  1. Haha omg that thread is actually a never ending rabbit hole xD It's awesome and thanks for your worry 😄 Yay glad to hear nothing was wrong with you though, honestly I've noticed it normally comes from basic overuse of eyes without much sleep. I think there has only been a handful of times I've been actually terrified from something related to gaming. I once stayed up for nearly 7 days straight with zero sleep playing world of warcraft and runescape. Around day 7 I laid in the bed , looked at the ceiling and seen translucent purple spiders crawling everywhere 😮 That was 10+ years ago and it still haunts me xD Also if I do 48-72 hours awake on the computer and then try to sleep it's almost impossible to fall asleep. My brain just starts dreaming with my eyes open and flashing in and out of dreams/ being awake. Imagine staying up for 7 days, looking at your ceiling and seeing purple Spyro's running all over the place XDDDD
  2. Well it's good to see people questioning this haha, I think it will be more than epic, something self learning and able to judge and react as if its apart of a real world. Imagine an NPC that doesn't know its apart of a program or virtual world interacting with the environment, aging, contemplating and progressing as if the players around them are exactly the same as themselves. This is such a deep rabbit hole but a great one to play with haha. Right now we are working on creating an NPC that can kill players and each player they kill rewards them experience to level up + killing players reward a possible loot table based on their currently owned items, their levels, and class type. It's far from completion IMO but its def something that's already in the works however its farrrr from an AI as thats in concept within this topic. EOS
  3. One thing I left out of my response was "Eye Twitches" after a few days of really hard playing my left eyelid always flickers XD
  4. Great topic, Honestly as someone who played video games / ran services for for multiple years in my life it gives me great pleasure to elaborate on this. Pro's: Faster reaction time, logic an analytical reasoning tend to increase, pattern recognition improves, ability to plan and acclimate do as well. Being your own boss in most situations and having the schedule you want unless you need to be online during specific timezones, and decent income if you're in the right sector within the industry. Con's: Loneliness, Increased issues with back , wrist, neck, in general skeletal and muscle pains. Disorientation , detachment from reality , bad to poor diets if you must be online constantly, lack of social life, dealing with constant trolls, and boredom. Personally I found ways to fix the diet issue, the back/ body problems and the trolls. However even now my primary job is to create and develop communities and video games. It's different than when I was a service provider , pro gamer, community manager all at once but in general I still have disorientation, detachment from social life life or friendships and actually a more increased sense of what reality is which can become a problem due to the fact you analyze everything down to a logical / analytical standpoint which prevents you from really sympathizing with the few people you do have around you. Being a pro gamer/ someone who spends 16 hours a day creating digital content or managing within that environment shouldn't be for people who want to play for fun, have families that need attention or wish to have a circle of friends who require attention. After a while you stop viewing things as "fun" and see the price tags, ways to improve or perfect what you are after and gaming just doesn't have the same feel anymore. My favorite game was "Runescape" and "Path of Exile" however once I started my profession with services it all became pointless as I found the utmost efficient ways to complete the games and before I knew it the magic of the game was gone and it just became "being the best or completing situations the most efficient and quick way as possible" which was driven by the profitability of said changes. I suggest if anyone actually wants to profit from playing games they find a way to manage it properly and find a way to make your play style profitable without changing too much about what you enjoy to earn income. 5. Thanks brother will have to give them a hunt here this week! Never been too much into start wars animations but checking a trailer couldn't hurt! EOS
  6. Thankfully if I ever want to leave I can I just feel I've invested way too much money and time here over the last few years to run before its impossible to stay for mental health xD. Would love for all the nonsense to end but there's some understanding that the population has almost zero resistance at this point because of the measures taken over the last 3 years... Still I would love for a magical "we are done with zero covid the "war on the virus is won!" because the global economy needs that message more than anything right now.. The markets have spanked me this year haha. One thing cool thing is to watch a countries ability to randomly lock down a city of 25million people in 4 hours completely. That was an insane sight to behold lol. EOS
  7. I hope this is the case because EA used to publish some really good games and if they could re-drop skate this day and age it would be absolutely amazing. Was one of the best games back in the day. EOS
  8. Honestly I would want some sort of MMORPG with a ranking system or COD style, not really into the toonish style shooters that are out now adays. Do you have any esport players you like to watch?
