  1. I like to analyze gameplay and adjust strategies and it works like magic. That's how I was able to improve my gaming skills. Tutorials, online forums, or YouTube channels are great resources to rely on.
  2. Yes, it is absolutely possible for video games to provide distraction during difficult times. I have resorted to video games to escape from stress.
  3. I play games briefly on my smartphone during commutes or breaks. I haven't really spent hours exploring games on my phone .
  4. Some of the notable Iconic gaming dads include Kratos, Vergil, and Joel.
  5. I think that Tekken 8's balance and active community make it a top choice for me. Street Fighter 6 follows closely, while Mortal Kombat 1 struggles with character imbalances.
  6. I believe that the games with complex narratives and emotional twists are most likely to be vulnerable to spoilers. A typical examples include The Last of Us, BioShock, and Silent Hill 2.
  7. Assassin's Creed III and GTA IV are those games with a very disappointing endings. There is rushed conclusions and it leave the players unsatisfied.
  8. I'm looking forward to play the game on Steam. I think this would be better because it would add new more play options, which is what I'm looking for.
  9. Another possible evolution is the addition of background stories and dialogue options, present in the TV shows. This might mean better developed branching narratives and increased replay value in games.
  10. I shared the same feeling when I played through Portal 2 co-op tutorial. Solving the puzzles appeared a little challenging at first but after some time, my friend and I was really going through the game with ease.
  11. I would like to add that It’s important for developers to continually address features for players with disabilities so as to make the games fun for all.
  12. Honestly, I do not have a problem with searching answers if am playing a game for leisure. For example, if I’m on a puzzle, and I get frustrated, I may check the solution because I want to enjoy the rest of the game. But if I’m playing a game that is oriented on puzzles only, such as Portal or Braid, I attempt to solve it myself.
  13. You are teaching about determinism and free will. As human beings we are always shaped by our environment and experiences, but equally, we are rational beings capable of making decisions.
  14. I spent days thinking how to switch the correct sequence and what water level is correct in Ocarina of Time.
  15. That’s why I’ve transitioned to indie games. Games like Hollow Knight, Hyper Light Drifter and Celeste are far more enjoyable than many big budget games. Independent games are not necessarily a money-making business; they are made with passion, which makes them much more interesting to play.
  16. The issue of gaming is beneficial to me in managing anxiety as well as stress. Getting lost in game helps me to take my mind off real life’s problems. Nowadays, with games like The Sims, Fallout, and Elder Scrolls, I feel i'm in control, and nothing feels better than accomplishment.
  17. Alien: Isolation is my pick. Xenomorph was quite engaging due to it’s persistence and very erratic movements. It was so difficult for me to make progress because the tension and fear of being hunted was always present.
  18. Normally when gaming is involved, no one would expect that it could turn to a form of employment. One of the things that go with it is that you no longer are able to play or stop as you feel like. I get to level in games because I want to, not because I am forced to by anyone. If that's is my job, then probably one day I will get fed up and stop doing it altogether.
  19. Well, that of course depends on the game. If the story is interesting, as it's in the case of games like Witcher or Dragon Age, I will sit through any cutscene. But if the story is bad or complicated, I might leave them out so that I can indulge in gameplay.
  20. What I do is check the harm that games are causing in real life. I do this by questioning if games are affecting relationships, work, or personal wellbeing. I think about other activities and if they are left out, and how anxious gaming makes me feel.
  21. I'd love to cosplay as Ezio Auditore of Assassin’s Creed. He's one cool character, his main abilities are agility and stealth. Or maybe Portal’s Chell, who has nice attitude. Plus she is tough and smart.
  22. For me, it's Dragon Age. The dynamics in that party game as well as the success stories has always got me hooked. The Dark Soul is another one especially in terms of difficulty and the setting of the game, I keep coming back to it.
  23. I don’t get stressed because permadeath is a part of the game design, a change, a learning process, and a temporary condition. And it's just a game after all.
  24. In Darkest Dungeon, I got all my team members dead due to lack of food and medicine while on an exploration trip. The stress mechanic made it even worse because the heroes’ conditions would worsen, which meant I could not survive it.
  25. If you are looking for a game that is similar as Outer Wilds in terms of space and mystery, I highly recommend looking into Outermost.
