Oh man! I forgot about Yukes AEW game! Yukes was always my favorite wrestling game developer. I might have to pick up AEW when it drops too 😄

I'm a big fan of the Hitman series and recently found a youtube channel that posts clips of them playing Hitman in VR and I gotta say, it's making me wanna get a VR headset. Maybe it's my inner crazy person, but it looks fun taking out your targets in virtual reality, if I'm honest. 😄 Here's a video showing it off:

Only era's/generations I missed were the first 3 as I was too young for them. My first forte into gaming was with the 4th generation, which was the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive & Super Nintendo. I haven't missed a generation since.

My first Nintendo system growing up was the Super Nintendo. My older brother bought a toploading NES a few years later and a bunch of games for it, which I later inherited, but my very first Nintendo console was the SNES. I really enjoyed it, especially the Mario games and the RPG's like Final Fantasy 3 and Chrono Trigger that were big titles on it.

I haven't played anythign in 2023 yet. I haven't gamed at all today. It'll probably be something on xbox or i might boot up my Dreamcast and start another run through Shenmue or Skies of Arcadia.

I can definitely see that. I'm still sore about my Sega. 😞

Obviously the Call of Duty community! 😛 Nah, I kid. 😛 I'm a part of many gaming communities, while running one myself, it's hard to say which one would be considered 'the best' though.

Nope. Not at all. I met a lot of awesome friends, some who I consider family, through gaming online since 2007. Prior to that, I met people at arcades, the video rental shops in my area back in the day and other gaming-oriented activities, so even back in the days before online gaming, you were able to link up with other gamers, it just wasn't as easy or common as it is today, so no, being a gamer does not mean i'm 'lonely' by any means.

Do you remember your original gamertag? My first experience with Xbox Live was in 2013 when I bought a 360 before the Xbox One came out. My first gamertag was my handle here with PSO at the end of it as I ran a private server for Phantasy Star Online at the time. I since changed it twice, once to reflect my now defunct clan and my current handle.

Would you ever buy a cheap desktop PC/mini PC for the sole purpose of having it be a gaming/emulation box running something like RetroArch? I see more and more people on youtube doing this nowadays. I was considering it myself at one point too, but I don't have the space to pull that off. Is this something you'd do?

That's a good point. I'm looking to pick up a device like this later this year and i'm just trying to weigh my options out and get the best one for what I want to do with it (emulation of consoles like PS2 & Dreamcast mostly)

I remember when this was all the rage back on Facebook's early days, people have even killed others over this stupid flash game. I've never got into it personally, I never bothered playing those dumb FB games.

Probably my Xbox Series X, but my Dreamcast did see a lot of love the latter part of the year thanks to the premodded Dreamcast + DreamPi that I bought in October. 🙂

I would suggest digging it out and modding it. It's real simple to do. I could help run you through the process if they're interested in breathing new life into the console. 😄

Yes, this is one game I always hoped would get sequels but never did. I wouldn't mind a remake today and then see if the want is there for a sequel or not.

it's an off-balance issue. This happened to me when I first got my original PS3 until I moved it and it was in a balanced state. My PS5 does this when I put a game in, but it stops after the console finishes 'reading' the disc. I'm not sure if it's a similar issue or the same issue as I have my PS5 console standing up, but it'd be interesting to test my theory.

I think if Sony threw enough money at the creators of the Simpsons and found a developer to remake the game, I think it could happen for sure.

Yeah, I liked the dialogue system choices. I'm not too deep into it and I haven't 'replayed' it yet so I don't know if the dialogue choices effect anything deeper in the game. I might look it up and see if that's the case, as I really like when games do that.

Manhunt was the only one that came to mind for me. I could see Condemned being censored too though.

you'd still need the PCB for the control panel, it'd be easier to just buy the Arcade1UP 😛 They often go on sale for ~$300 too, so they aren't all that expensive if you wait for the right time to strike. 😛

Anyone play this game? I started playing it on Game Pass earlier, it's pretty funny. I never seen the movies but I know of the films and characters. It's a pretty solid game to pass the time if you have game pass. I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially if you're a fan of the films.

A portable xbox would be cool to see. I think Ben Heck made a portable 360 laptop-style one once, but it isn't exactly 'portable'.

I didn't. I think I started with Season 2 initially. Fortnite is a game i'll pick up from time to time but it's not something I can play on a daily basis. I've skipped entire seasons before. 😛

Depends on how many games I play through within a certain time frame. For example, I might remember the overall key plot points to most CoD titles, but I might forget certain things in a Far Cry game or something similar.
