  1. Saints row started out as blatant clone of gta the first few games were a poor man's gta in my oppinion. The only reason as to why many people bought the first one is that the first game came out really early in the 360's life and it kinda filled the gap until gta 4 came out. I believe saints row came out half a year after gta4, yeah it was improvement over the first game and had much to offer in side content. Still saints row started to get an identity off it's own with the third game, the missions were over the top the gameplay was fine and offcourse what many open world games lack are likeable characters. The Fourth was even more over the top and was very fun to play. My favourite in the franchise would be saints row 3. Do i like saints row yes, is it more fun to mess around in then gta yes, is it better then gta no. I'm i looking forward to the reboot yes. Let's just forget violition ever made agents of mayhem and goes on to blow new life into the saints row franchise.
  2. A good quest imo is something that should give satisfaction when you complete it and should give some cool loot aswell.
  3. Kind of doubt it, 10 years ago we also tought 3D TV's would become the norm see how that went. Unless VR sets gets cheaper you are not going to get big masses to buy it. Maybe i'm looking wrong but i don't really see a whole lot of publicity for Vr to be honest, yes i noticed sony is in the process of making ps5 vr set but that was just a news flash, not an ad. Besides why would they market it for a console you can't even buy the "normal" way.
  4. People used to threat old games as junk, but man how time has changed now!
  5. I'd say gran turismo 6 which came out really late in the ps3 life cycle and a lot of people already moved on to the ps4 and never looked back. Kinda suprising they never ported it over to the ps4 to be honest. Gran turismo 4 was the absolute highlight of the series and probably the most beautiful game on the system. GT2 pretty much perfected what the first gran turismo was about, also toning down the difficulty of the different licenses adding rally and even more cars which was unheard off at the time.
  6. Me neither, i meanly use my phone to call and send a text aslong it does that i'm happy with it.
  7. Haha, i'm starting to get used to it that every thread seems to go offtopic after a few replies and it usually ends in dissing EA. i've beaten the first demon's souls but to me it was no fun dying every few minutes. That's why i never bothered playing another, i play games to relax not to get frustrated every hour orso. Don't know if elden ring will be tough as nails or will there be an easier difficulty?
  8. I guess the answer for me is every open world game, at first it doesen't really grip my attention but once you get better gear/ level up a few times and are free to roam by doing side activities/quest i get more and more invested. I'm currently playing greedfall at first i tought what i'm i playing, but after you leave the first city the game really opens up, while not a triple a game by any means it has enough lore and things to do to play through the entire game. Game is more like a B movie though 😊 Moderator Note: Slight edit per OP request.
  9. Let's be honest here the only company that were (and still are) in dire need for exclusive games is Microsoft, What noteworthy games have they put out on the xbox one? Forza, gears maybe halo 5 but i don't know man. How many will be remembered in 10-15 years time, opposed to sony their ps4 exclusives, bet quite a few will be rememberd fondly off. Microsoft managed to turn it around with forza horzion 5 and halo infinite so let's hope for them ( and us as gamers) it continues because the only way to catch up with sony is offering games that are a must buy that you can play nowhere else. I just hope microsoft gives the devs freedom to create what they want, i don't want to see for example obsidian making a sports game just like they did with rare turning one of the most iconic studios into making kinect games. Have obsidian make a new fall out game, new vegas is still my favourite fallout game so why the hell not.
  10. Well in my case : Working your ass off all day to have extra money and willing to spend that money, being dedicated to reach a goal you set with collecting and stick with it wheter it's the best games for a system you love or all the games for a system you love. Probably staying with your parents and staying single for a long while also kinds of help. Patience is also the key a solid video game collection isen't build on one day or year, i've been a hardcore collector for 17 years now, while getting older i get less obsessed by it and more easy going about collecting but still i find myself spending a few hundred bucks a month on games.
  11. Laziness, careless, clueless, etc. Many excuses are an option to use, being honest with your costumers is the key, yes i get stuff gets delayed and covid may be the cause but it's been going on for 2 years i'm just sick off the same excuse over and over.
  12. Pretty much the excuse for anything that's delayed or out of stock in stores these days. Don't know how it is in the usa but i had to wait 6 months until i get the couch i ordered, but sir it's the fault of covid, man i'm sick of hearing the same excuse all the time.
  13. Well my argument was about that digital versions of games are more expensive then physical games, it doesen't make sense. With digital you get nothing but a download but with a physical game you get a case and disc that has to be manufactered, shipped, etc and that is somehow cheaper to buy, does it make sense like hell it doesen't. If you don't want it anymore you can always sell it and recoup some of the costs, with a digital download you can't. Digital games should be atleast 10 bucks cheaper then physical but even then i'd rather pay the extra money and have a physical copy of the game.
  14. It's Never to late to try it on my man. Pretty sure you can get the game dirt cheap on ebay/gamestop or wherever you want
  15. Don't you think it's weird to say that digital games are expensiver then physical games? It just doesen't make any sense at all. To each their own i guess but I'll never understand why anyone would prefer digital over physical, unless you only buy 2-3 games a year i've yet to see any benefit, yes i get gamepass is a good deal but to me it's just a rental service. But who am i to judge i'm just on old fart who lives in the dinosaure age apperently 😉
  16. I can't really watch indycar over here so i only see they highlights, makes i don't really have a choice to say i favour F1. Indycar is much more exiting though the driver can make the difference, since all cars use the same chassis, the only difference is that teams can choose between honda and chevy engines.
  17. Pretty sure these kind low budget pc games were everywhere for sale in the early 2000's, my uncle was always a truck driver so put two and two together and you are there. He just gave it to me and said you can drive pretty much anywhere and i can't figure it out and neither did i 🙃. I kinda figured it out already but little did i know it would turn out to be one of the worst games ever
  18. haha yeah i'm a collector alright, it's kind off hard to deny when you own 11k+ physical games (all complete) and about 200+ consoles/handhelds. Just figured a picture is better then words, if somebody on vgr checks out atleast one of the games and ends up enjoying it i'd say mission accomplished 😉
  19. Mafia 3 is open world though, in pure ubisoft tradition you take over the entire city district by disctrict, some people diden't like it but i really enjoyed my time with the game, i've been meaning to replay it if i would have more time but i have such a huge backlog of games i want to play it may take a while.
  20. Pretty sure microsoft could just straight up buy sony if they wanted/allowed to.
  21. Oh man, i really love kcd one of the most underrated games of the past few years. Henry is feeling kinda hungry now 😄
  22. same could be said about mafia 2, see these games more as story driven rather then open world.
  23. Went to gamescom in germany a few years in a row but that's about it i guess.
  24. My biggest fear is dead probably : Ever since i've seen somebody get hit by a car right in front of me, the person later died in the hospital so i try to stay away from horror movies and games. I've already had countless nights seeing the person laying there, no need to have even more, It also doesen't help that i have to pass by that exact place twice a week.
