Which PS2 titles do you think need a remake or remaster? Personally, I'd love to see the likes of ObsCure get a remaster or a modern day remake. It was a fun survival horror game that came out around the same time as Resident Evil 4 and it was completely overshadowed by it. The original developers closed their doors though after the release of the sequel, I don't know if we'll ever get these properly 'remastered' but a bit updated versions of both ObsCure and ObsCure: The Aftermath are available on Steam. I would definitely recommend checking them out. I'd also like to see Simpsons Hit and Run, A fun game from the PS2/Gamecube/OG Xbox era that I had on PS2 growing up. I would love to see a remaster of this. Road Rage too, that was fun but not as good as hit and run IMHO. Another PS2 game a lot of people probably don't remember that I liked a lot was a game called The Bouncer. It was a beat-em-up in the same vein as Streets of Rage, but in 3D, so it played more like a pretty suped up Fighting Force from the PS1. I would love to see a remaster or remake of this game. It was also published by Squaresoft before they merged w/ Enix. So that's cool!

This game was a fun little run and gun shooter on the PS1 back in the day. I don't remember much of the storyline but you were basically a super soldier running through levels blasting enemies. Do you remember "One"? Have you ever played it? It was one of the earlier PS1 games and you can definitely tell by the graphics and control scheme. When I was younger I found this game to be very difficult. Years later, I went back and found myself enjoying it more.

Does anyone else remember this car combat game? Very much like Twisted Metal, this game had an awesome soundtrack by the mighty mighty bosstones. It was a game I used to play a LOT as a kid. Years later I picked up a copy on ebay to relive my childhood memories. I still have that copy. I absolutely love this game. I am more into Twisted Metal, Twisted Metal 2 being one of my favorite playstation titles of all time, Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 is a close 2nd and the soundtrack is unmatched for sure! Have you ever played this gem on the playstation?

Has anyone picked this up? This is a game from my childhood during the PS1 era, an RPG from Square that wasn't Final Fantasy. I remember it being pretty okay, but I don't recall much from it. I would definitely like to try it again and I would like to pick up the remaster at some point. I've seen it go on sale from time to time around $17 from it's $24.99 asking price, which is pretty steep for a PS1 remaster, but It is what it is. Have you picked up this remaster yet? How is it? Is it worth picking up on sale?

Some games have been recently remastered from the PS1 era, games like Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9, Saga Frontier, Chrono Cross & Tactics Ogre come to mind. Which would you like to see a remaster of next? Personally? I would like to see Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy Tactics, and maybe Chrono Trigger. I think Trigger could use a full blown remake, but I would settle for a well-done remaster like they did with Cross. What do you think? What games do you wanna see remastered?

I don't like the idea of foldables now. The concept of foldable glass was never going to work, ever. No matter what Samsung or any other manufacturer does to 'enforce the hinge' to prevent the screen from cracking or the glass disconnecting from the body, it won't work. Over time, the hinge will wear out and you'll end up with a useless phone. My brother likes the idea of the Galaxy Fold and was saying he wants to try it for his next phone, but I keep pointing out all the issues people are having with it. I hope he's smart enough not to bother with such a phone, especially since they're so expensive. Plus, as a huge downside, you get less screen real estate, why would you want a smaller screen just so you can 'fold the phone' and have it fit in your pocket 'slightly' better?

When a new console comes out, do you sell your old consoles to be able to purchase the new ones? Normally, I don't, unless it makes sense to do so. For example, when I bought the PS5, I sold my PS4 to get money for games to buy for my PS5. The PS5 being backwards compatible with most of the PS4 library, it didn't seem necessary to hold onto my PS4, especially when my brother still had his in the house. So i sold my PS4 to get money so i can buy PS5 games and I did just that. Now i'm sat on 9 physical PS5 titles. Howabout you? Do you sell your old consoles to afford the new ones or games for the new ones?

That's a pretty awesome collectable! I used to collect figurines and other collector's edition items but I ran out of space. I don't know if i'll ever start back up but I did see some collector's editions in the past I was forced to pass up that I wish I grabbed 😞

When my PC dies, I have a replacement plan to get a new one and just pay the price difference + a new plan. However, I am thinking of picking up a secondary laptop, maybe a Macbook or Macbook Air to serve me while I wait for the new PC to get in when the time comes. Back in 2001, my laptop had some issues with the keyboard and I had to send it in, best buy sent it back to Alienware to be repaired, but it turned out it couldn't be, so I was then given the option of getting a new alienware laptop, however, the time it took for them to ship it out and then for me to hear back was about 6-8 weeks. I was without a laptop or any PC for over a month. It was torture. I used my old surface pro 4 and tried doing my normal day to day web browsing with it, because of it's weak specs, It actually burn't out and the internal GPU on it died. So I think in the new year, i'll be buying a macbook just to have as a decent backup machine so something like the above, never happens again.

