I clean dust off the consoles. I don't really bother with the games that come in cases. I do clean the pins on cartridge games every now and then to not worry about connection issues.

On one hand, if the developer doesn't care about updating the game after X many years to keep up with the new hardware that gets released, why should I care? On the other hand, if it's an app that isn't supported for the new iOS releases, it just clogs up space of apps that do work.

When you're paid to play a bunch of games for review purposes, you don't really have a ton of time to "git gud" at the game they're playing.

Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger are both pretty amazing. Chrono Trigger is a tad unorthodox though.