  9. I feel when you develop a questline you want 1 solid main one that goes from the starting zone to the end, then in the regions / parts of the game without much of that questline interacting you want to throw in some "Kill Quests" like "kill x monster" "Collect X amount of Items" just to give players a extra guidance or reason to kill and level in that area. Then throw in some really cool short questlines that take you to parts of the game that dont have any activity from the main questline, hopefully giving the player a new item or access tool to other cool areas that the main questline wont grant access too. However if its a game where its not built around killing monsters directly for rewards or experience then the lore / character progression needs to be more on point. I actually really like this thread I took some useful information on what sounds reasonable and doesnt. Cant wait to see some more replies! EOS
  10. I had no idea you could stream anime on YouTube... Well then I'll do some digging , do you know any good series that came out over the last 1-2 years?
  11. Yes where I'm living we have major full city lockdowns still, can happen randomly where the entire city goes into lockdown for weeks at a time.. plus must get tested every 72 hours... its rather painful xD
  12. Honestly I feel the gaming during depression, growing up its what got me through the darkest of the dark times. Haha where I'm at lockdowns still happen.. I just spent 2 months inside of a hotel without being able to leave, and had to pay for it REEEE
  13. I think it comes down to an ego thing as well, the more you believe in yourself the easier it is to do what you say as for someone who doubts themselves its harder.
  14. A Discord is a great option but from reading the front page here it seems losing site traffic can be a negative thing, however if you limit the Discord simply to "Spam chat" only and dont have too many channels it shouldnt be an issue, ALSO you can have a really cool ticket system within the discord where users can report/ ask questions and it makes it super simple for moderators to manage these things. My 1.5 cents.
  15. Thanks ^.^, yeah I know crunchy roll but it normally bans my VPN and I have to have one to access the internet for work most of the day >.< They do have a good selection though thanks for reminding me of it maybe ill try with a premium to see if it streams better without adds! EOS
  16. I'm saying from someone who lives in Asia... It's def because the Zero covid policy in China.
  17. Sleeping or living your own life haha, I guess during rona everyone wanted to escape their world and fall into someone elses for a while.
  18. The Invention of Lying, Great film, main star is Ricky Gervais co staring Jenifer Garner, the plot is about a world where no one lies and everyone is pretty much 100% blunt about everything 24/7 even the harshest of the harsh. Wont ruin it for you but its a pretty good flick if you are just in for a random sit. 7/10 in terms of comedy and content. EOS
  19. I'm rather new, actually just an infant here on VGR but I would like to nominate @DC. The reason why : Was gentle when I posted something that was against the rules, took the time to chat me and introduced me to a ton of forum content ^>^ Thanks again, EOS
  20. Its def the covid ending, people back to work and lives just getting busy again. However people get bored of watching the same games, same streamers and new / more interesting dopamine giving content will overide it. Youtube really blew up because gaming videos / pranks/ memes in the start but now its more focused on Vlogs and random stuff like that. In the future chances are it'll just be 24 hour IRL streams like the Truman show where the streamer does it all and the audience tunes in at specific times to watch what they want to watch. EOS
  21. I'm sure you have if you play online enough 😄 Actually its funny, there are people who "stream snipe" just to find pro players and beat them for compilation clips for their youtube channels. It's super popular in Runescape.
  22. Yeah but most pro gamers run smurf accounts or alts when they just want to enjoy the game / not be targeted. In my playing days it was best to run multiple accounts to avoid harassment.
  23. Brother you haveee to get midnight club for it, the racing games on the PSP 2000 model were amazzinggg and well thats if you like racing but IMO just the design of those games were perfect. GZ on finding a gem! EOS
  24. "Practice what you preach" Probably one of the hardest and most important to follow quotes of all time.. Its easier said than done coincides great with it.
  25. Today is day 232 of the year 2022.
