Fortnite first started out with Save the World and to this day, even with the Battle Royale side of things, Save The World still seems to be quite popular for so many especially with the quests they have to earn vBucks as well which is always something every Fortnite player wants. I was actually receiving vBucks myself for logging into Save The World each day, I would get say 150 vBucks after logging in for so many days and on the odd occasion I would get 300 or even 800. Since they changed how the game loads up now and how you get into Save The World I forget to log in for my daily bonus. Do you play Save The World? How are you liking Save The World? I feel it makes a nice change from the Battle Royale side of things.

It's always a fun time when you hit the top spot but such a bummer when you find out that someone managed to knock you off that top spot in the end and it's always a pain to be able to try and get the top spot back as well no matter how hard you try. I mean I still try when it happens but it usually seems to take forever!

We all have a time when we purchase a phone and it doesn't live up to expectations at all. It either isn't as good as it said it would be or you have nothing but issues with it right out of the box and regret making the purchase you did. I remember when I was younger, my Mum bought be an Alcatel phone and the phone was great but suddenly it started to turn itself off and wouldn't power back on. I never took it into the bathroom with me or had it near any water. When me and my Mum took it back and mentioned it they said they would send it in for repair. I was without a phone for about a week only for them to come back and say that we had damaged it as it was damp on the inside, they tried to accuse us of taking it in the bathroom and also having it near water which wasn't the case. We in the end got a refund and never went back to the store for a phone again and I have steered clear of Alcatel phones ever since. Have you ever had any issues with a phone you bought? What were they?

As much as I would probably have a use for them when buying game keys in bulk I have never done so due to not really having a use for them at the time. I do love the fact you can buy games in bulk for a low price and some of them are usually really good games as well for the price so you can end up with a bargain or maybe more when buying keys that way.

I have definitely had an interest in the Steam Deck but at the moment it is not in my budget. Being able to play certain games away from my PC and have access to my steam library handheld sounds pretty awesome to me. I know that some games are just not compatible for it and I think that is the only thing putting me off as well. I would definitely have to do some more research into it and what games are available before I considered jumping on it.

I knew there were emulators out there to be able to player older games from older consoles on your PC but it's not something I have ever used to be honest. The only thing I have ever used on my PC has been bluestacks which allows you to download apps from Google Play Store on your PC and play them through your PC which is ideal if you don't have a device capable of running certain games.

It's hard for me to say as I haven't even been able to use an i7 nevermind and i9 but everyone seems to be raving about the i9 so it must be good I would have thought. Personally I don't see myself getting a PC with an i9 for a long time due to the price not matter how great it may be and if an i7 works just fine for newer games that would be my go to for now.

As much as this would have been great to have on the original Xbox I do believe that broadband fast enough would have still been too young to manage online gaming in such a way that it would have been strong enough to manage. Yes, it would have really helped them but I feel them waiting was the better option in the long run whilst technology got better.

I remember back when I used to use Facebook quite frequently I used to play a lot of the games on there and one of them was Farmville. Out of curiosity I had a look on the Google Play Store and found that it is now available as a mobile app called Farmville 2: Country Escape. Has anyone here tried Farmville 2: Country Escape? What are your thoughts on it? I am installing it now to take a look.

Back when my Dad had an Amiga I always remember him sitting and playing The Lemmings and through watching him play, I got interested in the game and would often ask if I could play. I remember the game being a ton of fun but very frustrating as you progressed through the levels and I would often get annoyed by the fact that I struggled to get past certain levels. I remember hearing that it was supposed to make a comeback but I never heard anything else after that. It would be cool to see The Lemmings make a comeback. Did you ever play The Lemmings?

Chrono Trigger was another game I never got the pleasure to play unfortunately but I do hear that it was a really great game back in it's time and one I regret missing and not playing. I know there are ways I could still play it I believe and I would love to be able to experience the game at some point when I have the time. Watching YouTube videos on it I definitely feel that I would enjoy the game given the chance to play it.

One of the games I remember playing a lot as a child was Pacman. I remember how addictive this game would be when I was a kid and how my parents would always struggle to get me off the game to get ready for bed or even ready for school. It's a really addictive but fun game and the fun part for me was always trying to beat my high score. I am so happy that we now have the ability to play Pacman in the form of a Battle Royale game on the Nintendo Switch as it means I can still play the game but in a more fast paced way. Did you play Pacman growing up and have you played the Battle Royale version on the Nintendo Switch?

I do not have any customized controllers or gear at the moment but I have in the past looked into the Elite 2 controller and also creating my own unique controller through the Xbox Store but the prices at the moment for those are way too much for me to pay under the circumstances. If anything was to change and I was to ever have enough money to get one of these controllers I would jump on it for sure.

