Both my wife and I provided a few voices for a game that a tech member on Sonic Retro was working on. He hasn't worked on the project in years though, it was a game called The Chaos Layer and it was on the Sega CD. Most of the voice clips used for the character was voiced by my wife, I provided only one voice clip and it's the worse one IMO. xD This was long before I transitioned so my voice is much deeper now so there's no way I could voice a woman now. :V Anyways here's gameplay footage of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idjFNFFHBjU

I'm assuming you don't use Windows if you're on the dark web often. I've never browsed the dark web, I've watched videos of people talking about the most bizarre content they found on the dark web. As for the websites I tend to frequent often, they are Forum Promotion, Admin-Junkies, Sonic Retro, and Youtube.

I can't wait for this movie! Keanu Reeves sounds great playing Shadow! Shadow is my second favorite character in the Sonic franchise, and I look forward to seeing his story on the big screen. Though if you're not familiar with his story, you're in for a treat that's all I'll say. 😛

What Part of Your Identity Do You Believe Will Never Change?
Ravenfreak replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
My stubbornness will probably never disappear. xD Though this does mean sometimes when I'm working towards a goal or working on a project, I might see it through if I'm really determined. -
I'm not the biggest fan of roller coasters anymore. I used to love them as a kid though, even though I've always been afraid of heights and hated when you slowly made your way up a huge incline. I don't mind smaller rides like the Log Flume at Six Flags or the Mine Train. These two rides are smaller, but even the Mine Train has a steep incline.

What's Your Favorite Supermarket Chain and Why?
Ravenfreak replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I prefer to go to Schnucks, it's a St. Louis area grocery chain. They're cheaper than Walmart and they have more things than Aldi does. Walmart tends to be out of the groceries I want, and I hate the crowds so I would rather go to Schnucks. -
I absolutely hate spiders and most insects. Especially spiders though, I've always been afraid of them and I hate when they end up invading my space. I live in Missouri, and we get brown recluse spiders. I've killed a few this year, one bit my grandma once when I was a young kid. She thankfully went to the hospital before it could get infected.

I don't think Playstation comes anywhere near Nintendo when it comes to exclusives, but they're definitely better with exclusives than Xbox. That's why I went with a PS5 first instead of getting my Series S first. Back in the day, Playstation had more exclusives and same with the Xbox. I miss those days, but it seems they're gone. At least Nintendo will always have exclusives though.

I recently dug out my AtGames Portable Genesis and charged it last night. I plan on bringing it to work on Friday since I get an hour lunch and I don't get decent signal on my phone at work so I can't really browse the internet. I know the sound on this unit sucks, but there's a mod that fixes the sound made by a Tech Member on Sonic Retro who goes by the username Esrael. Anyways I plan on getting one of my unused SD cards and adding that fix along with a few different ROMs that aren't already built into the handheld. Do you have one of these handhelds?

I didn't know Sony did this! It's the first time I've heard about it, the actual Sony Rewards program is shutting down at the end of this year though. But Playstation Stars is still a thing, my wife apparently has it but it's not as good as Microsoft rewards I've heard.

Life would absolutely suck without music. To me, it's the most powerful form of art that expresses our emotions. Music touches the soul like no other form of entertainment or art as well IMO.

My wife if she counts. 😛 If not, then probably my mom. I used to be really close with my cousin Travis, he was like the younger brother I never had since I had a younger sister. We both loved video games and would always play games together whenever he came over during the summertime. We drifted apart though, I haven't seen him in 13 years and we don't really play the same games anymore.

Which Classic PlayStation Game Deserves a Remake or Reboot?
Ravenfreak replied to killamch89's topic in Playstation
Legend of Legaia easily needs a remake or remaster. The game doesn't fully work on a PS3 unfortunately, so even if you were to buy it digitally on your PS3 you couldn't play it on there... It's my favorite RPG on the PS1. However, since the company that made the game went bankrupt, I highly doubt it'll ever get a remake. Plus it's a obscure RPG that many people probably don't know about. -
I recently watched an Austin Evans video where he went to a few different Gamestop Retro stores as well as a JacobR video and he does the same thing. Both of them didn't have much luck, most of the games they found were disc based games like PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Jacob even interviewed a employee and the employee thinks it might not last long because pretty much all the retro stuff they brought to the salesfloor were older games that have been sitting in back for a while. I was thinking about checking out the only location where I live, but now I'll just stick to going to Vstock or order games online if I want more retro games. (I also get retro games from Retro Game Treasure too.) Also Austin resorted to buying games online, and welp he didn't have a good time. Here's their videos:

Do you sleep in bed, couch, or easy chair?
Ravenfreak replied to melanie_marie27's topic in Forum Games & Fun
I prefer to sleep in a bed, when I was a kid I didn't have a bed though so I slept on the couch in the living room. My bedroom was too small, there wasn't enough room for a bed since I lived in a trailer. It wasn't bad though, it was comfortable. Sometimes now I will rest my eyes in my chair, but I'd rather not sleep all night in it. -
If any of the big companies decide to switch to digital only, I will be done with them. I prefer physical copies, I only got a Series S since it was decently priced but I made sure to keep my Xbox One S so I could play my physical games. Sadly it does seem like the companies might be heading this way, that's what happened with PC gaming. It's rare for any new computer to come with a optical drive these days.

Handheld vs. Docked: What’s Your Preferred Switch Experience?
Ravenfreak replied to killamch89's topic in Nintendo
I prefer to play my Switch docked and on the big tv. My wife prefers to play the Switch in handheld mode, so I let her keep the Switch Lite and I primary use our Switch. I prefer to use a pro controller as well, since I'm not a fan of the Joycons. It's just better to experience the games on a tv rather than in handheld mode IMO. -
Recently there's been a hack of Game Freak and the hackers have been revealing a few tidbits about the upcoming Switch 2 which is codenamed "ounces" as well as source code leaks of HGSS/B2W2 and more beta sprites of Generation 4 Pokemon. Not only that, but the codename for Generation 10 of Pokemon has also been revealed and it's being called "gaia" with references to the letters "K" and "N" and Game Freak is also allegedly working on a new battle focused multiplayer game similar to Splatoon with the codename "SYNAPSE". I expect more information will be revealed as the days go on since this leak happened earlier today. I look forward to what else gets revealed. https://mynintendonews.com/2024/10/12/massive-game-freak-hack-reportedly-unearths-pokemon-gen-10-switch-2-codename-and-more/

WB Games Montreal working on a new game in DC universe
Ravenfreak replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I would love to see a Teen Titans game come out, of course there's the games that came out based around the show back in the 00's but it would be cool to see a game based around the comics as well. I doubt it'll ever happen though, DC likes to do things based around the Justice League more than any other team unfortunately. At least a few of the Titans did appear in Injustice, with my favorite DC character of all time being part of the lineup which of course is Raven! -
Nintendo now going after YouTubers that show their games being emulated
Ravenfreak replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
This is so dumb, I suppose I'll have to be careful with Nintendo stuff now on my channel. I do have the means to play some of my Nintendo games on real hardware and I do have a Elgato capture device to showcase gameplay on real hardware but some things I don't have the means to record footage from. This is why I don't like Nintendo as a company. -
I figure I would post this here because it's in regards to the Playstation brand. Do you think that Sony has been dropping the ball lately with the Playstation? I know sales wise, they're probably still second to Nintendo but I wonder if the price of the Playstation 5 pro are going to affect sales. There's also the debacle with the Horizon Zero Dawn where people will need a PSN account to be able to purchase the game. They did this with Helldivers 2 and I don't know why they did it again.

Yesterday it was announced that the last of the classic Tomb Raider games will be getting the remaster treatment like the first three games did earlier this year. I'm very happy Square Enix decided to remake these games as well, and I really hope the remaster will actually fix the issues with The Angel of Darkness. I've barely played that game but I heard bad things about it, so it definitely was in need of a remaster. I never played through any of these games so I will possibly play the originals first before diving into the remasters. I do plan on getting them of course! The remasters will be out on Tomb Raider's 29th anniversary next year. Will you be getting this?

Do you use Microsoft Teams at work or at home? I know it's more common for Teams to be used in a workplace rather than for personal reasons, the place I worked at prior to getting my new job used Teams. We used it to communicate between the department and with the other clerks. I currently work at U.S. Bank in their lockbox department and the company does use Teams for meetings but I don't think I'll be using it as much as the managers do.

I'm great at managing my time. At the very least I have a time I get up on weekdays to ensure I get enough time to check Reddit and play Pokemon Go to keep both of those streaks going. I usually just play things by ear, but I'm usually good about doing the same things at certain times.
