the games we have now other then better graphics and faster loading times, i haven't really seen a reason why people should go rush online and buy the next gen consoles. I sometimes see people mentioning framerates as a gamebreaker but what are we with 4k graphics if they can't run the game decently at 1080p and 60 fps, it never really bothered me but on current gen console the least i would expect is that the game runs smoothly at 1080p. Gameplay wise i can't see what else could there be improved on maybe you can tell me. Sure story telling and mission structure are just a few things that could use a massive improvement but only time will tell. Shit that annoys me the most are Lootboxes and microtransactions, i stay away from them as far as possible but it seem the majority of the gamers don't really care anymore it's like they are used to it already. A brand new game already costs 10 bucks more (in some cases). You already want another 20-30 bucks for a season pass and now devs are going to be even more greedy. I think microtransactions are especially problematic for children as we've seen it too many times daddy's creditcard get's plundred for a few skins are fifa fut card packs. Children don't really know the value of money and if it becomes more and more frequent they might think it's normal that games have them. One last thing that is wrong with current gen gaming : Devs are under so much pressure these days, they can't fuck up or it's game over for them. How many studios were closed because they sometimes made a great game but it sold poorly. Bizarre creations and pandemic studios being one of them just to give an example. Publishers aren't willing to gamble on a game anymore and this is also a major problem, gaming was always about creativity and if it's wasen't for indie developers, gaming would have already lost it's soul a long time ago. The golden age of gaming isen't going to come back, all we can do is atleast enjoy the games that are yet to come. -
I've been meaning to reply to this thread, since i played a ton of games to fall under this category. Since each entry is going to take me quite a while i'll just do one game at a time, whenever i have some spare time. I'll just start with one of the first games that came to my mind : WorldNeverland- Elnea Kingdom (Nintendo Switch 2018) Alright where do i even start with this game, it's a bit after 6pm on a sunny friday evening, got nothing planned so let me grab a beer as i am typing this. Wtf is this shit i hear you saying, well World neverland is a long running series of life simulation games with farming/rpg elements that up until 2018 never saw life outside of japan. If you read any of my posts, you gotta know by now that i really like my japanese stuff and offcourse life simulation games aka games you play for way too long for your own good. I'm just going to talk about the game above since it's the only one in english and while they are on my to buy list i've only fucked around a bit with one game on the dreamcast. I'm pretty sure this came out on mobile as a free to play game, i'm not sure how that version is so i'm going to stick with the 29,99 switch version well on the eshop it is that price. If you want it physical no doubt going to cost more but is it worth it. Man already this much text and i haven't gotten around to the game itself yet. I'll admit the game looks like shit, think maybe a ds game, gameplay wise their isen't much going on, you press a button to do an action and that's it. However let that not fool you because there is a lot to like here, you start out as a traveller and your goal is to become a citizen of the kingdom. The game holds your hand here for now so you know what you are doing since it plays out pretty much as tutorial you can't possible fail. Making friends is quite easy just by talking to them a few times they are your friends, you can even have best friends and offcourse you can get married with i'd suggest a character of your age, you age 3 times as fast a we are. After you become a permanent citizen you can pretty much become what you want, altough it's take a damn long time. Like i started out as farmer and had the possibilty to become head of the farmers since i had the highest score of any of the farmers for that year, instead i choose to become a guardsmen and set my goal towards becoming head of the imperial knights, a year later my wife also become an imperial knight which i tought was a cool thing. By this time i was maxed out in pretty much anything and wasted about 150 hours of my life and since i had 3 kids, i decided to take over as my son, the cool thing here is that all your belongings are passed over to your kid and while it's funny you pretty much have a kid that can one hit kill anything in most dungeons. I tought it was cool to see that my original character did his own thing after that, i never got around seeing him die because you know i wasted enough time already. There are several jobs you can do like become member of the mountain corps, become a priest, hell you can even become king or queen how many hours that would take that i don't know guess i won't find out until i try but the question is should i. All in all i've put about 220 hours into World neverland, there is a lot that games like story of seasons should take note off, your character dies of old age, you can play as your kids, become whoever you want, pretty much building your own dynasty and let's face this offers a potential of unlimited gameplay. i'm out now let's go grab another beer and if you make it this far thank you for reading and enjoy the weekend. Man i'm 4 days off work, even tough i shoulden't dare i gave world neverland another go in the upcoming days. if you're interested i'll just post the switch trailer :

