Not going to lie, a skittles event would be awesome and I would definitely love to see something like that. I have to agree with you that collabs between companies is something we are now seeing often and I believe are going to be around for the foreseeable future. I can only imagine what collabs are in the works for companies that like to do that kind of thing such as Microsoft and even Epic Games.

I know this feeling only too well. I have so many games that I either purchased or put on my play later list and if I am honest, I still have not gotten around to playing them recently which is shocking. As I always say though, are you even a gamer if you do not have a huge backlog that you can not seem to get through no matter how hard you try? 😄

When it comes to games that represent a cult following Call of Duty is the first game franchise that comes to mind for me. After that it is Fortnite, GTA, Apex Legends and also FIFA as well. Call of Duty and Fortnite would definitely be the ones I would say are the most popular for cult following when it comes to games.

Before digital games became more popular I used to buy video games physically and I would collect them. I remember as a kid, me and my brothers had a lot of video games that we collected as we were all big gamers from a very young age. Nowadays though, with digital purchases being like the new normal, I tend to go that route now and very rarely buy physical games. I guess you could say I do have a collection but it is connected to my game account now which is my Xbox account.

As much as I do know that people do enjoy open world games and I can understand why developers would want to get games out there which are open world due to the popularity but having a low variety of enemies, it does make the games very underwhelming for sure. As you say, a lot of developers tend to rush out their games due to marketing and also due to money as well and because of that, they don't spend the time needed to bring things to the game that would make them better.

Imagine your favorite games developed in a different genre
Shortie replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
This does sound like it could be a lot of fun! Could you imagine how many people would be interested in a game like that as well? At the moment my favourite game is Fortnite and I will admit, I would love to see that as some kind of actual survival game with the need to protect yourself. -
Repetition is a good way to better your skills at a game. I can see how that would work in some games, in fact probably all games if you use it correctly as well as adding in things such as strategy as well if that is needed. Time, dedication and repetition is definitely a great way to get better at a game, I find writing down tips when I fail as well can also help a lot in me getting better the next time.

Will GI Joe ever get an adult style game?
Shortie replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
I would imagine there are a lot of people who would love to see GI Joe get an adult style game and I also feel it would be something that would be very popular if that ever happened. I am very shocked that we have not seen this yet. You mention a GI Joe MK game and knowing how popular MK was and still is, that would definitely get a lot of people interested and be something that we have not seen in a game for a long time. -
I myself have always been a huge fan of Xbox and I have always preferred the console and the controller as opposed to the PlayStation console and controller. I also much prefer the exclusives that Xbox have as well which is what has kept me always going back to Xbox each time there was a new console. I don't believe you can sell someone on a console to purchase if I am honest as it all depends on what each individual prefers and likes. I may prefer the Xbox due to things such as the exclusives or the controller but someone else could prefer the PlayStation due to the controller and exclusives.

10 Video Games We All Played WAY Too Young
Shortie replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
I always remember as a kid, it was Resident Evil that me and my brothers spent a lot of time on when we were younger even though we were not the right age to do so. My mum was happy for us to play it as she knew what it was like and she figured as long as we were being watched, it wouldn't do any harm. I still love the Resident Evil games myself even now. -
I loved the Harry Potter games growing up. I am eager myself to get my hands on Hogwarts Legacy at the moment and have been since it released but having to wait until May before it was released for my console and then not having the funds has made it difficult. I always remember spending so much time on the PlayStation when I was younger playing the Harry Potter games and even the Lego Harry Potter games were ones I spent hours on as well. Are you looking forward to the Quidditch game that is in the works?

I feel games such as the Telltale games are something you have to have a solid interest in otherwise it is just not something you can get into. I myself do not mind the Telltale games, especially if I am looking for a game to sit and chill out on and just relax on. The Walking Dead was one I enjoyed for that.

I have to agree with you, being able to have remakes is nice if they are done right. Unfortunately, some developers tend to change some things which results in it not feeling the same as we remember and that can put us off the game or even game series in question. I am a firm believer that if you are creating a remake it should be a direct remake and if you are doing a remaster it should be a direct remaster. If you are looking to change things up, maybe make a new game with those changes instead of ruining older games.

