you make a great point. I think another underutilized mechanic is player choice and consequence. I like the games that allow players to make decisions that will have impact on the game world. -
@killamch89Borderlands 3 was a great game, but it had some flaws. If Gearbox Software takes the community's feedback to heart, I'm very sure that Borderlands 4 could be a masterpiece.

Xbox consoles should support Oculus and other VR headsets
Lens replied to Kane99's topic in Virtual Reality
Supporting existing headsets would be a great way for Microsoft to actually dip their toes into VR without having to to fully commit to their own hardware. -
Nintendo's Labo VR Kit was a very unique experiment, but it's true that it doesn't give a full VR experience like Oculus. I also think Nintendo might eventually enter the VR market too.

Our brains work differently in VR than real environments
Lens replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Virtual Reality
That's a very interesting point. Based on what I read, gaming can indeed affect our brain's activity and it can lead us to a state of relaxation. However, VR is a little different because it can trick our brains into thinking that we’re in a real environment and this can lead to a conflicting signals. -
I understand your point. The new one can be uncomfortable especially for an extended VR sessions.

That's indeeed a great point! The VR can be a comfortble space for them to actually socialize and interact. But as for what's next, I hope to see advancements in haptic feedback and aslo allowing us to feel the emotions in VR too.

That's indeed a valid concern. Facebook, now Meta, have actually been investing heavily in VR technology, but they've also faced some kind of setbacks and criticism in the past.

Quest 2 is a great choice truly. It's user-friendly and has an amazing content library as well. I also know that Facebook's involvement with Oculus does raise some concerns about data privacy.

Prolonged VR use can definitely cause eye strain and it can even affect your balance and coordination. You need to take a break at regular intervals.

Investing in Metaverse stock is definitely a high-risk and high-rewards too. The Unity Software's involvement is so intriguing, but I'll advise you to do your own research as well.

'Metaverse's Dark Side' and VR bodysuits
Lens replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Virtual Reality
That's so disturbing. The Metaverse's dark side is obviously a very serious concern. i found out that the VR bodysuits and haptic feedback can enhance the experience, but they can also increase the risk of harassment and assault. -

What does VR need to do to make it feel realistic enough?

I love your idea about the large rooms and screens. Based on my opinion, I think VR also needs to focus on sound quality as well.
