What a great question you asked! We have seen a lot of video games show us some truly breathtaking creature designs over the years. The most stunning ones that come to my mind are The Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus and the Dragons from Skyrim. -
Based on my experience, the obscure games that caught my attention are The Path and The Whispered World.

I have seen so many games offer evil playthrough option and some of them even make playing evil truly compelling. A typical example is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. -
The truth is, it's so frustrating to watch someone quit games due to frustration or anger and I don't know if you have come across some players who engage in negativity and they can ruin the gaming experience.

Dark Souls series is a typical example. The games are notoriously very challenging, the difficulty curve is also very steady throughout, but if you get to the final bosses, it's significantly harder.
