1. Well, I'd certainly give it a go 😛 . Probably the game I'd be most confident with doing this is FTL: Faster than Light. The strategy for beating that game isn't obvious to newcomers - but it isn't too hard to explain (or put into practice once you do know it). And it is satisfying to go from struggling to beat Easy, to being able to crush the game on Hard difficulty!
2. I think the only game where I've done any dating was The Sims 4. And my dates always seem to go either really well or really badly... it depends on whether or not I can get my Sims into a Flirty mood 😛 . (I've also got married in Skyrim, but that didn't involve any 'dating' process, so I suppose that shouldn't count!)
3. I think anyone who's died participating in a dumb viral trend has a claim to a spot in this thread. Seriously, Wikipedia has an entire article about selfie-related injuries and deaths...

Hi guys

Welcome to VGR, Gonzalo! I hope you enjoy this place 🙂 .

E3 2023?

Yeah, I fear it may have lost a lot of its relevance due to it being cancelled several years in a row, and other developers organising their own conferences (which are likely to continue now that they've been established). I think they need a successful E3 in 2023 - otherwise, it's just going to die or get forgotten.
6. Yeah, this is why I hardly ever pre-order or buy games on day one 😛 . I only do it for my absolute favourite franchises (like Civilization), and even then, I'm hesitant. But it can't be good for the developers and the publishers... especially if they have multiple games released in a poor state, to the point where they start to acquire a reputation for it. Perhaps if the complaints grow loud enough, they'll get the message.

Last Game Played

FTL: Faster than Light I rather like this roguelike strategy game... I keep coming back to it every few months or so, and it always offers a good challenge. Sadly, my run today (with the Kestrel C cruiser) quickly fell behind the games power curve, and I lost in the 4th sector 😞 .
8. Well, it sounds weird, but if the dogs are playing the games, enjoying them, and - most importantly - seeing health benefits from them, then I'm all for it! I wish them the best of luck with this 🙂 .

Coloring

I preferred wax crayons at first - although I later switched to pencils, as I could colour more precisely with them.

Last Game Played

Excluding chess, it would probably have been The Sims 4, all the way back on Monday! I've been busy with non-gaming stuff (including Christmas presents).
11. Yes, I do... otherwise I just feel completely lost when I come back to it (and I'll probably get frustrated and move on to something else anyway!)

You're the mayor

First of all, try to do something about the traffic. Secondly, build a racetrack, just because. Finally, build a massive statue of a platypus.
13. Canada also has a King... shared with us in the UK 😛 .
14. No, I haven't - and given that horror games aren't my thing, I doubt I will! I hope you enjoy it, though 🙂 .
15. When I went to my girlfriend's local cinema, they were selling boxes of shortbread. Not exactly traditional cinema food, but it was nice enough! Otherwise, it's just whatever we can sneak in 😛 .
16. Apologies if this has already been asked, but I can't find a topic-specific search feature on this forum, and I don't want to trawl through 10 pages to find the answer, so... Do you have any pets?
17. Yeah, I just get digital versions these days. Part of that's because my current laptop doesn't even have a disk drive - and part of it's because it's just easier to buy games online. Even before I got this laptop, I was buying exclusively digital games for several years - and I can't see that ever changing.
18. One thing I have to ask is: how many of the people who make these games will even want to do it as a job? Of course, some will - but others make these games because it's a passion. And turning your passion into a job is generally a very bad idea... it means you'll start doing it on somebody else's terms, which will just suck all the passion out of it 😞 . But, for those who *do* want a job as a professional game developer: I wish them all the best in finding such a job 🙂 .
19. Sorry I'm super late with this, but I hope everyone here had a lovely Thanksgiving 🙂 !
20. Depends on what it is 😛 . If it's a random game of Civilization, that I'll never come back to once I've finished... then, not too much. But if it's a massive city that I've built in Cities: Skylines over the course of multiple years... then, I make sure I have that backed up!!!
21. Well, I suppose it isn't the worst way to recrcuit 😛 . This audience is likely to have some interest in the military, and some of the skills required to succeed. Of course, they'd still have a long, long way to go before they could succeed in the real world - but they'd have a head-start!

A final dash

If I can save my model railway as a whole, then it'd be that. But if I could only save one train... then, I'd probably just save my laptop instead.

Bad advice

I think "Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life" is pretty bad advice. More often than not, it ends up as "Find a job you love, and you will soon hate something you once loved" 😞 .
24. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which I saw with my girlfriend last week.
25. Digimon... I was really into it when I was 10 or 11 years old. I watched Digimon Adventure religiously, and Digimon Adventure 02 with some enthusiasm. However, when Digimon Tamers came along, and featured none of the established characters, I completely lost interest.
