I don't have many collectables in terms of gaming, I have a boxed set of original run FF7 figurines of all the characters (Well most of them) and a Scorpion statue from the "Kollector's Edition" of MKX.

Played some PSO on my Dreamcast earlier, that was until some clown came into my game and deleted my character data. 😕

Some very talented people out there have the know-how to make a home console into a portable one, although some of these 'portables' are often large as well, but still portable. Have you seen any of these being shown off on youtube? Which home console would you like a portable version of? Myself? I'd love to get a portable Dreamcast, I know they sell them on AliExpress. I might pick one up in the new year just to have it as it looks really cool IMO and the Dreamcast is my favorite console of all time.

Yeah, I agree. It was also far from perfect even in 2009. Robert Bowling aka FourZeroTwo had a patch in the works to fix a l ot of the broken mechanics and otherwise 'annoying' parts of the game such as the one-man-army noobtube spam among a few other things, unfortunately, such a patch never saw the light of day due to the original Infinity Ward team breaking up to form Respawn. 😞 I always wondered what 'could've been' if that patch saw the light of day, would we also have gotten more DLC packs?

Yes, exactly, the fog was to make it so that texture pop-in wasn't as noticeable due to the draw distance allowed due to the limitations of the original playstation. In turn, doing this as a unique way to hide such limitations, created an eerie atmosphere that became a staple of the series.

Yes, we had 2 because when me and my brother each bought our xbox one consoles, they were forcing them on people. It was a cool gimmick for maybe 10 minutes, then It got kinda annoying if I'm honest. The audio quality of the built-in mic was garbage and the idea of 'being watched' constantly is enough to creep someone out. 😛 What if someone was doin' the deed? Eh? Eh?! 😛

Yeah having a big gamer score is pretty nice. If a platinum or full gamerscore is easy to be obtained I go for it, but I don't go out of my way stressing out if I can't achieve it :(pun intended) 😛

Is there a game you loved to play online that is no longer 'officially supported' that you need to rely on private servers to enjoy today? For me, that's Phantasy Star Online, Not PSO2, the original PSO, in any iteration, whether it be V2 or Blue Burst, or on Xbox/GC, you can't play it on official sega-owned servers anymore and thus need to rely on private servers. I ran a server for Blue Burst for a few years and i really miss it. I have an itching to bring it back online if I can, but it's been awhile i'd have to rebuild my team. For now i've been playing Version 2 on the Dreamcast, online via Sylvarant's private server with the use of a DreamPi. PSO isn't the only game back online on the Dreamcast, I also play Quake 3 Arena, Worms Party, and a few other titles online thanks to my DreamPi & the DreamcastNow community. Howabout you? Do you still play any games online using private servers?

I never owned a Master System, the only game I remember from it was the original Phantasy Star. Even then, I played that for the first time on my GBA back in the day. I been toying with the idea of buying a Master System and building a small collection of games for it, as it's the only Sega console I don't own, aside from the SG-1000 which was never released outside of Japan.

I wouldn't say "hate{ but to me, it's gotta be the original Smash Bros, really enjoyed that game but did not care for the N64, at all, if i'm being honest. The controller was just super awkward to hold & use.

I was gonna buy the skin pack but i'm lacking vbucks and money is tight for me right now around the holidays so it's something i'll have to hold off on and wait for the inevitable 're-release' when it comes back around to the shop.

Yeah I definitely miss the arcades for sure. I remember going to one when I was younger and competing against this other kid to see who can pull off the most fatalities in Mortal Kombat 2 lol. He won, I was never too great at pulling off certain character's fatalities 😛

I played a game of fortnite last night before going to bed early as I'm still trying to get over this cold.

Usually whatever game or games I receive that year if any. If I don't get any, I usually boot up CoD or something on my Dreamcast. 🙂 This year i'll be playing the Tactics Ogre remaster. 🙂

I can't remember. I don't really do in-game purchases that often, was probably a skin in fortnite. Actually, I think the last in-game purchase was a skin in fortnite, i'm pretty sure it was the spiderman pack. 😛

For me, probably the HTC Tilt. Which says a lot cuz I loved my HTC One M8. The Tilt, however, pre-dates that phone by about 6 years. I got it when I was still in high school and I was stuck with it for about 3 1/2 years, It was Windows Mobile based, had a stylus you NEEDED to use, and the keyboard on it was garbage. All around a terrible device with awful battery life and it was CHUNKY to boot.

Pretty much. Tomb Raider never had anything to prove being extraordinary. Just be a solid game with a half decent story. TR was always more about the exploration anyway.

Same page. I love Metal Gear, but i'm far from a Kojima fanboy, I never understood Death Stranding and i'm pretty sure literally NO ONE asked for a sequel. 😛 We DO however want Metal Gear Solid 6. 😛