Mine again was Fortnite 🙂 really wanting to reach level 200 which I am I believe 20 levels away from now so hoping I will hit that within the next week or so. We have just over two weeks left of this season so plenty of time to be able to hit level 200 🙂

It is quite easy to be able to go overboard especially on a game that you frequently play. I myself can't say that I ever put money into Pokemon Go but I haven't played it in a while. I do have it installed and need to check it out again the next time I am out but I keep forgetting. I am actually surprised at how popular it still it 🙂

I have heard that we are getting a black series s console which I feel a lot of people may be happy about who have not managed to pick one up yet. I myself much prefer black when it comes to things such as consoles and even other devices so the fact we will have the Series S and X in black now is pretty good. Still quite shocked that they never released the S in black first off.

I myself think it is awesome that we are able to play older games on the newer consoles. Unfortunately, Xbox did stop adding to their backwards compatibility list a little while ago and I would have loved to see more come to that list but it looks like we will not be seeing many of them now. I think it would make more sense to allow all games to be backwards compatible on each console so that people have that opportunity to keep going back to older games without having to keep older consoles. Some people do keep older consoles as part of a collection which is understandable but even I feel they would appreciate not having to set it up each time they wanted to play an older game.

What kind of game latches your soul?
Shortie replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
I can't really pin point a game at this time but I will admit that games with a story that I can get lost in and invested in are the kinds of games that latches onto me and keeps me wanting to play more. I have heard that Hogwarts Legacy was a game that many felt drawn to but I have yet to play that, being a huge fan though and the reviews I have seen, I am expecting it to be a game I will spend a lot of time on. -
I have to agree that multiplayer does not have to be in every game that is released. I often do miss games that focus on the single-player side of things and a story you can follow from start to finish but a lot of the time, that does not happen anymore because online multiplayer seems to have taken over. Hopefully one day we will see things get better over time with single player coming back a little more.

I have been spending a lot of time on Fortnite not just playing the battle royale but also playing the creative side of things as well. I will admit, I have been having a lot more fun on creative at the moment with the new modes that people are creating and releasing.
-
This is not something I expected to see as a game but I often realize that you never know what you will see in a game next. I have to admit, it does look weird with a squirrel holding any kind of gun but the game does look like a lot of fun for sure. Would be worth trying. It's a little different and definitely unique.

I don't tend to watch a lot of YouTube but when I do, there are a few YouTubers that I do enjoy watching, they are the following Daz Black (Daz Games) LazarBeam Fresh Crayator NickEh30 Ninja I am always on the look out for more to watch though.

Share Your Streaming Channel and Videos in This Thread
Shortie replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
I have been in the streaming and content creation world now since October 2017 taking a slight break from last October to focus on my work commitments but will be coming back to streaming very soon. Since Mixer closed it's doors in 2020, I as well as many others have felt lost but we seem to feel like we have found a home on Kick which I am super excited about and super excited to do my first stream there. I was also contacted and asked if I would like to be a YouNow Partner as well as they had seen my content and really enjoyed it and would like to see me as a partner on the platform. I accepted the offer and getting ready as well to do my first stream on YouNow. You can find me at the following places any support is greatly appreciated 🙂 https://www.kick.com/shortie https://www.younow.com/ShortieGamez -
Why aren't there more controllers with both sticks at the top?
Shortie replied to LeoGrun's topic in Gaming Forum
I myself am not a huge fan of the controllers with the thumb sticks at the top. I have used controllers like that in the past and I found it difficult to get on with. I can understand why some people would more than likely want a controller like this though, maybe it's because they are used to it, prefer it or because it is better if they have bigger hands. It's a shame there are not more controllers with the thumb sticks at the top for those who prefer it. -
When I think of all the game genres that there are, I can't say that there is one particular genre I would not play at all. I like to play almost all genres but there are usually some games from a certain genre that I will never play. Games for example like FIFA or even really scary horror games are a no go for me.