Pretty sure dragon's dogma was made in japan since the director was behind the orignal devil may cry game and many classic capcom fighters. It still has the somewhat japanese style especially the characters imo, i think the most unique system the game offers is that up to two of your companions can be downloaded from other players, like you could have my main character as a companion in your game well should you wish to do so, i tought that was a cool feature for the time. DD also had bosses that you could climb similair to shadown of the colossus, their was something satisfying climbing a giant snake with several heads and cutting them off one by one. Other then that it's quite good from what i remember, the combat is more on the hack and slash side which i like, can't comment on the other classes since i always end playing as a warrior/fighter type class in rpg's. i'm sorry i can't add more as it's been like what 10 years since i played it, i also remember that it originally came with a resident evil 6 demo download code, no doubt to sell more units not that it needed it offcourse as it was by far the better game. Despite owning it i never got around to playing the remastered dark arisen version version, so i suppose that would be the version to get. On a sidenote i'm still on the hunt for a japanese 360 collectors edition that came with a dragon statue. I either forget about the auction or the asking price is way too much ahwell fucking first world problems man it never ends.

You're damn right it is the best indie game ever made imo Also the best farming/ life simulator game out there and since it was made by only one person makes it even more impressive. I'd say i'd put stardew valley into my top 10 games of all time. Also what do folks here define under indie games, it's a term used so broadly these days, like if rocket league is considered an indie game, what about minecraft it's also something that could be considered an indie game despite being one of the most populair games out there at the moment.

What are your thoughts on trophies/achievements?
Yaramaki replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
At first i tought they were cool since you really had to put some time and effort in to get that 1000 gamer score or platinum trophy. These days you can play hundreds of (mostly bad) games that can be completed in a few hours and get a platinum or all the gamerscore it takes away that special feeling for me. I think they should start changing up the system the way it is now and give longer games more gamer score ( or multiple platinum thropies ) then shorter games, like forza 4 toke about 300 hours to complete and something like firewatch you can beat in an afternoon and get the same gamerscore it doesen't make sense. -
I'd say somewhere in between, the longer you are into a game and gain more abilities the easier the game usually gets. Besides games these days throw xp like their is no tommorow so you're pretty much maxed out by two thirds of the game. It may not be best example but most ubisoft games are like that, if you do everithing along the way, you pretty have unlocked every ability and reached the max level and on the standard difficulty their games are already fairly easy.
-
Man where do i even start with this or should i even bother, you're clearly mad at me so i'll try to explain for what it's worth. You shoulden't take everithing that people say for granted, Look up a youtube review or a trailer and then judge wheter it's a game you like it or not, we've got all different tastes and you know that's fine since it's pointless to discuss somebody their taste. I for example i'm not into mobile free to play games at all, but do you see me blindly posting in a candy crush thread and saying that the game is shit, i stay out of it because it's something i don't know a lot about and quite honestly don't really care about. If you really feel inclined to post then you should start phrasing it otherwise for example : While i have not played the series and From what i have read about watch dogs it isen't something i would be into or like? That would makes sense instead of this gibberish : I try to read everithing clearly before i make a comment but sometimes i get annoyed by the time it takes me to filter trough all the nonesense some folks seem to love posting and the good quality posts get lost. Claiming you don't say shit i mean you're one of the most active user on vgr so that is another false claim. Where did i say i know everithing you may think that way but i still have a lot to learn. Besides I'm always open to learn new things in life, i even learned something from you @Justin11 you may not realise it yourself but when you posted that picture that you got a ps4 it made my day, i'm sure you were stoked as hell, like you know a kid that get's it's first console as i'm pretty sure you had that feeling. So what did i learn from you is that i should be more humble in life, i always take everithing for granted, while i work hard, make good money and have a good like in general that's not the case for everybody. In other parts of the world some people work much harder then me for a salary that is laughable low, you know next time i'll donate something whenever there is a good cause around that i feel okay with, instead of just ignoring it all together. One last thing you should really check out any watch dogs game, i'm currently playing trough the second game and must say it suprised me in a good way. Dude now that a ps4 you have an entire generation of games to catch on, what are you waiting for. Maybe my previous posts went a bit out of line so if you can forgive me please accept my apoligies, you seem like a good dude and i just wanted to give some good advice. I think @Shagger would have pointed it out already if i went overboard. Right now what was this thread about, oh right it's about driver