To be honest, I've had issues with elgato in the past, not so much the case with Avermedia. I find them to be a bit better, but that's just me. I do like the idea of the Wave 3 and Stream Deck though, I think Avermedia has a stream deck competitor as well but i'm not 100% sure on that, although I vaguely remember seeing something on twitter about it.

Oh man! I wouldn't know what world to live in! For me, it'd probably be either Yakuza (Japan) or perhaps PSO? I wouldn't mind living on a cool spaceship going down to the main planet killing monsters with cool weapons 😄 If i was able to be myself that'd be cool but I would probably modify myself a bit. I wouldn't have this beer belly 😛

Do you own any custom or specialized controllers? Like a Scuf? Elite? or Pro controller? or perhaps just one customized with your gamertag on it? For me, I own an Xbox Elite 2 controller. I would like to get a custom one though for both myself and my girlfriend, but they're a bit pricey. It might be an anniversary gift in the future though 😄 Do you have any customized controllers or gear?

Have you ever been on a date quest in a game?
Smokey replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
Does going to hostess clubs in the Yakuza games count? If so, then yeah. I always find those segments in those games to be quite funny 😛 -
Classic game! 😄 I remember when I bought my copy on PS1! Last game played was Modern Warfare II the other night with some friends. Only got a few matches in before I had to leave but it was fun as always. 🙂

Are parents ultimately responsible for what their kids play?
Smokey replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
Of course. Depending on the age of the kid that is. Once the kid is able to purchase the games on their own with their own money, then not so much. However, growing up, my dad bought me all my games, I think he stopped when I was around 12 or so. The PS2 era being the last few games he purchased for me. I bought everything after that, bought the PS3 on my own with my own money and so on. However, My parents were more lax with what I was playing. Hell, I was 4 or 5 playing Mortal Kombat 😛 I turned out fine, for the most part. 😛 -
I'm assuming this game is similar to say Rock Band where you can sing? A game like Just Dance but for singing? Karaoke basically? I like the concept but i never actually seen this game anywhere out in the wild. I'm not sure if it's something I'd get into as I hate my voice and wouldn't be caught dead singing Karaoke. 😛

Tenchu is one that always comes to mind. The last true console release was back in 2007 on the Xbox 360 with Tenchu Z. From Software simply stopped making them not long after that release. Sekiro Shadows Die Twice was conceptualized as a new Tenchu title, but redone into a more Souls-Borne type game. Which is a real shame because I've been dying for a new Tenchu title and would love to see full-on remakes of Tenchu & Tenchu 2 from the PS1 if I'm being honest.

Right now you can get some great deals from Best Buy in their video games department! Moderator Edit: Link removed It seems like the PS5 was in stock til recently for total tech members and it seems the Xbox Series X might still be in stock. You can snag a Xbox Series S for $250 as well.

If you have totaltech membership from Best Buy, they just had some stock in. Also try from Playstation direct. They get drops in from time to time.
-
You dun messed up A-A-Ron! I would've grabbed it. 😛 I got lucky with my purchase. I loaded up a queue on Playstation direct and I managed to get one. Purchased it and then a few weeks later, best buy had them in stock for totaltech members, so I grabbed one for my nephew.

Yeah you can hack the Vita real easily these days and load up a bunch of emulators and stuff. Yeah all the games are in mint condition as some I haven't even opened or played, just took off the shrink wrap lol.

Sonic Frontiers looks good, but don't know what to do
Smokey replied to GeppyX's topic in Video Games
I've seen it on sale quite a bit since launch. I know it was on sale for Black Friday & Cyber Monday and I think i saw it on sale again just the other day from best buy. I would keep an eye out for a sale if it's a game you're interested in. It seems like the type of game that'll go on sale more often than not, so waiting might be your best move to save some money. -
This game looks hilarious. I've watched a few friends stream it the other day and I couldn't stop laughing! It was absolutely hilarious. Some of the dialogue had me nearly pissing my pants! Definitely a game I wanna try when I get some more free time. 🙂

Anyone play this classic RPG from Square? I absolutely love this timeless (pun intended) classic! A few years ago I bought an original SNES cartridge of it for $70 on ebay. That's a lot of money for 1 game cartridge, but nowadays it's doubled in price. I'm glad I still got my cartridge. I have it's re-releases on the Playstation as well as the Nintendo DS too. However, when I wanna feel super nostalgic i reach for the original cartridge. Have you ever played through Chrono Trigger? What are your thoughts on this game?
