Square Enix seem to be in hot water at the moment. Losing $6 billion since the release of Final Fantasy 16 in June 2023, this could be something that Square Enix may strggle to pull themselves out of. You can read more about this story here This is shocking but not surprising. I feel that Square Enix tends to work on many other smaller projects as well as big projects much like Final Fantasy 16. If they were to focus more on bigger releases, this could have possibly been avoided.

I have known a few people to say this as well. Some people do need a little more to keep them occupied when it comes to a video game so I can fully understand why you feel as though this was not a game for you. I always used to love trying to do better each time I played and I found that to be what kept me playing, the addiction of doing better and getting better each time.

Gaming is a huge stress relief for me. After a busy day dealing with my kids, ensuring any work I have to do is done and also attending to things I need to around the home, being able to sit down, chill out and forget about the day and shut off in a video game is the best feeling ever and also helps me keep my stress levels down.

It is very rare that I will pre-order a console and I usually wait a little while instead before I make the purchase rather than jumping on it for release and running into issues. I have still yet to upgrade to the Xbox Series S or X, hoping I will be able to at some point but right now, still waiting.

I last played a few games of Rocket League last night. Not too often I play it but I had a lot of fun on the two games I played and it was a nice change from Fortnite 🙂

Are you still able to change your first gamertag that they give you for free still? I know they offered this option a while back when they gave you a random gamertag so that you could make it unique and your own.

I am currently in a relationship and we are both gamers and I can't say that I have noticed that it has caused any issues for either of us. Sometimes we play games together and other times we play with friends separately which we feel helps a lot as in some cases, you can end up getting fed up of each other if you spend too much time doing the same thing.

This is very true and something I wish so many would realize. They end up hurting their own cause when they cheat and that only makes things worse for them in the long run. I also hate how it ruins the game for others as well when it comes to things such as the game being played properly and it being fair for all.

At the moment for my laptop I have a 15 inch monitor which is perfect for me and for my gaming such as my console, I have a 32 inch TV which I use for my Xbox One X and in some cases I may also use it as a second monitor which I have done a few times.

I last played Fortnite last night before WWE Payback. Was lucky that my last game on ended up being a win but I was happy. Now to see if I can keep that crown and get my second crown win of this season :)

Ideal Amount of Time for Kids to Play Video Games
Shortie replied to Bizdustry's topic in Gaming Forum
I myself have four kids, one of them is now an adult and my daughter is also going to be an adult in October, I then have a 14 and 15 year old (going to be 16 in December) and I have always allowed them to play games as they tend to hang out with their friends online and play games such as Fortnite or even Apex Legends. I found that it helps them to relax and chill out after things such as school and college and they seem to feel a lot better for it being able to shut off in a game with their friends. Many people feel that too much console time for kids can result in addiction which I believe can in some cases and it's always wise to monitor your kids time on consoles but I have found that my kids will head out, leave the console for a while and do other things and I haven't had to worry about the addiction side of it. My kids are also all doing well in school and both my two eldest children have completed school with great grades and have gone to college as well. The school my kids go to encourage kids to do what they enjoy in their spare time once they have completed homework and such as they realize it can benefit their mental health. -
I know they were talking about it a while back, unsure whether it came into play a few months ago or whether it was recently. Still it is a shame that it was scrapped as it was something that people could use to check out game pass or even play games such as Starfield for a small price if they wanted to check out the game. I agree, not a surprising move but definitely a bad one on their part.

Volition Games has shut down permanently
Shortie replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming News
This is quite shocking to hear. I have always been a fan of Saints Row and played every game including the new one and always had fun playing them. Also met some really awesome friends through the first Saints Row as well which has to be my favourite one with Saints Row The Third coming in second place. It's sad we will no longer see anymore Saints Row games after the final one released. -
I can't say that I have ever played Witcher 3 Wild Hunt but I hear so many people going on about it and how they love the game and the character Geralt. It's definitely a game that I would love to try when I have the time though!

Many of you may be aware that Xbox and Microsoft had planned to scrap the £1/$1 Game Pass and just recently, that change happened only it happened right before Starfield is about to be released and will also be accessible on Xbox Games pass as well meaning those who wish to take advantage of the game being available on day release on Xbox Game Pass having to pay full price. What are your thoughts on Xbox and Microsoft scrapping the £1/$1 Game Pass right before this popular release?

For those of you who have pre-ordered the premium edition of Starfield, you will be aware that you will gain early access of the game on September 1st 2023 however the time of release was not something that many were aware of until recently. If you are waiting for early access, you will be pleased to know that you will be able to play the game from 12 am UTC (1 am GMT, 8pm EST and 5pm PST) Are you waiting for early access?

If you are someone who is waiting for Baldur's Gate to launch on Xbox, you may be wondering when there will be a date given for the release of the game on Xbox. As you may know, Baldur's Gate is releasing on the PlayStation 5 very soon but no actual release date has been confirmed yet for an Xbox release. Larian Studios though have spoken out and confirmed that those waiting for the game on Xbox will see a release before 2023 ends leaving a short period of time where a release date could be. Are you waiting for Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox?

Fall Guys has been released now for just over a year and even though many were excited to play the game and see it become free to play on all platforms, you can't help but realize just how much the game is lacking at the moment. I know we are getting updated Show Passes every once in a while and we also see different game modes featured on Fall Guys as well as seeing custom game modes as well from the community but aside from that, there is only so much you can play in Fall Guys and it can leave you feeling burned out quite quickly. What are your thoughts on Fall Guys? Do you feel more could be added to the game to allow players more to choose from?

Starfield is due to release for those who have pre-ordered and get early access on 1st September 2023 and for those who have to wait or who are waiting for it to drop on Game Pass, they will gain access to play on the 6th September 2023. I myself have only looked into Starfield a little bit but it does look like a game I would be interested in playing. Are you looking forward to Starfield? Do you have early access or will you be waiting until the 6th September?

I have always been someone who enjoys keeping up to date with the weather and I often follow severe weather that happens around the world. My heart goes out to anyone who has to go through what we see when we severe weather events that take place. Just this past week we have seen Florida get hit with Hurricane Idalia and I have followed that myself but my heart goes out to those who have lost so much. Are you someone who tends to follow severe weather events?

On 22nd August 2023, a new season was launched in Destiny 2 called Season of the Witch. I have as of yet not played it yet but I hope to do so soon. I haven't played Fortnite in quite a long time, probably since 2022 if I am honest. Have you played the new season of Destiny 2, Season of the Witch? What are your thoughts on the new season?

There are so many games that we would play so many times over but we very rarely talk about the games that we play that we would never go back and play again. I have played many games myself and there are a lot that I would go back to but there are also ones I would never play again, for example PUBG was one I played but never really liked so I never went back to it. Are there any games you have played that you would never go back and play again. What is your reason for it?

We have seen video games and gaming in general come so far in terms of technology and how much better they now look and also what we can do in games as well. When I think back to how far we have come, it seems to be moving quite fast and technology is moving faster than we may actually notice. Let's say we look forward to 10 years time. Where do you think gaming will be then?

Summer is almost over and we all know that Xbox has an Xbox End of Summer sale each year around this time and the end of summer sale is live now! I as of yet have not checked out the end of summer sale but will do in a little bit. Have you picked up anything from the Xbox end of summer sale? Do you plan on picking anything up during the sale?

As many will know even though you may not be someone who plays on PlayStation, each month Sony and PlayStation offer games to PlayStation Plus users each month. Some people find that the games they release as a perk are great and others tend to feel a little let down on them depending on what games are offered. What are your thoughts on the games that are offered within PlayStation Plus each month?
