  1. This is very true. Most mobile games have it set with in game purchases and a lot that are pay to win but then they make it so difficult to progress through that it's almost like they are pushing you to purchase things. If I can't get past it after a certain amount of time I just never go back, refuse to pay for anything that is pay to win.
  2. That is fully understandable that you would feel that way. I too sometimes feel that way about playing new games that I will be made fun of for it if I don't know how to play or what I am doing. I think because so many people judge before knowing you and that you are new to the game, it will always be something that is in the back of your mind. I try to think past all that and think to myself, if I am having fun whilst learning then I should just play. It's difficult to get past the mind set though.
  3. I never played Gotham Knights myself but from what I heard, many people were not overly happy about it and for them to release a sequel it would have to drag the fans back in again so would have to be a lot better than the previous game to bring people back in and to get people interested.
  4. Always worth a try for free! Never know how you may find it, I think that is one thing I like about free games, nothing to lose when trying it. Sure is 🙂 very similar to Overwatch with different characters and abilities. Not sure how popular it is now since Overwatch 2 went free to play though.
  5. I will admit that I am excited to see what they have done with the game and I am quite surprised that my kids have not asked for this game and instead want the John Cena version of WWE 2K23 instead. Despite them knowing about it, they still haven't asked. I have a funny feeling that when it is released though and many streamers are playing it, they will notice it and will then probably show an interest.
  6. I remember that very well too. Activision was heavily blamed for that and yet still now that it's Bungie only we still see that. Usually it's a case of blame the developer who seems the most obvious to do things like that in a game whether or not it's proven that they were responsible for it.
  7. Yeah games like that in which the developers have already sold it for the price of a full game should not be relying on ads in their games as well. That is like paying for something like a Twitch Sub or YouTube Premium and still getting the ads. Then what exactly did we pay for?
  8. This is a very good thing to do. I always find that if I fail at something in a game, being able to look at it see where I went wrong or what I could have done to make it work and then look at a strategy I could have used as well and then use it in the future if I ever come across those encounters again.
  9. It was such a great game. I love that I am able to still play it on my Xbox One, even though I don't play it half as much as I used to back when it was new, it's still a great game to go back to just for the nostalgia.
  10. Many have said the same thing, being on wi-fi and on the road is always a bad experience with cloud gaming. It does make me wonder how they could improve that though as when on the road, you are bound to hit areas that give your connection issues, unless there was some way to get a dedicated connection that didn't have any issues finding a solution to those issues would be very difficult.
  11. This is very true and is more than likely the reason we are seeing more and more free-to-play games. Right now these kinds of games are popular after games such as Fortnite became as successful as they did and if they release a free-to-play game and it becomes a success but money is rolling in from within the game, it's something they will continue to do because money is what they want to see.
  12. That could be the case. I know they did things with Wario and Luigi and I guess that was there way of seeing how fans of Nintendo reacted to the characters and if it would be viable for them to make more games with those characters.
  13. Couldn't agree more with this. I don't use Reddit myself too often at all but I know people who do and the amount of times I have heard about things that have been said or happened on Reddit is not always good especially for the gaming community. Twitter as well is a site I have used a lot and still do now and that is also just as bad as many other social media sites when it comes to gaming and the impact it has on gaming.
  14. Seeing more things like swearing and violence in video games makes more sense nowadays being that video games are not just catered towards the younger generation anymore and children. Whilst many adults still do play games that are for the younger generation you also get adults that want to play something that is more adult like in terms of video games and games like GTA is a perfect example of that. A game like GTA just wouldn't work without the violence and the vulgarity of it all. Developers want to push their games out to not just children but also an older generation of gamers as well.
  15. Seeing something like Uncharted become a TV show is something that I think many would like to see. I know I wouldn't say no to an Uncharted TV show and I see it being a success if they were to ever make one. I honestly can't think of what others games would make great TV shows. Halo has already been done. Call of Duty and even games like GTA would be pretty basic to be honest and not unique.
  16. One I do want to add which I thought would have been highly popular, more popular than it seems to be at the moment is the new Saints Row game. I remember getting a code for this game as a content creator to be able to stream and make content on the game and even though I played it and did enjoy it, I haven't felt the urge to go back like I have with other Saints Row games. I like the fact that they changed things up a bit but to be honest, I feel they changed things when people didn't want to see a change.
  17. This is definitely something that worries me as well. As much as digital is very much the most preferred at least for me now so that I have less games laying around and there is no risk of them becoming damaged and me losing them because of that, there is always the risk of losing digital games as well due to the fact that one day, those servers could close down and you could lose everything. I would hope that never happens but you can never be too sure.
  18. This is a tough choice for me between Sonic and Mario to be honest. Both are really popular mascots and they have been around and popular for so many years now. Sonic is the mascot for Sega and Mario is the mascot for Nintendo and both companies did a great job with both of their mascots. I don't think I could choose between either one as they are both best in their own right and even now, they are both popular and still going as strong as they were when I was a kid.
  19. I agree. Nintendo for sure did become successful with their Switch I feel because of them having their franchise as you say exclusively on their console. The addition of popular games as well being created for their console as well like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Among Us, and Overwatch just to name a few I feel also really helped Nintendo as well. I myself haven't used the steam deck myself but I know people who have one and they say the same thing, even though it is under powered it is the most polished handheld and the experience using the console is amazing. Many say the price tag is just a bonus with the steam deck.
  20. You know I noticed just how much Wario and Waluigi didn't get as many games as say Mario and Luigi and it often got me thinking and wondering why that was the case. I personally feel it is lack of ideas for a game with those two characters to be honest but I never understood why. Both are enemies of Mario and Luigi are they not? There are so many ways they could have made more games for these two characters that would have worked so it's a shame they didn't do more.
  21. No, this is not something I would ever risk doing myself. I do know that people do give their consoles paint jobs but a lot of them know what they are doing and know how to prevent any issues when working on their console and painting it. I just leave me as they are out of the factory and I am quite happy with that.
  22. I sure have 🙂 turns out I suffer from acute migranie so that explains a lot more now why I get the headaches I do. Turns out it's one of the symptoms of something else I suffer with which is Fibromyalgia so it's something that should be able to be managed with the medication I am on so they are looking at that at the moment to see if maybe I need an increase. I did think it was weird as I wouldn't have been playing long and the headaches would start, you would expect a headache after hours of play.
  23. I last played Fortnite last night. I am actually enjoying playing Team Rumble at the moment with the use of the two mythics we both have which is Deku Smash and the Kamehameha. Actually didn't realize how much fun these two are in a game mode like Team Rumble and as long as you don't use all three of them before you die, once you respawn you will find that you get all 3 back meaning once you have picked one up, you can use it all through the match. Of course there are cooldowns on it after you have used it once.
  24. I have honestly never tried Mario Kart drunk but now I kind of want to. I have played many games drunk but never Mario Kart. I can only imagine how fun that is with friends. I don't tend to drink often to be honest and only really on special occasions and sometimes and New Year. This is definitely in the plans now though.
  25. Things like this annoy me so much! I guess because I am someone that loves to complete things and hates to see them partially completed is the reason why I get so annoyed. I remember this happening to me in many Lego games including the Lego Harry Potter games. I can't remember exactly what it was we had to collect but I remember we had to collect so many of a certain something in each level and every level I would not be able to find at least one of them and it was super frustrating. I usually find now that if I ever get into this situation, I will always look to a tutorial on YouTube for the game, quite often I will be able to find the one I am missing and complete it and other times it's trial and error hoping I find the one I missed.
