Returning to this thread. Last night I did play one quick round of Fortnite. I didn't last long at all but it counts as something played I suppose. 😛

There's always tie-ins from previous titles, so I don't see that changing any time soon. I'm hoping GTA 6 feels more like Vice City if i'm being honest. I liked the more arcade-y feel of the older games, but i'll probably check out GTA 6 when it drops and see how it is for myself. Maybe i'll enjoy it. Hard to say without playing the game tbh. I would rejoin Gamefly and try it that way, but their shipping has become abysmal.

It's a short game. My brother purchased it and beat it in a day. I might pick it up for the trophies when it's cheap enough, but knowing how short it is, I can't justify spending full price for it at this time.

I'm just hoping it's less buggy than their last outing. It seems like the past few years have been riddled with bugs. I don't really like the 2K games as I always felt Yukes was a better, more capable developer.

Nope. By the time I got my 360, the Uno train already left unfortunately. 😞 I did hear it was a lot of fun to play for game nights though. Maybe a friendship or two could be lost cuz of it. 😛

I haven't bought a WWE game since Smackdown Here Comes the Pain on the PS2. My brother has bought them almost every year though. He's bigger into wrestling than I am. I'm not sure if he plans on buying 2K23 though as I think he was unsatisfied with 2k22. I'm pretty certain he's like me and more curious about AEW's game.

Have you ever played any of the Evil Dead video games? There's a new one out that came out fairly recently. The only one I remember is from 2000 "Hail to the King". I had it on the Dreamcast, it was an OK game but I remember the controls being much to be desired. I never played any of the sequel games though. Howabout you? It sure seems that way. There's the OneXplayer 2 coming, the Aya Neo 2 and a few others coming out soon. I would wager that there will be more. Will they be as good or better than the Steam Deck? That's yet to be seen. I wanna get one though, i'm just not sure which to buy as I only wanna buy one, once if possible. So i might wait and watch reviews & comparison videos of them all.

Being that I have only the 1 monitor, I doubt this would work too well 😛 I never tried it myself but in theory it should work if your rig is strong enough to handle the load.

Instead of the original xbox, if Sega survived the console wars, do you think a true sega-branded successor to the Dreamcast would've been a better option? Or do you like how things played out with the xbox? Originally, Sega wanted the Xbox to be backwards compatible w/ the Dreamcast but Microsoft pulled out of that deal and it never happened. Do you think a true Sega-backed Dreamcast successor would've done better? Would they still be making consoles today?

My thoughts exactly. I'm super pumped for this one. I'll definitely have to drop a pre-order when a date is announced.

I'm pretty sure a lot of companies no longer want to pay for QA testers which is why so many games release in such a buggy & broken state. The consumer has become a free QA tester where the CONSUMER pays to beta test/report issues with the game at launch, rather than the game being released as bug-free as possible like it was back in the old days.

Yeah people want it to work w/ PC. That'd be awesome. I don't got hitman on PS5 but it's often on sale cheap so picking it up to do VR wouldn't be too difficult.

Nope. I don't buy sports games every year, the only ones I play is NHL anyway, but i tend to wait a few years between purchasing releases, unless gifted to me for Christmas or something.

Yeah. I'm not sure if I want a Quest or if I should just wait for the PSVR2 from Sony.

I'm curious to see what happens w/ the ActiBlizzard acquisition. If it goes through or not will be interesting to see. Microsoft has stated it'd keep Call of Duty multiplatform, so I'm not sure why everyone is so worried even if the merger & acquisition goes through.

Are you looking forward to the new game from AEW developed by Yukes Entertainment? I am 😄 I absolutely love Yukes wrestling games. For those of you who don't know who Yukes is, they were the original developers of the Smackdown games on the PS1 and early PS2 games. They also developed WWE Attitude and WWE Royal Rumble respectively on the Sega Dreamcast. I'm excited to see how AEW turns out.

Yeah. It's one of the reasons I'd look into getting a VR headset personally, just not sure which one I should go with.

I haven't tried it, but from the outside looking in, it looks like a paid DLC update rather than a completely new game/sequel. A lot of people have said the same thing and many don't like certain changes they made to certain characters such as Bastian.

In all seriousness, The Phantasy Star Online community back in the day was pretty great, still can be although now it's fractured beyond belief across various private servers & games.

Curious to see what he cooks up next. Although, I wasn't a fan of TLOU Part 2. It didn't feel the same as the original and I preferred the plot of the original. I feel like TLOU would've been better off as a one and done thing, ending on an ambiguous note. Saying that, i'm curious to see what's next.

Yep. I've spedrun MGS a few times in the past. 😄 Had it beaten in just over an hour. 🙂