Games where you can set your enemies on one another
Yaramaki replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Well you should, i also skipped out on it the first time around. It was because @Kane99 kept being saying good words about it, i gave it another chance and i'm glad i did, really enjoying the game so far. I'm usually the gun blazing type but man sneaking into a building and not fucking up feels so rewarding. -
Man here i was trying to ruin somebody's social life by trying to get them into fantasy life. 😄 Now that i noticed diden't include a single jrpg into my top 10 list, maybe i should have included a bravely default or a fire emblem game in there instead of epic mickey and ridge racer 3d but ohwell. The good thing about this thread is that i played my 3ds the entire afternoon before compiling this list. Some puzzles in professor layton will test your patience, definitely not a kids game my man. Woulden't be suprised if quite a few ds/3ds system died from frustration in the process.

Max Payne 1 and 2 Remake announced for PC, PS5 And Xbox S/X
Yaramaki replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming News
Yeah i'm not gonna go into that subscription model that is bullshit, to be honest people should start thinking with their head instead of their wallet. I could care less about Gta online since i don't play online and have no desire to do so now or anytime soon. While i agree this is bad for gaming alltogether you just know a lot people will get that gta+ subscription. From what i've read upon it it's only for "current gen" consoles and not ps4/xbox one so why the hell anybody would upgrade to a paid subscription on current gen consoles is beyond me. I've done some more digging and apperently you can still play for "free" for the time being, alltough you'll mostlikely be at disadvantage. But i agree with you but you know how some people are so there is a fat chance that subscription will be cash cow for rockstar. Maybe i'm also part of the problem because i woulden't mind spending another 30 bucks on a physical copy off the current gen version that was released a few days ago and play trough the story mode one more time because it's that good. -
What Zelda Games Would You Like To See Ported To Switch?
Yaramaki replied to The Blackangel's topic in Nintendo
Haha for what would i start a witch hunt just because you don't like a game and i do. The world would be a boring place if we would all like the same stuff right and share the same oppionions. -
I think you got it all wrong since it's actually the crew that replaced driver, Ubisoft reflections who worked on driver san francisco went on to work on The crew together with ivory tower. Dude stop bringing up Motogp every time please, i get it you like motogp and if i'm being honest i haven't played a motogp game since valentino rossi the game and that let's be honest it was not that good of a game. I did play all the entries in the Ride series which is from the same people behing the motogp series and all are eh just mediocre games. I even tried my hands at some motorcross games from them and those are laughably bad. You know moto gp 09/10 back when Capcom still had the license is a much better game then anything milestone has released to date. Also please start using sentences that make sense, because what you write above is making my head spin. And one more thing while i'm at it clearly you have not played any watch dogs : Please stop posting shit about a game that you have not played yet, stop jumping on the bandwagon just because someone else isen't into something doesen't mean that you woulden't like it! Now that that is out of the way please enjoy your day and take care! Peace!

