On second thought, if players feel they are still agile and skilled enough to play even when age is clearly not on their side they should be allowed to play as long as they are not affecting the team in any way and is still contributing positively. A player should be able to tell themselves to retire without been forced to so they can atleast give way for younger players to take over the mantle.

Your points are clear and I now see from the angle you are coming from, inflating prices of players was actually influenced by the opportunistic move of some club owners majority of them been Arabs to make football more a business venture and are willing to spend huge amount of money to just to a player for their club. Though I don't see this as a bad thing this has helped soccer to evolve drastically Sorry if I might be derailing but I also want you to note that some Players in the NBA earn well over 700k weekly so football isn't the only sport where ridiculous amount of money are spent on players.

If you are a core fan of any club, seeing that club lose to any team can be devastating, I never cried when my favourite team loses I just analyse the game with the friends who just wants to banter me because they aren't fans of that club and after a few hours or some days depending on how crucial that match was I have gotten over it.

Usually, staking is done with the hopes of winning that's why you were bold enough to put money to stake and losing that money because a team just couldn't deliver when they are meant to is usually painful, I guess that's the reason my friend is anxious because he doesn't want to lose his money because of the teams mistakes .

All I could ever think of at that time was table tennis and at the point of my life was the only game I knew how to play perfectly well. For this particular sport I wasn't influenced it just came natural for me and despite the fact that we didn't have a good tennis board to play on we had to create ours and I always played it with my friends.

I love hockey, but it's just sad that it isn't such a big sport where I am from, I watched the highlights of the game on supersports channel and I think avalanche deserved the win and is a good way to end the season. they have put so much work and their team effort has Paid off tremendously.

I know Thibaut Courtois had a good season this time round but he doesn't have a match against benzema due to how benzema was able to deliver his team during the UCL and how they managed to grab the title despite having such a strong contender like Liverpool. There cant be any controversy this year and if benzema isn't awarded the ballon d'ior then the organisers of that award needs to be probed and scrutinized. Lol

This defeats are worth remembering in Barcelona history and Torres scored the winning against Barcelona in the match between Barcelona and Chelsea that took us out of the UCL.

That's the issue many club owners usually feel that buying the big names with outrageous Prices could help them win an important title or competition and that's a big lie, I know for certain that those big names are good for business and can yield the club some profit in Jersey sales and the rest but for the aspect of winning a title or competition is not guaranteed. There are a lot of good but underated players clubs can spend their money on and gain tremendously from them too.

Before now they were some honest referees officiating games but quite a good number of them were usually driven by emotions, player favoritism or even corrupt to some extent. I know some of them still are despite the use of VAR but it is quite impossible to wrongly foul a player without it been properly scrutinized and the referee brought back to order.

Arsenal too has been having quite a wonderful transfer window though not the best, bringing in a player like Gabriel Jesus would actually impact arsenal a lot and Maybe take them back to the top 4 teams in premier league.

I have seen quite a good number of wonderful documentaries from the one made on notorious B.I.G, Albert Einstein and the likes and I really think Pogba's documentary isn't as bad as they make it seem it's no news that football fans can be a little too extra with their opinions at times.
-
Most definitely, i am not that into big names in soccer I like to keep an eye on the upcoming talents and those who aren't given as much recognition as they deserve, I believe with time Gabriel Jesus is going to make his own mark in the world of football and the whole world is then going to appreciate the masterpiece of a player he truly is.

This could be a good explanation for their behaviors but at some point I felt it was some sort of damage control protocol they initiate to distract the whole purpose of the questioning and buy themselves some time.

I don't think the girl misunderstood the question but was been sarcastic with it. Though I can't tell because I wasn't in her head at that moment but it's still quite funny. Beauty pageants can be seen in various lights and though it promotes various other things it is still good we appreciate the effort and initiative. I hope I have been able to bring the thread back on track.

When I said speculations I was referring to this, you can't actually say that every thing has been about the money in football since the Arabs because money has always been an essential part of football even before this time. Maybe the value placed on it and it business aspects is evolving doesn't mean the Arabs are the sole cause of it.

I was never moved by the money though most kids my age in the neighborhood where gaining Interest in football and training to play professionally, I just sit back and watch though I know how to play to an extent I didn't have any intentions to play professional. My football interest grew even more when I started visiting my cousin's who lived in a different state.

I actually understand how it feels, if you actually staked for a team your seriousness watching that particular match would be higher than usual. My friend would practically stand throughout the who match because of anxiety.

I still recall the score line and it was a big shocker to many because we had so many good players in barca at that time and we had all the odds in our favor to win that match. I don't think Barcelona could rise again to such heights with all the hocus pocus going on in the club, but it still pains me every time to see Barcelona lose any title no matter how small.

Messi is a team player and is not selfish for goals he actually creates room for all to shine along with him, look at the kind of chemistry he has built with mbappe and Neymar playing for PSG and there have still been times when all three scores in one match, you can actually say that for other teams where they are more than one star player. Messi still did that for barca too when we had Messi, Suarez and Neymar at the front and they still all dazzled along side Messi without any issues. Messi is Super talented, not selfish and allows everyone to shine as well despite been the center of attraction in the team I believe he would still do well in the PL.

I know VAR isn't a hundred percent efficient but you wouldn't compare this time to when the referee had the final say and could decide to favour one team over the other and because there wasn't any other way to check for this fouls and misinterpretation of actions, some players or teams which weren't meant to lose or fouled would end up getting an unmerited yellow card or worst still a red card. There are still more to be done but this times when VAR is used are actually much more better than the previous eras in my opinion.
