Dunno if there is a secret method to change the UI but if not it would be nice if there were more themes like red, green, yellow, light blue, etc. Or if there was a custom build feature which let you choose two colours for your personal UI.

Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, Metal Gear Solid 2, Devil May Cry 3 and Ratchet and Clank 3.

Not until like 2024. I don't know why there are still shortages since the pandemic is over but it is what it is.

Should Nintendo focus more on having powerful hardware?
NightmareFarm replied to GeppyX's topic in Nintendo
They spent a lot in manufacturing the portability function of the console and making the portable tablet as powerful as possible which drives the price up. They could spend even more to make the dock bump up its power to rival the current playstation and xbox but the price would be like $700 or so which is way too expensive, especially for nintendos standards since they like to keep their prices down. -
Ever beat a legit pro gamer?

MK11 is one of the easiest fighting games ever though. Now, getting up to like 3000 BP on USF4 with a mid tier or lower is an entirely different story. -
What's one thing you'd change about each new/current gen console?

PS5: Incorporate game tabs like with the xbox series console. Switch: Headphone jack in the controller. -

The switch is bluetooth compatible. I use my bluetooth earphones with it all the time. -
I played the remastered version. It was quite fun although the gameplay design had visibly aged.

If they did it would greatly benefit the diehard nintendo fans but they won't because of the success of the switch. They're going to stick to hybrids from now on. -
How many games do you play at the same time?
NightmareFarm replied to Yaramaki's topic in Gaming Forum
Only 2 or 3 at most if i'm casually playing an online game on the side. Any more than that and I lose focus. -
Now that you mention it, Doomguy is the only silent protag I like but his actions are much more expressive than most other silent protags and the doom series has a small priority for the story anyway.
-
Here's a few examples of silent protagonists: Link from Ocarina of Time, Samus in Metroid Dread, Byleth in Fire Emblem Three Houses, Nahobino in Shin Megami Tensei V. Characters that don't have any dialogue.
-
I really dislike them. No matter what facial expressions they make or what grunt sound effects are used, it doesn't replace the need for actual dialogue. I have zero interest in silent protagonists and because of that the overall plot as a whole can suffer if I don't care about the main character. It just never works for me, even in the few games that I enjoy the plot with a silent protag, the MC is the worst part of it. It's just laziness disguised as "tradition" or "quirkiness".

I agree. I dislike all of those genres besides strategy. Especially platformers they feel like they were designed with kids in mind with the simplistic controls and mechanics. Few exceptions though like megaman.

What are your favourite and not so favourite videogame mascots?
NightmareFarm replied to Yaramaki's topic in Gaming Forum
Dante from DMC is my favourite. Can't think of least favourite. -
Go for it, being able to slice enemies into literally 100s of pieces feels amazing.

Cool. I've always planned on getting into more kart races besides the mario kart series but never got around to it. It can be quite fun especially with friends. I have rarely touched sports game. I remember having a demo of this WWE game on the PS3 though. Hack n Slash games are 3D action games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, etc where you fight hordes of enemies with weapons. It's basically the same thing as a beat em up but a few things set it apart from beat em ups like combo lists, weapons being the norm rather than fists, deeper combat systems and more stylish moves/abilities. Unlike ARPGs there is more of a focus on deep melee combat with combo lists and some sort of meter which ranks how efficiently you dispatch enemies instead of deep customisation systems and XP. My favourite in the genre would have to be Bayonetta 2 but Devil May Cry 3, 5 and Metal Gear Rising are very close. >I'm with you there. Whereas early cinema tried to mimic theatrical performances before finding its own thing, a lot of video games try to be more like films even if it's at the cost of what video games do well. People like David Cage seem to have an attitude toward gaming of cutting their nose to spite their face: they'll break and twist the medium to suit their vision, even though it would probably work better as a film. Exactly, games are meant to be games and movies are meant to be movies.

Favourite - Hack n Slash. 2D fighting games are close though. Least Favourite - Interactive Film(like Beyond Two Souls).

Old enough to be able to pick up a controller and play. So about 4 and up.

MK8 felt like an adrenaline rush in the first 20-30 hours.

Do you think 3D gaming will make a comeback? (3D TVs)
NightmareFarm replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
VR is exponentially growing. But it's hard to tell, maybe you're right.
