Gaming is definitely the best part of my day for sure. I don't tend to get as much time as I used to, to be able to play video games so any time I do get is always time that I choose wisely and the best part of my day.

At the moment I believe I have around 5 games on my Wishlist that I would like to get hold of, I have added them to my wishlist so that if anyone ever wants to gift, they know what I am looking for. At the moment I have House Flipper 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Borderlands 3, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway Turbo Edition.

I believe I have only ever refunded a game once after making the purchase and that was because I accidentally purchased the right game but the wrong version and it wouldn't work on my device so I had to make a refund. The refund process was super easy and I got my refund quickly.

I have in the past received games as a gift from friends and also family but I wouldn't say that it happens too often. I do love the ability to be able to gift games now though, the amount of people I know that have been helped others receive a game they wouldn't have otherwise is amazing.

Do you hit save even with no actual progress?
Shortie replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I always hit save when I am done playing a game but I also feel as though it is a habit for me to save the game when I do and as much as I do, something I have been doing since I was younger and it was more so many lives and you have to start again so that I can go back to it and try again. -
I haven't played too many scary games as I am not a big fan of scary games, also scary movies or horror movies either. I did once play Saw The Video Game quite a lot of years ago now but that is the most I have played when it comes to a scary game and would be my scariest.

Can you pick a mobile game over a video game?
Shortie replied to Knight Barida's topic in Gaming Forum
I have in the past chosen a mobile game over a video game on console before but I wouldn't say it happens too often. I will admit, mobile games have gotten a lot better quality wise over the years with some being very addictive too. It's great that mobile gaming is where it is at now. -
There have been a few times I have met with a toxic group of gamers who have been on my team in a video game but I wouldn't say it changes who I am when playing the game, if anything, I am often appalled at some of the things many of them say but it's something to expect in some games online. I wouldn't day that I leave, I stick it out and then leave to not be placed with the same people again.

Have you played any game that sharpen your maths skills?
Shortie replied to Knight Barida's topic in Gaming Forum
I remember playing Bully and one of the lessons was maths. Even though it was fairly easy to answer the questions, being timed and having to do them quick definitely sharpened my maths skills. It's a shame we don't see more mini games like this. -
I find that a lot of the time, trailers are nothing like the game when you play it and that can leave you feeling disappointed as a gamer, especially if you had high hopes for the game releasing. I would love to see game trailers be more true to what the game will be like when we play rather than making it look like something it is not, obviously don't use a lot of what we will see in the game as that will spoil things but I feel we should see something that we expect to see when we finally get to play.

2024 Essential Facts About the U.S. Video Game Industry
Shortie replied to Cpvr's topic in Gaming Forum
This is interesting and it is the first time I have ever seen anything like this online which I feel makes it so much more interesting. It's great to see the different numbers and the impact video games has on people of all backgrounds. -
The last game I played was Monopoly Go not too long ago. I have been having so much fun and with the events they do quite often, it can become super addictive. As for last game I played on console, it was Fortnite earlier on, I checked out the new Fortnite Festival Battle Stage mode which is a lot of fun.

Something that has become popular over the years are season passes in mobile games. Some of them offer some great incentives whilst others are quite plain and not worth the purchase. I never used to buy season passes in mobile games but I found that I was playing Farmville 3 a lot and realized they have a season pass and figured I would purchase it knowing that I would complete it each time without issue. Do you buy season passes in mobile games?

This past week it has been announced that the next game in the Call of Duty franchise will be Black Ops 6. Over the years we have had some Call of Duty games that have been quite lack lustre and it has put people off the game, many even turning to other games. Black Ops 6 so far, whilst it is looking good and it also being announced that it will be on Game Pass on Day One, some people are still not eager to run back to Call of Duty just yet. Will you be playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

I got my kids the Oculus Quest 2 as a Christmas gift this past Christmas and they have enjoyed playing a lot of the games but the one that has been popular with them is Beat Saber. Since December up until now, I believe we have bought around 20 songs altogether either in a pack or individually and I know they will want more in the future. How many songs have you purchased on Beat Saber?

There are many different mobile games available, some of which may be a lot of fun and others which you regret downloading and have instead uninstalled from your phone. I don't tend to download too many games on my phone, not like I used to but I remember downloading a game once which was a match game because it looked interesting and like something I would enjoy playing, it was ruined with ads so I uninstalled. What is the worst mobile game you have played?

How Do You Handle Gaming Frustration or Tough Levels?
Shortie replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Whenever I play a game and find myself hitting a difficult part or struggling to get past a specific area, I always find walking away from the game for a few years, doing something else and then coming back and trying again helps me. I feel if you spend a lot of time going back when you are frustrated, you will never get past the part you are trying to. -
I wouldn't say that gaming has affected my social life at all. I have always been someone who has suffered from social anxiety and being around people and interacting with them always made me nervous and really anxious. Gaming has helped to give me a social life without the need to be around people but to also be in control so that on the days where I know I will not be able to socialize, I can hide away so to speak.

I have only had one set of joy cons which were the ones that I got when I got the Nintendo Switch and they started getting stick drift in 2020, about a year or so after I got the console brand new. I need to get some new joy cons and hoping to do that very soon and also hope to avoid stick drift again.

I have heard many say they would like to see the series come back so it would be awesome to see it. So far nothing has been mentioned about it making a come back but hopefully one day we may see it.

I feel we get this same discussion every time there are rumours of a possible new console and loads of names tend to run around but none of them as much as they are good guesses, are never right. I would like to say Xbox Series X 2 or Xbox Series S 2 but I feel that would be too basic and obvious. Microsoft tend to go for names that are unique I find.

I remember the paperboy games very well but I only played them a few times and not as much as many I remember did. I am also someone who didn't know there was more than one, going to have to take a look now and check those out.

I remember this very well and it was a console that my dad had and kept for years. The Atari VCS 2600 was the first console that I started gaming with. I always remember me and my brother spending ages on the console before we finally got a Sega Master System for Christmas.

The best headstrap with battery to get for Oculus Quest 2?
Shortie posted a topic in Virtual Reality
I bought my kids the Oculus Quest 2 this past Christmas as a gift and at the moment, I have not purchased anything else other than games for the headset. We are looking into the best head strap with a battery to go for at the moment and the Elite Strap with battery seems to be the one crying out to me at the moment. When it comes to a head strap and battery, what would you recommend for the Oculus Quest 2? -
As gamers, some of us have a dream of one day being part of a specific Esports team whilst others are content just playing the video games they enjoy for fun rather than competitively as you would in Esports. Do you dream of being part of any specific Esports team? Which team would you love to be part of if you were given the chance?