Games where you can set your enemies on one another
Yaramaki replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Suprised nobody mentioned watch dogs 2 who probably makes to best use out it in any game mentioned so far well imho. You can hack somebody's phone and have them arrested or you can mark somebody as a traitor to a certain gang and they come and shoot at the person. Kinda funny that even without your direct involvement gangs sometimes go to war with eachother or the police. There is something satisfying that you set up policeman to a gang and they come and fight with the police, while you are behind a fence or on a rooftop being a spectator. One thing i had a police officer arrest another police officer and they started shooting at each other, then i swooped into the forbidden zone for that skill point and nobody saw a damn thing. -
Where is the third and fourth option? Switch and xbox series x? Pc gaming i'm not really interested in, i like my games physical and the comfort of a console is all i need. You know I always find it funny that pc gamers always have to bring up the specs of what they have and let's not forget the price of what their pc costs all the time. It's like who has the biggest d*ck contest, it ain't gonna win you any ladies fellas. Now the ps5 after the stunt sony pulled with gran turismo 7, i don't know man (nevermind my language) they can stick their ps5 consoles straight up their ass. I'm not really interested in it at this time, maybe i'll get one in a few years time but right now hell no. I've had a pre order for october but i'll mostlikely end up going to give it to a friend. Did you just make that up or what, why would the price of a ps5 go down to 400$ when there is no stock avaible everywhere. You don't need to be a scientist to figure out that aslong there is no excessive stock of a product it won't go down in price.
-
Yet you can 1400$ for a laptop 😉 Since when does a ps5 costs 1000$, i don't know what world you live in but the one i live it costs 499 euro. That's half what you mentioned, seriously stop bringing up these scalper prices, if somebody pays 1000$ that's their problem the only way i see it they are idiots. You know what it is people are lazy, complaining about it online is easier instead of doing a little effort to call up stores or why not even visiting them and ask if they take preorders for it to try and get one at a normal price. There was a youtube series where a woman documented how she promised her son to get a ps5 for his bday, she put a little effort into it and managed to get one at a normal price.

Games where you have to take care of your character's health
Yaramaki replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming Forum
Man do you even read what you post, first of all how can skyrim be "best feeling the reality scene" whatever that means, when you never played the game yourself. You don't need to eat in skyrim since your health regenerates over time, it's completely optional sure yes you can eat food/herbs to find out what positive or negative effect it has if you are into alchemy. I mean no offence but whenever i read some of your posts i could swear you are either drunk as fuck or high out of your mind. Like the one above what is it supposed to mean exactly? -
What would you like to see added to the forum?
Yaramaki replied to DC's topic in Questions & Suggestions
Woulden't it be possible so they are only visible when somebody clicks your profile page, i agree it would be a mess if those show on the forum all the time. Either way i can always add them in the about me page in my profile. -
Max Payne 1 and 2 Remake announced for PC, PS5 And Xbox S/X
Yaramaki replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming News
How is that a terrible decision a company needs to make money somehow, if you can sell the same game 2-3 times to the same people why not. -
The wichter 3 wild hunt is in my oppinion the best game released in the ps4/xbox one area, sure it had bugs at launch but since those are ironed out by now you are getting one hell of a gaming experience if you haven't played it yet. It has be far the best side missions in any open world game, Side characters that are memorable, minigames that aren't a chore to play, endings that are satisfying and dlc that were actually worth their price tag. I don't know why people keep slamming cyberpunk 2077 since i'm sure 90% of the haters never bothered playing the game, i have not played it yet and i'm sure it's going to be worth my time whenever i get around to it. See this is everithing that is wrong with modern gaming, gamers themselves were hyping up the game like it's the second gaming of christ, devs being forced by publishers to rush their games towards the market even while they know full well it's not finished. Cyberpunk should have been pushed back atleast a year and let's face it it should have been a ps5/xbox series x only game, well if it was my doing anyway. But anyway the damage is done, all they can do is fix it i guess, while not on the subject Hello games made from the mess that was no man's sky and turned it into one hell of an exploration game like no other out there. Let's hope cyberpunk follows the same route. I'd be more for a complete remake, the first witcher game has aged badly and the controls are horrible by todays standard, even the game released they were clunky mess.

Can't recall the last time i sat down and watched a movie, i don't watch tv in general with the exeption of the daily news and even that i don't do everyday. Gaming on the other hand i try to do everyday.