I have in the past sold old consoles and video games back to my local games store for store credit that has helped me buy a newer game or console in the past, however it started getting more difficult when I would hand down old consoles to my children when I would upgrade so I have not sold any consoles for a while to get newer consoles, instead it's been that I have bought them outright for say myself or as gifts for my children for say Christmas.

The Xbox Series X is the most expensive console I feel I have ever seen myself to be honest. I would be willing to pay that much for that console but I feel anything any higher than that at this moment in time I would not pay anymore for. In the UK the console itself retails at £449.99 but in a bundle it can be as much as £499.99. That to me is worth it and about as much as I would pay for a console at the moment. I would never pay any scalpers on places like eBay for consoles who tend to buy them at retail and sell them at double the price.

All too often especially when I was growing up you would always get your grandparents saying "Playing those video games is a waste of time, you should be outside playing" and it would often get me thinking am I wasting my time playing these games? The more I grew up and the more I gamed, the more I realised just how much gaming helps me especially mentally. I could sit and watch TV all day and do absolutely nothing or I could sit and play a game, keep my brain working and have it help me in more ways than just having fun. Gaming is definitely not a worthless hobby and I am so glad that people are now taking gaming much more seriously especially in how it helps people.

Graphics do not matter to me at all as long as the game I am playing is good in terms of the storyline. I would much rather play a game that has a great storyline and gets me drawn in than have great graphics and a terrible story line. I always feel that a good storyline for any game makes the game and really pulls you into the game and if the game is playable no matter how good the graphics are I am happy with that.

I honestly did not know that they did a game like this so it must have been one that I missed. It looks like the kind of game I would sit and play though as I have played many games similar in the past. I often sit and look at games that I missed when I was younger and sometimes wish I could go back and play them after missing out. This definitely seems like one of those games for sure!

The one game I remember playing on NES that was based on a movie wasn't a game that I owned personally but it was a game that friends owned and I was able to play on it when I was at their house. It was a fun game and one I did wish I owned myself but never did. Wasn't there also Michael Jackson's Moonwalker available on Nintendo if I remember rightly? This was a game we owned because my brother was a huge fan of Michael Jackson and got the game to play, that was a lot of fun to play as well.

Was Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 really that 'good'?
Shortie replied to Smokey's topic in Video Games
Back when it was first released and when we didn't know anything like we do now for the games it was a game that I really did enjoy a lot and I remember playing it for hours with friends and had a lot of fun. I feel that if it was to be released at a time such as now, knowing what they are capable of for their games now, to me it wouldn't have been the greatest of games. Back then it was all new to use what they were doing with Modern Warfare 2 so back then it felt like a really good game. -
I have always been a fan of driving games but I haven't played them in a while myself to be honest. I love to hang out and play games such as Forza Horizon and I remember when I was a kid we used to have a Nigel Mansell I believe it was an F1 game for the Super Nintendo and that was a game I used to spend a good chunk of time playing after school when I had done my homework.

Having seen where VR is now and how much it's progressed over the years, I can only imagine where they will take it in the near future. Technology has evolved so much over the years and we are seeing things I never thought I would see now and had you asked me 20 years ago if we would see things we do now in technology I would have laughed and said no. In terms of how I feel it would be in years to come I really couldn't say but if we go by how other things have evolved I would imagine we would see it being a lot more better than it is now. It is going to be exciting to see it evolve over the years.

I haven't had the opportunity to use a VR headset myself at the moment but from what I hear from others it can be a bit too much to wear it for a long period of time and frequent breaks are necessary if you are going to use one. This leads me to agree that I wouldn't be able to wear one all day in an office, anyone who is able to do this without issue is built different for sure as I can only imagine how it would feel to wear one for a long period of time. Surely wearing it for very long periods wouldn't be good for you though?

Being that I haven't purchased a VR headset or used on myself I only know so much about VR and how it works but I do know that there are quite a few games out that have become quite popular. I know that beat saber is one of the more popular ones and I have seen many people playing this VR game and it does look like a lot of fun but also somewhat difficult. Definitely sounds like a game I would be all for when I did get a VR headset. What is your favourite VR game? What makes you choose this game over all others?

Just Dance 2023 was released last month with a whole new overhaul of the game. It's a refreshing change compared to previous games if I am honest and it's nice to see that they have made improvements. Usually I get it for my kids for Christmas Eve but I got it earlier this year as I plan to change it up a little for Christmas Eve this year. Have you picked up Just Dance 2023 this year? What are your thoughts on the huge overhaul of the game?
