What are your thoughts on trophies/achievements?
Clasher replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
Achievements heightens the experience like beating a new high score , unlocking a new skin or some other relic in the game. But most times I don't play for these and just enjoy the game if I eventually hit a new achievements it's fine and I still enjoy the feeling. -
Well, tragedy is no good and coming across those scenes again would bring back Those emotions that you experienced the first time. Though I played RDR2 and whenever I get past Guarma again I feel a tinge of emotion. But most times it's only nostalgia which constantly drives me back to the game to have another experience of it . I didn't know you had a YouTube channel where you upload game related contents, that's so cool never been able to start mine actually.

@Crazycrab did justice to the topic. There are very many things that influences how an individual chooses to relate or react to other people in the society and we have to look at the psychological aspects instead of relying just on what is visualized what about personal experience like been abused as children , taking hard drugs and excessive alcohol and other vices. Yes video games can influence but 80% of violent people I know in my neighborhood don't even play video games and can't even afford to get a good console. So what does Oxford have to say to say about that.

How do you prioritise aspects of a video game?
Clasher replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
Performance our weighs game play then presentation , graphics and other features comes next. A game might have a really captivating storyline or characters but It would become a pain in the neck to play if it is lagging or slow. Performance is important then I must like the plot and storyline and enjoy the character with it's unique sounds and graphics quality as this would go a long way to determine if I would still continue playing that particular video game or stop after sometime. -
How often do you exploit design flaws or bugs to win fights in games?
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Personally, enjoying the game to its fullest and also winning is the ultimate so I could employ whatever means to get past a difficult stage even if it's means taking advantage of bugs. But mind you I would never use cheats in video games and this kind of bugs doesn't occur often but when it does I just use it to my advantage. Bugs are annoying sometimes so if I get a way to use the bugs to my advantage and win the game I would just do that instead. -
Freemium games where it is hard to stop paying once you start
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
As far as we know fortnite is a freemuim game, for the most recent season chapter 3 season 3: Vibin' you only have to purchase the limited edition comic fortnite X Marvel zero war comic to have a digital code to unlock some new outfit in the game such as the spider Man zero war outfit , but this is only for a limited as the outfit would be available in the item shop after a short time. -
This is so captivating, when I first saw this trailer I was so heated up I just couldn't resist getting this game. And I must say the game actually did well. My favorite thriller for a video game would be The Last Of Us Part 2 Trailer .

Freemium games where it is hard to stop paying once you start
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Though I only started playing fortnite some Months ago but so far I can't seem to stop playing it. League of legends also fall under this category and I enjoy playing it with my friends and I can't see my self stopping it anytime soon. -
I want a game from kingdom hearts where Roxas is the main character. I don't bother with trying to explain the plot or how the game has transitioned over the years that would be a rather unsuccessful journey as the game itself is a chaotic mix and only a jedi with super human strength can decipher. KH3 is satisfying but I wouldn't proceed further into other KH game unless as you stated Roxas is made the main character.

I enjoy wrecking havoc, killing with headshot for a smooth and bloody death when playing shooter games like call of duty, I like shooting or cutting zombies to shreds and having their blood bath the ground where I step on. This is just fun but I don't like violence in real life, never! But in a video game I enjoy creating a bloody mess. Lol I still have as much fun playing violence free games like FIFA too.

Are there any special days you would never play video games on?
Clasher replied to Dannyjax's topic in Gaming Forum
That's also a good thing to do, spreading love and visiting others in distress is a beautiful thing. And I am sure he is going to enjoy every single bit of it. But after that activity you can take him somewhere if he loves games to have some more fun too . -
Graphics and also sound are both features I always checkout for in a video game as these would contribute a lot to how much I would enjoy playing that particular video game. Just like what red dead Redemption 2 does with it's graphics and how realistic it's vegetations and other landscape are.

Evil within is an intriguing game too. Have you played resident evil 4 , the is also a psychological horror game with some similarities to evil within. I enjoy playing them both.

Games where you always notice something new on each play through
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
If you played any of the previous Dying light like dying light: Platinum or dying light: bad blood released in 2018 then you would certainly have an idea what dying light 2: stay human would be like. The game still got the thrilling horror, endless hours of Killing zombie and scavenging the wasteland. -
Thanks mate. I Would check them out as soon as possible. Maybe I could find some valuable God of war tips coming from those contents Creators.

I haven't played Ghost of Tsushima but a game that always got me running back to my seat to play when I started playing it was valheim on PC and I think a sequel of this game is teased to be released soon and it will be available on Xbox as well.

Standard things you usually try to fix a bug
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
There are games you like so much and even periodical or reoccurring bugs in the game can't stop you. I think this happened to me with call of duty: vanguard or warzone where the characters head in the game were Popping out of there helmets , it was a terrible bug though it didn't affect the game in terms of action and other activities but it still sucked. I still played that game till the end though and the bugs couldn't deter me. -
How do you cope when you finish your favorite game again?
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
My niece is so hooked with playing Pokemon and sometimes get a little sad when her parents asks her not to play video games for a few days so she could concentrate with some school work. I don't have anything against pokemon because it wouldn't have any negative mental effect on a ten year old as the characters and scenery are kids friendly. But I still believe her parents did right by her, atleast to stop her from delving into excessive playing of videogames and also give her attention to other priorities. -
I play with my PC sometimes too, some regions suffer a lot from power outages just like mine as well. That's why I have my PC and extra power source like my solar panel and also a power bank. All this were put in place because I work from home and I need my phone and my PC to be on always. This has helped me too with my video games and when my power sources is too low and can't carry my Consoles I just play with my PC instead. Atleast all my devices won't be off at the same time.

Did you ever buy a game and resell it before ever playing it?
Clasher replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Unforeseen circumstances might take place which could damage or affect your disc and sometimes it might not be due to carelessness per say. Earlier this year when I moved to a new apartment I had most of my disc at my former place, when I was packing I kept those disc as safe as possible but the transportation company that helped me moved my properties didn't know that those boxes contained fragile materials and so unknowningly kept some other stuff on it, though only about three video games disc were affected but this is proof that something that is way beyond your control could happen that might affect your disc. -
That's understandable due to the nature of your job. my job sometimes requires I work late Into the night and I would have to finish what I am working on before going to bed or else it would be some extra work for the next day. Some nights I feel a bit sleepy so I just play videogames for a few minutes then I am back up and ready to continue. This doesn't happen always though.

Looking at it from a different perspective @Crazycrab Here is my point There are times when you get bored with your current devices and it's not giving the kind of pleasure and satisfaction you need. Maybe for instance your mobile phone sometimes you just change your mobile phone not because it is bad but because you need an upgrade and the one you are currently using is already becoming 'boring' to you. And this also happens for your Tv sets ,you might want an upgrade to a more bigger TV with a wider display or some other features not because the old one is faulty but because you need something different or new for a change This also goes with controllers for some gamers at some point you just feel the need to get a new controller with more better features than the one you are using maybe because the old one is getting boring and you need something new for a change.

In this case I am most people. Lol Well I play other games like fortnite but PUBG never stuck to my mind that's why I haven't thought about playing it. I might start anytime soon though since it came up here In the forum.

And you do make generic comments as well and that's why other users are quoting you so you can expound on the comments you made. Comments like this are generic and doesn't make any effort whatsoever to explain what your points are and how switching to keyboard helps either.

This days I find myself playing only at night and during the day on weekends when I'm not working. It's now a habit for me playing at night just sits well with me.
